Matthew 7:13-14 Enter at the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who are going through it,14 because small is the gate and narrow is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Today, Jesus Christ informs us that we all have a choice to make concerning the path to our eternal destination.
Yes, we all have a choice. Our way or God's way is the choice that is laid before every one of us who is still breathing.
We are commanded in scripture to be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of our minds.
There is so much clutter, junk and garbage that daily filters itself through our minds by way of thoughts, vision, conversations, readings, etc.
The call from God to all those who confess to have been born again is to daily cleanse, flush out or wash our minds by daily watering it with the Word of God.
The word of God is the only "plunge" that can suck out the garbage the enters therein our minds on a daily basis.
The choice today is the "narrow way" or the "broad way".
None of us is with excuse! Jesus has made it plain in this text!
We can convince ourselves through reasoning or persuasion as to how we think we should live what we call our "own lives," but God created mankind in His image for His purpose and His glory.
Jesus informs us in this text that there are 2 gates or 2 paths of life we can take here on earth. We can either take the gate that is described as the "narrow" gate that leads to life everlasting with God the Father or we can take the "wide gate" that the world is traveling and spend eternity separated from God when we transition from earth to eternity.
Because of His loving kindness towards us, Jesus warns us and encourages us to take the gate, road or pathway that leads to life.
The "narrow" way, road or gate is the path that is lead by the "Holy Spirit" on behalf of God for the believer. Those who confess Jesus Christ as Lord. Those who have purpose in their hearts that "compromise" will not be my way of life, even though the way may not be easy.
Jesus says the "narrow" road, gate, way is found by few.
1 Peter 4:8-If it is hard for the righteous to be saved , what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?
The "wide" way, road or gate is the path of deception that is lead by satan who is the god of this world.
A path that Jesus described as being wide and full of unbelievers. A path, road or way that had deceived many into believing it is the best path to take because that is the path that the crowd of eat, drink and merry is enjoying. The good crowd, the fun crowd, the crowd of compromise, denial and rejection of God's Word, Power and His Authority.
Jesus says the "wide" road, way or path is full and many find it. They find pleasure on it when they arrive there and many never get off of it and their lives end on that road that Jesus declares ends in "destruction."
Yes, you do have a choice on today. God's way or your way. The "narrow way" or the broad way."
One point I want to leave you with on today and that is "no one can serve God and the pleasures of the world" at the same time. Yes, satan has deceived many to believe this, but in this text, Jesus says "there is a choice to be made by you."
Thinking you can travel both sides of the road at the same time? Well, you have been overtaken by deception of the enemy.
All of us are either hot or cold. Here is what God declares that He will do with those who are luke warm.
Those who have convinced themselves that they can master living on the "narrow and wide roads" at the same time, here is a Word from the Lord for you that is found in Revelations 3:15-16- I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spit you out of My mouth.
Time out for compromise! Today is the day to state your claim as to who you will live for. God or the world? You do have a choice!
None of us knows our death date. People are leaving here every day, young and old alike and guess what, many did not get a chance to switch paths because they left suddenly and without warning.
Today is the day to make your election sure. Today is the day to choose whom you will serve.
Matthew 7:21-Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
You do have a choice on today!
What value have you placed on your soul? What is it worth to you?
This is not the time to draw away from God, but to draw nigh unto God.
There is an enemy out there seeking whom he may devour and I pray in the name of Jesus that you are not his prey.
Today is a day of decision making and no more compromising!
Anyone that reads this blog and continue on the "wide" road, path or way is "free fall" for the enemy of our your soul.
The world in which we live is showing us that the day of compromise MUST come to an end.
I pray that you will not compromise, but realize today that you do have a choice and that you choose the one that leads to life everlasting for this is the will of God for you.
Please, do not let the end of your life catch you on the "wide road." When is the end of our lives? We do not know, but we do know that one day we all will leave this world behind that we love so much.
You do have a choice!
HUMMMM!! I wonder what yours will be?
It is you alone who determines your eternal destination. The life you live now is the preparation for that place.
