1 Thessalonians 5:24 Faithful is He who calls you, who also will do it.
The Lord our God who call us is faithful!
To the church at Thessalonica the Apostle Paul writes this epistle on the unfailing faithfulness of the Lord their God.
In the verse prior to this one the Apostle Paul declares that the Lord our God who is the God of peace, will sanctify us wholly unto Him. Those whom He called unto salvation.
The sanctification process is a lifetime process in which we are daily being conformed and made in the likeness of Christ through the purging of selfish, fleshly desires and cravings.
The reason why we can have faith and believe that God will do what He says He will do concerning us is the fact that God is ‘FAITHFUL” and true to His word.
Numbers 23:19 - God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Scripture declares that the Lord God is the same yesterday, today and forever. If He was faithful then, He remains faithful today for He changes not!
God’s character as the “Faithful God” ensures us that He will fulfill that to which He calls us. God will faithfully complete His work. God is faithful to His promises.
As the people of God we have this confidence that is found in Philippians 1:6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
God is not only faithful to fulfill every promise, but He is faithful and just to forgive us of ALL of our sins if we confess them to Him.
It is impossible for God to be unfaithful because “FAITHFUL” is who He is!
Faithful is our God and YES, He can be trusted! It is because of His loving kindness and mercy that we arose this morning and have not been consumed by the enemy.
The Lord our God is the keeper and sustainer of His people.
Just as we can trust God to save us eternally, so we can trust Him to sanctify us completely.
Thank You Lord for you faithfulness to undeserving me.
FAITHFUL ARE YOU LORD!
