Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye on you.
Instruct=: katécheó in the greek. I instruct orally, teach, inform. to inform by word of mouth, to be orally informed.
Teach= didaskó in the greek. I teach, direct, admonish. To be a teacher.
Need direction in life? Not sure of the way of Salvation? God is willing to teach, instruct and guide you.
The promise in this text is God's provision for those who are willing to receive Him by faith and follow His leading.
Let's listen to what He says He will do if we are willing to be taught by Him and follow Him. (1) I will instruct you, (2) I will teach you in the way you should go, (3) I will counsel you with my eyes on you.
When God sent His Son to shed His blood for the remission of our sins and to "Redeem" us unto Him, the work of reconciling us back to a personal relationship with Him did not stop there for it was the beginning of restoration.
Once we have accepted God's atoning work at Calvary by faith, we are saved and the process of salvation through Christ Jesus begins. How? Through the leading and teaching of God's Holy Spirit in His Word called the Bible.
It is the Lord's desire to teach His children in the way in which He would have them to go. His way of submission and obedience to His authority.
As a believer, we MUST seek and obey with humility, live in holiness, daily walk in integrity, be honest in our dealings with one another and faithful to God and the task that He has assigned to our hands, just to name a few.
No, God did not saved us to live life as we please. There is a standardof living for the Christian in which God has established for us to live by in His Word. We are to be taught through the Holy Scriptures so that we may be found complete in Him at the end of our Christ journey.
Direction is important for without it we get lost. Many are lost today because they refuse to be taught by God, but instead by self, they refuse to go the way in which God has already mapped out for us in His Word and they refuse to be counsel by God and be guided by God's eyes, but instead, they chose to be instructed and guided by what their eyes sees in the world and follow after that counsel.
God's goal is that we understand the way of salvation and in doing this, He has to teach, instruct us and watch over us as we travel through life so that we may end up at His expected end for us.
Man can instruct, but it is only God through His Holy Spirit who can make us understand truth for God says "I will make thee understand that which shall be done by me."
People of God, our Lord and Savior promises to instruct us with truth. The world offers us directions that are full of error, but the Lord’s guidance and directions always leads us the right way.
If we are truly hunger and thirsty for righteousness, when we open up our bible, God, through His Holy Spirit, teaches us and helps us understand through "revelation, the meaning of what we are reading.
Then, as God continues to teach and instruct us in the way of salvation, He promises to keep a watchful eye on us. He will not leave us to ourselves for He knows without His direction and His watchful eyes upon us, like sheep, we will stray away from the path of righteousness.
The decisions that we make daily can and will affect our future, now and eternity.
We need someone who will NEVER lead us wrong and can give us true and wise counsel. That person is the Lord God Himself.
