Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through waters, I will be with you. And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame kindle on you.
As God spoke this promise of assurance and comfort to Israel through the Prophet Isaiah back then, He speaks these same words of promise to you and I on today. Our God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He changes not.
At the time of this writing, Israel had been in Babylonian captivity. God's people were under great distress and oppression. Calamity was visible in their lives and it caused them to feel as though God had left them to suffer alone in a foreign land.
The Lord our God is declaring to us that in whatever situation or circumstances we find ourselves in that seems unbearable, be it calamity, trouble, distress, suffering, danger, tribulations, persecution, lack, trouble on every hand, fiery furnace experiences, etc., He is not only with us, but He will help us.
The command today is "fear not" for if you are saved, God has redeemed you (purchase you through Christ blood) and therefore, you have no reason to fret for He is with you. Trust Him on today to be God in your every situation.
Will the pain of our circumstances at times seems painfully unbearable? No doubt about it! But, God is still with us. We must keep telling ourselves that in the midst of it. This is the place where our faith has to kick in like never before.
God's will delivery us out of every situation that seems to overtake us. It may not be today, but God's promises are true and in His perfect timing, He will do just what He says concerning you and I if we keep the faith and faint not.
Fear not God's people, for the Lord your God says you are His and He loves you. He knows all about us and everything we go through.
The call is to trust and believe. Take Him at His Word. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.
People of God, take notice of what this text says. It does not say "if" we go through, but it says "when" we go through. That tells me that we are to expect trouble! it is a part of the journey.
The point in this text is the fact that we are not immune from the troubles and struggles of life just because we are Christians. No! We will go through too, but, we have God's promise of His ever presence with us in them.
People of God, we too must be mindful of what the scripture says concerning life's test and trials, even in our lives.
Take notice that this scripture is not saying "if" but "when" you pass through waters and rivers and fire. In this life and on this earth, no one is immune from trials, tribulations, troubles, and distresses in this life.
Jesus is proof that we too will suffer. Not at the level in which He suffered, but, we will suffer.
Keep in mind what Scripture says. Jesus Himself says in John 16:33-"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
The Apostle Paul declares this concerning God's people in 2 Timothy 3:12-yea, and all that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
Job declares these words in the midst of his suffering in Job 14:1 "Man born of woman is of few days and full of trouble."
Psalm 34:17-The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.
People of God, whatever your deep river, fiery furnace, red sea or valley experience may be, or whatever uncertainty of your now and your future or chaos in your life, remember that the Lord our God is with us and He love and cares for us. He will not allow that which comes against us to consume us. We must believe that in spite of what we see.
Let us continue to move forward in that which God has assigned to our hands to do in His Kingdom.
As the saints of old would say " I am gonna run on and see what the end is gonna be."
Whatever is holding you captive or may have you bound in your mind or physical body, God is able to fix it. There is nothing impossible for our God. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or think.
Remember what the Lord has already done. He saved us, He has kept us thus far and provided for our every need. He has sheltered us from the hands of the enemy over and over again, He has prepared a place for us in eternity with Him and on and on with so many wonderful blessings the Lord our God has bestowed upon us and has in store for us.
God's promise to you and I on today is that "I WILL BE WITH YOU!" BELIEVE IT!
Rejoice, O ye people of God, rejoice!
Thank you Lord for your everlasting presence.
God bless all of you people of God. Keep the faith and keep moving with Jesus in view.
