Ephesians 5:15-16 - See then that you walk carefully, not as fools, but as wise men, 16 making the most of the time because the days are evil.
Redeem the time! Is this what you find yourself doing daily?
Are you walking in the wisdom of God's Word which makes one wise, or are you walking in the ways of a fool doing your own thing?
Where do you stand concerning the wise and the foolish?
The command is to be very careful how we live our lives. The goal is to live it in a way that it will add to our account in heaven by making wise choices that are directed and lead by the Word of God.
Proverbs 4:7-Wisdom is principal; therefore get wisdom. And with all your getting, get understanding.
The time in which we now live is perilous and the days are evil.
Usage of our time in making wise decisions based on wisdom found in God's Word concerning our everyday life is of a great necessity for all of us.
If Christ likeness is our goal, we must redeem and use our time in a way that pleases God. We please God in this way, according to Colossians 3:2-Set your affection on things above, not on things on earth.
We also please God in storing up treasures in heaven and not on earth. We do this in working the work that God has assigned to our hands even before the foundation of the world. Doing what is important where the kingdom of God is concerned.
Everything on earth is temporary and everything in heaven is eternal. We all will spend eternity with God or apart from Him.
The eternal destination of our souls is determined by how we use the time we have been given either in the wisdom of God's Word or as a fool apart from God's Word.
Our lives here on earth should be lived in a way as of preparation for eternity.
Believe it or not, but every decision we make today will not only impact our tomorrow and our future but it also impacts our eternal destination.
Time is priceless and once time is lost, it can not be regained. Therefore, making the best of the time God has given us should be a priority for all of us and in doing so we would be counted among the wise and not fools.
The opportunities for misuse of our time is greater now than ever. There are so many distractions that we can not even begin to count them all.
Think about some of the opportunities we all have wasted in putting forth so much effort in things that are of no benefit to our spiritual growth, destination, nor the Kingdom of God.
If we could be honest for a moment, we ALL can confess that we can do better. We can make better use of the time that God has allot us.
The opportunity to serve God in our service to others is now.
Now is the day to put kingdom work at the forefront of our agenda.
Time is quickly passing and many are still lost. People of God, we have work to do.
To know God is to obey God and steer away from all that is not pleasing in His sight.
Life is short and when it is gone, it is gone.
The Apostle James describes life this way in James 4:14- What do you know about tomorrow? How can you be so sure about your life? It is nothing more than mist that appears for only a little while before it disappears.
As of today, we can no longer ignore nor give less thought concerning the choices we daily make because every decision comes with consequences, be it good or bad. Make it a habit of thinking before you leap.
Indeed, it is wise walking time! Have you started walking wise yet, are you putting it off today for tomorrow, or are you already walking in divine wisdom?
Redeem the time for soon it will be gone.
Waste no more time! We only get one chance so redeem the time and that is during this short life here on earth.
