Psalm 61: 1-3 Lead Me To The Rock That Is Higher Than I

Psalm 61:1-3  Hear my cry, O God, attend to my prayer.

2 From the end of the earth I will cry to You; when my heart faints, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3 For You have been a refuge for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Is this your cry unto the Lord? This was David's painful cry in his time of turmoil and trouble.

David son Absalom had turned against his own father in rebellion. Absalom had temporarily taken over David's throne.

The good news in the midst of David's pain and suffering is that David knew that God was always a prayer away.

People of God, regardless of what you go through or may be going through right now, regardless of how far you may have strayed away the Lord your God is always a prayer away. He is your FIRM FOUNDATION, your SOLID "ROCK"!

Life has a way of throwing wrenches in our plans and thoughts. It has a way of bringing unexpected circumstances and situations that can cause great pain and damage to the hearts and minds of God's people, but even in the midst of them, we have hope.

David's prayer is that when his heart is overwhelmed that God would lead Him to the "ROCK" that is higher than him. David knew that on the top of the "Rock" is a Fortress, who is the Lord God.

Pray, cry out to God to lead you to the Rock that is your hiding place from the physical enemy and the enemy of your mind. That place of strength and glory in His presence.

Lead me to the Rock, lead me to the Rock. Is this your cry to the Lord too?

My Solid Rock!, my Solid Rock! Say this to yourself over and over again people of God and you will feel the presence of God's Holy Spirit right there with you.

The name of the Lord IS a "Strong Tower". Run to Him! He is the Rock of your salvation, the "Stone that the builders rejected, the Chief Corner Stone.

Yes, Jesus is that Rock! Pray to Him today people of God that He would lead you to the "Rock" that is higher than you.

Jesus is our firm foundation, our Salvation, our "Solid Rock"!

God bless.
