Psalm 145:18 The Lord is near to all those who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.
David understood something that you and I need to understand. He knew that God was with him no matter what was going on in his life and no matter how he felt.
We are reminded in this text that when we call upon the Lord based on His truth that is found in His Word He hears us.
As we daily seek to live our lives in a pleasing and acceptable way to God in doing our best to obey Word, seek His face in spirit and in truth, we can have an assurance that the Lord will hear us.
The problem with many people today is the fact that they only want to seek the Lord when troubles comes or when all hell has broken loose in their lives and when they can’t connect with God, they tend to blame God because they have chosen to be in urgent and emergent fellowship with Him and not in daily fellowship through a personal relationship with Him.
The promise that we have people of God is that the Lord hears the cry of the righteous. His ear is attentive to our cry for mercy and His power and provisions for us can be found in Him when we seek Him in spirit and truth.
Scripture declares that only those who call upon the Lord in truth will hear from Him.
What is the spiritual condition of your heart? How are you calling upon the Lord? In spirit and in truth or just calling to get out of your painful situation?
If you call upon the Lord God in spirit and in truth you will find that He is righteous in all his ways and gracious in all his works
People of God, cease not to call upon the Lord for He desires to daily hear from you.
Not only is the Lord God near His people that calls on Him in truth, He also fulfills the desires of those who reverence Him.
The assurance to those who have placed their faith and trust in God is that we have no reason to fear for when we draw nigh unto the Lord our God He draws nigh unto us.
Draw nigh to God in truth and He will hear and answer you!
