Lamentations 3:22-23 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed; His compassions do not fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
MERCY=eleos in the greek and means pity, mercy, compassion. Mercy: that of God toward sinners. Mercy: kindness or good will toward the miserable and afflicted.
The book of Lamentation is the "mourning" of Jeremiah over the destruction of Jerusalem.
Jeremiah is known as the "weeping Prophet" because he cried tears of sadness, not only because he knew that God's wrath was coming upon his people just as God said it would for disobedience and idolatry, but also because no matter how hard he tried to encourage the people to turn from their evil ways and turn back to God, the people would not listen.
The Prophet Jeremiah reminds us on today that God, who is the God of all mercy has made available to all of us, His love and compassion in the form of "mercy" instead of the "WRATH" we all deserve for sin. Proof of God's mercy and grace is revealed at the Cross.

As a matter of fact, we are reminded in this text that God's mercy (His kindness) towards humanity is new every morning for the Lord our God is faithful. Yes, God can be trusted and yes, you can depend on Him to do just what He says.
People of God, regardless of how bad your situation may look or how bad the circumstances may be that you have awaken to this morning, the Lord your God offer you new mercy.
God is still on the throne and we can find comfort in the Word of God on today because it reminds us that the enemy did not have the full effects of his way against us because of God's mercy towards us.
Sometimes in the middle of going through, we tend to forget that God has His eyes on us and has dispatched his angels to take charge over us daily.
People of God be encouraged on today for the Lord God has us right where He wants us to be for whatever reason. Regardless, we are in His view!
People of God, it is amazing that this book of the Bible is about the unimaginable suffering of God's people, but in the midst of all this suffering and weeping, God, through the Prophet Jeremiah sends forth "hope" and encouragement to Jeremiah and His people with the assurance of God's "mercy" and it's availability every morning to all who would repent and turn from their ways and turn to the true and living God.
Repent=metanoeó in the greek and means to change one's mind or purpose.
If you have been living your life wayward and in rebellion against God, the "mercy" of God is available to you if you are willing to change your mind about sin and the truth of it's consequences and turn to God and His truth through Christ Jesus for the saving of your soul.
God's "MERCY" is not only available right now, but every morning.
Today is a new day and the "mercy" of God is fresh and new again.
Morning is the start of a new beginning. Your slate can be wiped clean today by God and everything in your life can become fresh and new if you would surrender your will to His for your life on today.
"MERCY' is calling on today! Do you hear the mercies of God calling you to Him? Well, even if your answer is no, like Jeremiah who told Israel about God's mercy, I am telling you on today that it is available to you too.
Matthew 16:25 - For whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
The unfailing love of God towards humanity never ends! It is by God's mercies that we have been kept through dangers seen and unseen. It is because of God's mercy that we have been kept from complete destruction by the enemy of our soul.
