1 Chronicles 16:23-31 Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day. 24 Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all the peoples.
25 For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. He is to be feared above all gods. 26 For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. 27 Honor and majesty are before Him; strength and joy are in His place. 28 Give to the Lord, O families of the peoples, give to the Lord glory and strength. 29 Give to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him, bow down to the Lord in holy array. 30 Tremble before Him, all the earth. The world also is firmly established; it shall not be moved.
31 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad. Let them say among the nations, “The Lord is King.”
The Ark of God had been brought in the midst of the tabernacle before the people, worship leaders had been appointed, a psalm of thanksgiving had been written by David for the people of God to sing to the Lord their God, the call to sing praise and thanksgiving to God by all the people, young and old is commanded and in doing so, they are to remember God's covenant with His people and His protection over His people and now in this text, it is time to sing the song of praise and thanksgiving to the Lord by everyone in attendance.
People of God, reflect back on the things that the Lord your God has already done for you. Ponder on how He shielded, provided and protected you and open wide your mouth on today in His house and give Him honor, glory, praise and thanksgiving from the fruit of your lips.
Let everything that has breath praise ye the Lord!
Lift up your eyes to the hills from whence cometh your help, knowing that your help comes from the Lord.
