John 13:21-27 -When Jesus had said this, He was troubled in spirit, and testified,“Truly, truly I say to you that one of you will betray Me.”
22 The disciples looked at one another, uncertain of whom He spoke.23 Now there was leaning against Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples whom Jesus loved. 24 Therefore Simon Peter motioned to him to ask who it was of whom He spoke.
25 Leaning back against Jesus’ bosom, he said to Him, “Lord, who is it?”
26 Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it.” When He had dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. 27 After receiving the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you are going to do, do quickly.”
OMNISCIENT=The Omniscient, God. The God who has complete or unlimited knowledge, awareness or understanding; perceive all things.
In this text, as Jesus met with His disciples He foretells of His betrayal by one of them. They all questioned Him as to who it was, even to the point of saying "Lord, is it I"?
Jesus knew His betrayer walked daily among Him.
As a matter of fact, when Jesus chose his betrayer as one of His disciple, He already knew who he was for He said to them all in John 6:70-“Have I not chosen you, the twelve, and yet one of you is a devil?”
Jesus knew when He chose Judas as one of His disciples, that He would be the one to betray Him. The will of God and the words of God spoken through the prophets of old had to be fulfilled.
Zechariah 11:13-I said to them, "If it is good in your sight, give me my wages; but if not, never mind!" So they weighed out thirty shekels of silver as my wages.
Throughout God's Word found in His bible, we are given evidence after evidence of God's foreknowledge of everything.
Nothing catches God by surprise. Nothing is hidden from God for scripture declares that His eyes roams through the earth. NOTHING IS OUT OF GOD'S VIEW!!!!
God alone knows what the future holds for the entire world and every human being. He alone is the "Sovereign God." He knows and sees everything before it manifests.
God alone knows our every thoughts before we think them, He knows the strands of hair on our heads, He knows the number of days of our life, He knows our beginning and our ending, He knows where we are. He knows our going out and and our coming in.
God foreknew who would accept His Gospel and who would reject it. In His love and mercy for us, He will not force us to accept Him, but therefore, gives us a choice by means of "free will".
Accept or reject God and His word does not negate the fact that He is the "ALL KNOWING GOD."
Let's listen to David's declaration of God's foreknowledge in Psalm 139: 1-7-O Lord, You have searched me and known me.2 You know when I sit down and when I get up; You understand my thought from far off. 3 You search my path and my lying down and are aware of all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O Lord, You know it fully.
5 You put Yourself behind and before me, and keep Your hand on me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is lofty, and I cannot fathom it.
7 Where shall I go from Your spirit, or where shall I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend to heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning and dwell at the end of the sea, 10 even there Your hand shall guide me, and Your right hand shall take hold of me.
In now knowing that God has "FOREKNOWLEDGE" of everything in life, it would seem that in the minds of the people of this world, that accepting and trusting God with our now and our future would be in our best interest.
Sad to say, but many people daily reject Christ and seek to live according to their own choices and then blame God when things do not work out the way they planned them.
In a personal relationship with the "ALL KNOWING GOD", He daily leads and guides, direct, instruct, rebuke, correct and show us the paths to take by means of His Holy Spirit.
God already knows what's ahead in our future. It would only make since to let Him be the driving force in our lives!
Romans 8;29-For God knew His people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
If you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, I pray that you get to know Him on today. I pray that you discontinue in your trust in self and self leading for God's Word declares that He foreknew the plans He has prepared for you. Plans to prosper you and to give you hope and a future.
What are you going to do with Jesus on today?
Now that you know God knows your beginning, your yesterday, your today and your tomorrow, what are you gonna do with that information?
Jesus says in Matthew 7:21- 23“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonderful works in Your name?" 23-But then I will declare to them, "I never knew you. Depart from Me, you who practice evil."
God knows you and I and everything about us.
The question to be answered on today is "do you know Him"? Do you know the Lord? Do you have a personal relationship with God who declares to know everything about you?
1 Peter 1:20 For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you..
Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near.
God bless you.
