Revelation 4:11-Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
First of all, we are here because it is the will of God for us to be here. Therefore, that is why he created us in His image. Not physical but spiritual.
God is not a physical being, He is a spirit. John 4:24-God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth."
We are spiritual being that live in an earthly house that is made of clay. The Apostle Paul describes our bodies as a "tent." As you and I know, a "tent" is set up only for a temporary stay.
Yes, these bodies of clay has a number of years and after that, ashes to ashes and dust to dust we all will return in these mortal bodies back to that which we came from, "DIRT" from the ground.
When man was created, he was a dead corpse. A pile of clay from the dirt of the earth that had no life. Adam was dead until God blew the breath of life into him and he became a living soul. It was God's spirit that He blew in the nostril of Adam that caused Him to come alive.
Genesis 2:7-And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
We are God's creation that was created for His glory and His good pleasure.
It is in the will of God for our lives where fullness of joy is found. Nothing else can satisfy that hunger and thirst inside of us for wholeness and completeness. Nothing! Not another person, not enough material possessions, things nor money can fulfill that deep spiritual emptiness that yearns to be filled when we are separated from God and His will for our lives.
It is God who loves us and created us. He had us on His mind and He made us for Himself.
Hebrews 2:6-7 What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him? You made them only a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.
God created us to love us. God does not need us, He is self sufficient. He is the Sovereign God. He wanted us, therefore He created us.
We are here to not only for His purpose and good pleasure, but to give Him glory and honor for His unconditional love towards us as our Creator.
God wanted us to love us and He provedthat love at Calvary.
Who are we? Ephesians 2:10-For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Yes, God has a different work for each one of us in His kingdom, but we all have been called to do the work that God has assigned to our hands.
None of us are an accident. We all are here for a purpose. Not sure what your purpose is? Seek God! One thing of surety is that God's will for your life is His first choice for you and I.
Why are you here? For God's glory and His good pleasure. We are here to be loved by Him and bring him glory and honor through our life living.
Matthew 5:16-Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
We were created also to show forth God's love to one another and to partner with Him in His kingdom work.
God receives glory when we love Him and love others as ourselves. He receives glory and good pleasure out of our services unto to Him through our service to others.
If self glory is your purpose for living, you have received your eternal reward. One that will perish! Only what we do for Christ will last.
Bottom line is this: God knows what is best for all of us. We were created for His glory and good pleasure. People can not fulfill that part of us because like you and I, they need God too.
Is God receiving glory out of your life? If not, why not? He created you and I just for that purpose.
Why am I here? Is this your question of the day?
Will you accept Christ and HIs love for you on today? If you do, your life will never be the same for it is in your relationship with Him is where you will find your purpose for being created.
