Proverbs 24:3-4 Through wisdom is a house built, and by understanding it is established; 4 and by knowledge the rooms will be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
I am sure we call can use wisdom for the bible declares "get wisdom and in all your getting, get understanding." Wisdom is indeed the principal thing!
There is nothing in this world too difficult for God. There is no crisis or obstacle that cannot be overcome by God's supernatural wisdom.
I believe we have come to the place and time in life where we must realize that if the families, marriages, parent/children relationships, etc will succeed in the way in which God would have our relationships to be is that we MUST operate in the wisdom of God.
We can no longer depend on human wisdom. Human wisdom has too many flaws. We have to go to the only source of pure wisdom and that is God.
Jeremiah 32:17 "Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. Isaiah 59:1 Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.
Godly wisdom is possible and is given to all who ask God for it.
James 1:5-8- If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.
The key to divine wisdom is "asking by faith and not doubting" that God can and will do just what He says.
Faith is believing without seeing. Hebrews 11:1-Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we cannot see.
Hebrews 11:6-And without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Godly wisdom or worldly wisdom? Which do you prefer?
Raising our children in the wisdom of the world or the wisdom of God? Scripture says "through wisdom" is a house built and by understanding it is establish.
When we spend time in the Word of God and meditate on it day and night, we will have that understanding that God speaks of in this text in our home and in our relationship with God and one another because in spending time with God and receiving His divine wisdom, He imparts His wisdom and thoughts into us and our thoughts and ways becomes His thoughts and ways.
Jesus gave a parable about 2 houses being built, one by a wise builder and one by a foolish builder. Let's listen to Matthew 7:24-27 Whoever hears these sayings of Mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock. 25 And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house. And it did not fall, for it was founded a rock. 26 And every one who hears these sayings of Mine and does not do them will be likened to a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house. And it fell. And its fall was great.
Is your house (family) being built on divine wisdom and is understanding being established in your relationship because of it?
How is your house being built? On the wisdom of God or on your own wisdom?
If Jesus is not your rock and solid foundation, your house of sand will eventually have a great fall when the storms of life come rushing in without warning and you have not prepared for it through the wisdom of God.
How are you building? On divine wisdom from God or on the wisdom of the world that tells you that you do not need God's wisdom because you can do it on your own apart from Him?
As you go about daily building your family relationship, remember this: Through wisdom is a house built, and by understanding it is established; 4 and by knowledge the rooms will be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
