Psalm 56:3 In the day when I am afraid, I will trust in You.
David, like all of us, had his fair share of anxiety, sorrow and pain.
One thing we need to know and remember as people of God is the fact that we are not exempt from the struggles of life because we love the Lord and He loves us.
At the time of this writing David, a man after God’s own heart was fearing for his life but he knew where to run to in his time of trouble. He ran to the Lord HIs God who is the Rock that is higher than him and all his problems. David allowed his faith in God’s power and ability to cast out fear and doubt.
In this text today David shares the key to overcoming danger and difficulty with these profound words: When I am afraid, I put my trust in God.
Just because he loved the Lord doesn't mean his life was easy, but what it did mean was that he did not have to fear for God was with Him.
In having a personal relationship with God David was able to find comfort, confidence and assurance in God’s love and His presence even in the midst of trouble. If he didn’t have a personal relationship with God he could not have declared these words with such powerful conviction.
Today is the day to enter into a personal relationship with Christ. No, it won’t take away the trouble, but, it will take away the string of fear and worry.
Clearly, it is impossible to live in this world without ever facing uncertainty, doubt, confusion, and even fear.
Throughout scripture we are reminded to “fear not” and the reason for that reminder is to let us know that opportunities to fear comes with life issues and circumstances.
The right response to the test, trials and hardships in life is to admit our fears to the Lord and trust that He will work the situation out for His own glory and our good.
When trouble comes we must remind ourselves that GOD IS FOR ME."
People of God fear turns into faith when we place our trust in God.
If you have been carrying around heavy burdens from the cares of the world today is your day to allow your faith in God to cast out fear which is not of God.
Is there anything you're having a hard time trusting God with? Talk to Him about it. Tell Him your fears and your concerns.
The Lord our God who has been our Refuge and Strength in the time of trouble in times past will not fail us now nor in the future. Trust Him on today!
FAITH CAST OUT FEAR!
