Psalm 121:1-8 I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from where does my help come?
2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. 4 Behold, He who guards Israel
shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is your guardian; the Lord is your shade at your right hand.
6 The sun shall not harm you during the day, nor the moon during the night.
7 The Lord shall protect you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from now and for evermore.
The psalmist of this text declares on today that his eyes will be lifted up to the hills from whence cometh his help for he alone knows that his help comes from the Lord who is the maker and creator of all people and all things. The God of heaven, the Lord our God.
The God who never falters, the God who promises and fulfills, the God who will do just what He says, the God who sits high and looks low. The God who promises to love and care for His people.
The Lord is indeed the "Keeper" of His people. If you do not know Him for the pardon of your sins, I urge you to make haste in seeking a personal relationship with Him through His Son Jesus Christ. Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.
When the true storms and troubles of life comes, He is the One who will keep you and I in them. He is the God that promises to be our protector, guide and our shelter in the storms and troubles of life and our protector from evil.
It is the Lord God who keeps watch over us. He knows our going out and our coming in. He knows our lying down and our uprising.
The Lord is indeed the "Keeper" of His people. Trust Him on today for He alone knows what is best for us. He alone promises to take care of us.
