Isaiah 41:10-Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
In a world full of anxious circumstances, destruction, unbelief, chaos, fear, uncertainty, calamity, wars, rumor of wars, diverse weather, panic and worry, God says to "fear not" for He is with you.
Are you struggling with or living in fear and anxiety? Have all the circumstances in the world caused you to fear and not trust God?
In the midst of whatever is happening in our lives, mentally, emotionally, physically, financially or spiritually, God sends forth a promise of His ever presence with us in them.
Even though these emotions are normal, God does not want them to become our normal. He wants "faith" to be the normal for the believer, regardless of what we see, hear or experience. Romans 1:17b- The just shall live by faith.
I must admit, that I once lived in fear for years and the more I feared, the more fear grew out of control in my life. What I have learned is the fact that fear is a prison that will hold us captive as long as we let it.
The more we live in fear, the less we live the life that God has already predestined for us. Jeremiah 29:11-For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Fear is a prison that God has already set us free from, but the enemy of our minds tend to make us think that we are to still be captive to it for it is our master, but scripture declares on today that the Lord our God is the Master of his people for He declares that He is their God.
People of God, the Lord says "fear not" for I am your God. Wow! Did you hear that? In other words, if you have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ through faith in God's atoning work at Calvary, God claims you as His own and tells you that there is no need to fear.
Remember, before Jesus departed this earth, he tspoke these profound words to His disciples in John 16:33-I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer. I have overcome the world.
As chaotic as the world may seem, God is still in control for He is the Sovereign God.
The command from God to His people on today is "Do not fear"!
Why is God telling us not to fear nor be dismay? (1) For He is with us. (2) I am your God, (3) I will strengthen you, (4) I will surely help you (5) surely I will uphold you with My righteous hand.
The call is to let our fear meet faith on today. Faith in the promises of God's Word, knowing that they are true and that they will accomplish everything God send forth His Word to do.
Scripture declares in Romans 8:15-or you have not received the spirit of slavery again to fear. But you have received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba, Father.”
1 John 4:18-There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
God's love for us is perfect. He proved it to us at the "Cross" when He rescued us from sin, death and the penalty of sin. It is God's perfect love that can only drive out fear in our lives.
Turn your fears into faith on today, people of God. Psalm 34:9-Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints; for the ones who fear Him will not be in need.
When we trust God and fear not, God promises to give us everything we need in Him.
Indeed the Word of God is a promise that is worth holding on to this day and everyday.
Psalm 28:7a-The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusts in Him and I am helped.
I pray that we all would let fear be driven out of our lives by faith in God and His promises given us in His Word.
When we have truly put our trust in God, lean not unto our own understanding, acknowledge God in all our ways, He promises to direct our path with His Holy, Mighty and Powerful presence.
People of God, the Lord your God promises to never leave you nor forsake you, but to be with us always, even unto the end.
Fear not! You have the ever presence of the Lord your God with you.
