2 Timothy 2:13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.
Faithful=Pistos in the greek and is defined as trustworthy, faithful, believing or confiding.
The Apostle Paul describes humanity and God in these few words when He says "faithless are we," but, Faithful is our God who can not deny who He is.
Throughout scripture we can clearly see God's track record of faithfulness to His people.
In his way to encourage Timothy to embrace and endure hardship for the sake of the Gospel, the Apostle Paul spoke these "trustworthy" sayings that are found in vs# 11-12 "If we die with Him (Christ), we shall also live with Him. 12 If we endure, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us.
Paul reminds Timothy that God’s promises are trustworthy and will not fail.
In other words Paul is saying that "as surely as Christ rose again from the dead, so shall we rise again; and if we die for Him, we shall surely live again with Him."
People of God, suffering hardship for the Gospel now results in eternal glory with Christ at the end of life as we know it now.
God has a long track record of faithfulness that not only testifies and still ring true today, but, His faithfulness is also displayed throughout the scriptures which testifies loudly that He who has not failed in the past will not fail now nor in the future. 1 Corinthians 13:8 Love never fails.
People of God, even when our circumstances in life attempts to appear as if God has failed us, scripture declares on today that He will NEVER fail us for the very nature of our God is one of faithfulness and trustworthiness.
Because of who our God is, people of God, we can have confidence in His ability to carry us forward and through to the end of our journey here on earth and throughout eternity.
