Psalm 11:3 – When the foundations of law and order have collapsed. What can the righteous do?”
In a world where wrong is accepted as being right and right is accepted as being wrong, in a world where men and women live according to what is right in his or her own eyes, in a world where hate and evil seems to be the order of the day, in a world where fear and anxiety seems to take full reign in the minds of many, what are we to do who trust in God alone?
David, gives us the answer to a way of escape in a world where the foundations of law and order has collapsed. Let’s listen to Psalm 61:2-From the end of the earth I will cry to You; when my heart faints, lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Believe it or not, but every circle ends with a choice to choose or accept Christ.
Every troubled circumstances, crisis, death, etc has lead us back to God. Now if we choose to go to Him or not is another question, but the answer is always in Him.
David had found himself in a very terrible place at this time in his life that caused him to fear not only fear for himself, but for God's people.
David wants the people of God to know, based on his personal experience, that there is something the righteous can and must do, even in the most disturbing trials and circumstances of life.
If you are a child of God, a believer, a child of the True and Living God, you will be faced with all kinds of test and trials in this world. The good news is you do not have to face them alone.
Jesus encourages us today in John 16:33-I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer. I have overcome the world.”
As the people of God, with Jesus on our side, you and I should be able to face the difficulties of this world with peace.
Our faith in Christ should give us confidence in the face of calamity, adversity, rejection, persecution, etc. because we have an assurance in Christ Jesus that with Him we can make it for God is with us.
Psalm 34:17-the righteous cries and the Lord hears them and delivers them from all their troubles.
Jesus is our Anchor in the midst of life’s stormy sea. He is the anchor that steadies our soul. He is the anchor that keeps us from drowning in the sinful pleasures of this dying world, He is the anchor that is able to keep us afloat when everything around us appears to be sinking. Yes, Jesus is our anchor!
Who else can you run to? Where else can you go? Who is greater than our God? The same God who crated man is able to save him too.
If you do not know Jesus Christ for the pardon of your sins, ask God right now to lead you to that Rock that is higher than you.
Jesus is standing in the midst of your storm, bidding you to come to Him! He declares these words to you today as He awaits you to come.
Matthew 11:28-29 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Though all the world may crumble around us, we can rest assured that the foundations upon which we rest shall never crumble or be destroyed for our God is from everlasting to everlasting. He is a Sure Foundation upon which we all ban build. He will NEVER be destroyed!
Yes, with Jesus you too can sing “it is well with my soul” for it is anchored in Him.
God bless and do tell the Lord thank you that your soul is ‘ANCHORED IN JESUS”!
LORD, IN A WORLD WHERE THE FOUNDATION OF LAW AND ORDER HAS COLLASPTED, LEAD US TO THE ROCK THAT IS HIGHER THAN US.
Jesus is the “ANCHOR.” I beg you to get Him in your boat because the storm is coming!
