Exodus 14:14 The Lord shall fight for you, while you hold your peace.
After having been lead out of Egyptian bondage and now on their way to the land of promise the children of Israel is met with a red sea that seems impossible to cross.
To make matters worse not only are God’s people faced with the red sea they also see the enemies behind them and on their trial in attempt to bring them back to Egyptian bondage.
In fear of the enemy wrath, the people of God turned to Moses in anger with these questions “Why did you lead us here? Is there not enough graves in Egypt? Why didn’t you leave us alone? We were better off as slaves.”
The people of God did not see this situation as another opportunity for God to perform a miracle on their behalf, but instead they saw their situation as a trap that will eventually upon them their death in the desert.
The people of God had just witness their miraculous exodus from Egypt by the powerful hand of God.
The question in their mind is not that we should trust God based on what we just saw him do for us but why would we be lead out of one bad situation into another? The reason was that God had another plan that was greater than what they were able to see with the natural eyes.
God was preparing Israel for renewed faith and trust in Him when He allowed their situation to look hopeless to them. God knew what He was going to do but He was showing them something about their God and His power over their enemies and His ability to deliver them.
In allowing the red sea before His people and the enemy behind them was God’s way of saying “trust me, I got this!”
People of God, whatever your red sea situation may be on today you must know without a doubt that the Lord your God is with you.
In the midst of uncertainty as to how God was going to perform yet another miracle on behalf of His people, Moses spoke to the people and said “fear not, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.”
In other words, regardless of what your eyes may see “God got this”!
In protection of His people God guided them safely across the parted red sea and destroyed everyone of those enemies that were on their trail.
When God is in it! Oh My Lord, victory is guaranteed against your enemies!
As with Israel then, God has plans for our red sea and our enemies too. What we must do is trust Him in the process. Believe that His Word and His promises concerning you and I are true and hold onto them tight by faith.
Continue to remind yourselves on today people of God that you will cross the red sea for the Lord your God has already gone before us and cleared the path.
Red sea before you and the enemy heading close behind you? God got this!
Be still and know that the Lord He is God.
God got this!
