Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.
Has the issues of life caused you to feel burden down? Does the weight of life's responsibility seems too much for you to bare at times?
Burden down spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically, financially, etc? Does any of these words describe your current situation?
If you answered yes to these questions, the Lord our God is calling you to cast your cares on Him for He alone can sustain you, He alone promises to never let you slip nor fall for He will uphold you with His powerful hands.
Yes, struggles are a part of life and unavoidable, but, the burdens of them do not have to be carried by you or I because God clearly states in His Word that He is willing to carry our heaven loads for He loves and cares for us.
I must admit that the cares of this world can indeed be a burden if we allow it. Burdens can make the heart sick and weary, but casting our burdens on the Lord by faith, trusting Him, taking Him at His Word can strengthen our hearts as we daily learn to release, let go and let God be God in our lives.
Regardless of our current situation or circumstances, we must know without a doubt that God cares for us to the point of not only taking on our burdens upon Himself, but He loved us enough to even die for us.
If God was willing to die for us, would He not give us what is needed to sustain us in the midst of life's test and trials? Yes He will!
1 Corinthians 10;13-No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful, He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But, when you are tempted, He will provide a way of escape so that you can endure it.
The command on today is to "cast", throw off, release our burdens into the hand of God, to find rest in His promises and in Him who is more than able to handle any and all things for scripture declares that "nothing is too hard for the Lord."
When the cares of this world tries to get us down or make us weary and worry about what is, what's not, what if, what could or should have been, etc, we are to do what's commanded in 1 Peter 5:7 -Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.
In other words, take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there.
There is a song I often heard the saints of old sing when I was a young girl growing up in the church and it is titled "leave it there."
Let's listen to the lyrics. If the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold, and you have to get alone with meager fare, just remember in His Word, how He feeds the little birds, take your burden to the Lord and leave it there. Refrain: leave it there, leave it there. If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out, take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there.
Burden down? Cast thy burdens (cares and worries) upon the Lord.
Man may promise to carry your heavy load for a while or to a certain distance and then hand it back to you, but God promises to carry our burdens and us from the moment we give it to Him through eternity.
When a ship is out at sea and a storm arise, the ship captain immediately tries to find the nearest seaport to drop his anchor.
The same applies to us, when life's storms comes in the form of trouble, sickness, unemployment, death, tragedy, lack, confusion, chaos, etc, we too must seek shelter at our seaport called "JESUS" for indeed Jesus is our "sea port" in which we MUST steer our ship (hearts) towards and drop our anchor in Him for He alone is the one who can guarantee our safety now and in eternity.
Burdens trying to get you down? Pray, sing a hymn of praise, shout unto the Lord or do like David did, dance before the Lord with songs of praise and worship.
God can give us a strong heart beat again if we could only trust and believe that He is able to not only see us through, but carry us through also.
Commit your way unto the Lord and see if He won't do just what he said concerning you in His Word.
Believe it or not, our test, trials, burdens, etc are no match for our God. One spoken word from God can erase years of pain and suffering.
I leave you with a few words from a poem title "Jesus cares"-When your heart is heavy and burdened and you can't see your way through, while you are going through trials and testing and don't know what to do. There's a friend above who watches and He cares what happens to you. This wonderful one is Jesus and He will see you through.
