Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived. God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that will he also reap.
Deceived - "planaó" in the greek and means I lead astray, deceive, cause to wander, mislead, to cause to stray. To lead away from the truth.
Mocked - "muktérizó" in the greek and means to turn up the nose or sneer at.
Do not allow yourself to be lead astray in thinking that you can mock God by doing wrong and getting away with it.
Many have been and still are today, being lead astray in their minds into believing that they have escaped punishment for sin. The enemy of their mind have convinced them that they have outwit God.
In this text is a promise that we will reap what we sow. We sow to the flesh, we reap the things of the flesh. We sow to the Spirit and we reap the things of the Spirit. We sow discord and evil, discord and evil we will reap.
Here is what we are told about sowing and reaping in Ecclesiastes 11:1 Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. In other words, we reap what we sow.
One thing about a harvest is that when we plant a seed, the harvest is always bigger than the seed we have sown. The seed multiplies. We get more than we planted. What do you want more of? A harvest from good seeds or bad?
People of God be very careful of the seeds you sow because God's Word promises the same return on what you have sown.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest.
We are indeed free to some degree to make the choices we want, but in making our choices we need to remember that there will be no escaping the consequences, be it good or bad.
Sowing good seeds? Galatians 6:9-And let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not give up.
2 Peter 3:3-Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.
Hebrews 1:2 But in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe.
In the past, God spoke through His prophets, but, today He is speaking through His Son, Christ Jesus.
People of God, you too will be scoffed at or mocked for your faith and commitment to the Lord your God. Yes, we will be laughed at and ask to prove that God exist or that the Bible is the word of God and not man's word.
Yes, we must expect mockery, even when we speak of Christ and His second coming. Many still doubt that there will be a 2nd coming and will say to us "if Christ is coming back, why has He not come yet"? Where is He?"
1 Peter 3:15- Be ready at all times to answer anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have in you,.
People of God what will be your response to mockers and scoffers in these last and evil days? Will it be an eye for an eye? I pray not for you will reap a harvest of what you have sown. Pray for strength to endure and keep it moving with God.
Are you a Mocker or Scoffer?
The day of "HARVEST" is coming. What we sow is what we reap is a very important principle and something we ALL need to think about.
Every seed will produce a "HARVEST" so be very care of what you plant.
What type of seeds are you sowing? When harvest day comes, will you be happy with your return?
Sowing in good ground or bad ground? The day of "HARVEST" will confirm what you have sown.
Sow good seed and you will be glad on the day of harvest when you pluck up that which you have planted.
