1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your care upon Him, because He cares for you.
Cast= epiriptó in the greek and defined as I throw (cast upon), as of cares. To throw away, throw off.
Cares=merimna in the greek and is defined as care, worry, anxiety, concern.
Fears, worries, anxiety, stress, uncertainty about your future, difficult circumstances, painful situations that appears to be impossible and hard? Throw them off of you and give them to God.
Whatever it is that you are dealing with on today God's people, the call from God to you is to "cast your cares upon Him for He cares for you."
Casting all my cares on God. What is God trying to tell us? He is trying to tell you and I to let go of trying to be in full control of our lives and it's affairs.
People of God, we MUST release, let go and trust God through the leading of His Holy Spirit to guide and direct us along life's journey. We can't do it ourselves!
People of God, the Lord our God cares for us. He proved His love and care for us through Christ Jesus death on a bloody cross at the hands of His enemies over 2k years ago.
What cares are we to throw off onto God who cares for us? All those things that hinders our walk with God. All the anxiety, worries and fears, distractions and voices of the enemy that need to be shut out. Those things that attempts to daily make themselves first in our lives.
There is peace that surpass all understanding that is available to us through Christ Jesus, even when there may be times in our lives when the struggles and tests of life may be anything but peace be still.
There is a calm assurance that is being offered on today through faith in Christ Jesus alone. This peaceful assurance comes only from God through a personal relationship with Christ Jesus.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Yes, it is our God in heaven that still reigns and always will. It is He who is willing to take our burdens, worries, anxiety and fears upon Himself.
To give our cares to God requires us to humble ourselves under the mighty hands of God. As humans, we have a tendency to be prideful. We all have pride to some degree, if we could be honest for a moment.
1 Peter 5:6-Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
Humility means accepting God's rule instead of ours. It means accepting His rule when we don't understand. It means accepting His rule when He doesn't give us an explanation to all our why's and how's.
Humility causes us to see our own weakness, recognize our need for dependence on God and rely upon Him for strength needed for the journey of life ahead.
As humans, we want self rule and not the Sovereign rule of God in our lives. But, when chaos breaks loose in our lives, we want the Sovereign rule of God then.
Suffering humbles us and forces us to accept the Sovereign rule of God in our lives because there is no other help, rest or assurance that is available to us for the much needed peace and rest for our weary souls.
God has a purpose in allowing suffering and pain in our lives. One thing of a surety is it puts our mind and focus back on God and forces us to see our weakness and our need for God's supernatural strength and power to sustain us.
Regardless of what we may suffer or have to endure, God promises us that it will benefit us in the end. Yes, there is purpose in our pain. God will sustain us, He will never let us fall because He cares for us.
Romans 8:28 We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
What are you going through this morning? What is causing you to worry and feel burden down with anxiety and fear?
Perhaps things in your life are not going the way you planned them to or maybe you arose to unexpected circumstances that is now causing you to feel anxious, stressed and worried.
Well, the good news on today is that regardless of what condition we may find ourselves in on today, God is calling us to cast our cares upon Him for He cares for us. He is telling us that the weight and cares of this mean world is a load that is too heavy for us to carry and that He is willing to carry it for us.
People of God, today is the day of your release from the burdens, worries, fears and cares of this world that has been tormenting and weighing you down.
Let it Go! Give it to God for He is willing to carry your heavy load!
Let it go! Give it ALL to God!
I surrender all to you! Withholding nothing!
