Judges 21:25- In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.
There are 2 views in life. What we see and what God sees.
Whose lense are you viewing form? Oh, you said your's? What's in your view?
Scripture declares that in the days when there was no king in Israel, the people also viewed life from their own view.
The view from their lense of "me, myself and I" lead them into doing what was "right" in their own eyes.
Who decides what is'right'? Who sets the standards for what should be right? The Creator God or man whom God created?
Which path have you found yourself on today? Where has the lense of "me, myself and I lead you so far? Where is it leading you? In which direction has it taken you? To God or apart from God?
There are many sincere people who want to do right, but they want to decide for themselves what is "right", good and evil.
The consequence of viewing life from the lense of "me, myself and I" are deadly according to scripture.
The danger in living and doing what appears to be "right" in our own eyes is found in these powerful words of King Solomon in Proverb 14:12, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
We are told in Proverb 3:5-7 trust the Lord with all our heart and lean not unto our own understanding but n all our ways acknowledge God and He will direct our path.
The call today is to fear God (reverence and respect Him and His word as authority in our lives), depart from evil and not be wise in our own eyes.
Have we gotten to a place where we can now believe that we do not need God's intervention in our lives?
Have we lead ourselves to believe that we could make every decision on our own apart from the consideration of God and His Word?
Have we replaced the True and Living God with "self" as god?
Most people live by their own rules, instead of living by God's Word that is found in the Bible. Many have even gone as far as twisting the meaning of scripture in order to justify their wickedness.
Some people even corrupt the meaning of the Scriptures in an attempt to justify their wickedness. Romans 1:25-They turned the truth of God into a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the creator.
Haggai 1:7 - This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Give careful thought to your ways."
God will make judgment against all who put themselves above Him.
Proverbs 21:2 - "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the hearts".
Proverbs 16:2 - All of a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD.
Proverbs 12:15 - "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he who heeds counsel is wise"
God knows our ways. There is no escaping that!
Scripture declares in Proverbs 16:9 - We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.
Psalm 86:11 - "Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth: unite my heart to fear Your name".
Psalm 25:4 - "Shew me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths". Why? Because there is a way that seemeth right to a man, but the end there of is tragedy.
Let me make this clear on today. Regardless of which lense you are viewing your life from, clear sight only comes from the lense of God's Word that is found in His bible.
Contrary to what you have heard, seen or think you know, Jesus is the way! He is the Door! Enter therein! John 14:6-I am the way, the truth and the life; no man comes unto the Father but by me declares Jesus.
Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter at the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who are going through it,14 because small is the gate and narrow is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Romans 2:5-6 But because of your hardness and impenitent heart, you are storing up treasures of wrath against yourself on the day of wrath when the righteous judgment of God will be revealed, 6 and He “will render to every man according to his deeds.”[a]
Anyone who has convinced themselves that they can live according to what is right in their own eyes lives on a path of misery and deceit that will eventually lead to destruction because the way of true love, peace and joy through Christ Jesus they have rejected and care not to know.
When all the serving "Me" is over, what do you have left? A heart that will be examined by God.
I can only hope and pray that at the end of the day, you have come to the conclusion that your way is not the best way! GOD IS THE ONLY WAY!
Jeremiah 29:11- I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and ot of evil, to give you an expected end.
Believe it or not, but viewing life from the lense of me, myself and I will not lead to the promises given to those who view life through the lense of our Creator, God.
Life ever lasting in the garden ended with the view of "me, myself and I", sin was brought on all humanity which means we all stand in need of God's help to be able to truly view life as He intended it from the lense of scripture.
The lense of scripture is the only route that leads to life everlasting with the Father. All other routes taken in from the view of "me, myself and I" ends on a dead end road that is full of traps that eventually leads to destruction and separation from God now and in eternity.
Viewing life from the sight of creation or the Creator? One leads to life and one leads to eternal death. Which are you viewing from on today?
God gave His bible scripture as man's compass on earth. What are you doing with it? Are you using it or have you created your own route?
If you are living your life according to what is right in the eyes of “ me, myself and I”, I beg and plea with you on today that you seek the Lord for you have been deceived by satan that you have become your own god.
Psalm 100:3-Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves.
Believe it or not, but heaven and hell are real places according to the Word of God.
Where you will spend eternity will be determined by which lense you lived your life out of. Either the lense of "me, myself and I" or the lense of God's Word that is found in His bible.
If you are reading this blog today and you have been living your life through the lense of "me, myself and I", it is not too late for you to repent and turn back to God for He will pardon you and receive you unto Himself.
John 6:37 All whom the Father gives Me will come to Me, and he who comes to Me I will never cast out.
Today is the day to change your lense. You do have an option! Which will you choose? To continue viewing life through the lense of me, myself and I or take them off and put on the lense of God who created you?
Today is a brand new day. A day to make a fresh new start with God, a day to clear your vision, a day to change your lense and the direction of your life now and in the future.
