1 Timothy 2:1 Therefore I exhort first of all that you make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for everyone.
Supplications-“a request or petition.” Therefore, a prayer of supplication is asking God for something.
Prayer- Talking with God, seeking His favor, pouring out one’s soul to the Lord, cryig out to heaven, drawing near to God.
Intercession-praying on behalf of others.
Thanksgiving-Making our request known unto God with a thankful heart.
Pray ye for one another.
As people of God, we come to God on a daily basis with all types of requests, confession and a long list of many other things we want God to do in the lives of our families, the unsaved, sick, bereaved, poor, hurting, needy, wounded, etc.
On today, let us come into agreement in corporate prayer as the body of Christ before God our Father on behalf of the people of Texas who desperately stand in need of our prayers.
Let us also pray for their faith, God's mercy and deliverance on their behalf.
Pray that even in the midst of a natural disaster the people will not grow weary and give up on their faith in God. Pray that in spite of what they may be going through or even see with their natural eyes, that they would know without a doubt that God still loves and cares for them.
As I look at the devastation and aftermath of the storm in Texas, I believe that we as people of God need to go into intercessory prayer on behalf of those that have been affected by this storm. Those brothers and sisters that are hurting and suffering from the results of such a devastating storm that has ravage their cities.
We are urged in scripture to intercede on their behalf. Let us humbly pray in dialogue to our Father in heaven concerning the issue at hand in Texas, around the world and the healing of all of our nations.
Philippians 4:6-Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with gratitude, make your requests known to God.
Psalm 4:3-Know that the Lord set apart the faithful for Himself; the Lord hears when I call to Him.
We are to pray by faith believing first that God is and that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or think according to the power that worketh in us.
Mark 11:24-Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you will receive them, and you will have them.
To those of you who know how to pray, I asked that you come into agreement with me on behalf of the residents of Texas that God would allow the much needed resources to come to that city to help those that are need.
Jesus reminds us in Luke 18:1-Men ought to always pray and not lose heart. In other words, pray and DON'T give up.
Scripture declares in James 5:16a The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
Psalm 145:18-19 “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them.”
People of God, prayer of faith is being requested by ALL OF US on behalf of the people of Texas, our nation and all nations around the world on today.
The righteous cries out to the Lord and He promises to hear and answer them.
