Proverbs 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.
Wise= "sophia" in the greek and is defined as wisdom, insight, skill (human or divine), intelligence.
foolish= "aphrón" in the greek and is defined as senseless, foolish, inconsiderate. Willful ignorance in understanding what prompts inevitable effects (consequences).
Godly wisdom is the beginning of understanding.
Be not wise in your own eyes for it will land you in a ditch of unnecessary pain and suffering.
We are reminded of the natural way of man's thinking in Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.
Gil's exposition explains Proverbs 14:12 in this way:There is a way which seemeth right unto a man. As the way of sin and wickedness does, it promising much carnal pleasure and mirth; there is a great deal of company in it, it is a broad road, and is pleasant, and seems right, but it leads to destruction.
Wise or foolish? Which describes you? You do have a choice!
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
The natural mind does not know what is right and good, therefore, we can not put our hope and trust in our own way of thinking.
God reminds us in His word to be not conformed to this world but to be transformed in our minds by the renewing or washing of our minds by the Word of God so that we may prove what is that good and acceptable will of God for our lives.
People of God, today is the day to heed the call of "WISDOM".
People of God, the Lord your God is speaking. The questions to be answered is "are you listening and are you willing to obey His voice or yours?'
Hebrews 3:15- The Scriptures say, “If you hear his voice today, don’t be stubborn like those who rebelled.
God loves us enough to impart His wisdom into us. We can either accept or reject God's wisdom. The choice is our and the consequences to which we choose is ours too.
When God has laid out before us the path of life He wants us to take, there is no more blame game to play when we refuse God's path and choose our own apart from Him.
Life is daily filled with choices and I can only hope and pray as the people of God that you will seek God's wisdom in all your decision making through His Word.
God has given us a choice on today to live as wise or as fools. His will for us is to live as "WISE" but He will not force us to do it.
Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man. But, everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man whose life is headed for a crash landing.
To be wise or foolish? To obey or disobey God?
THE WISDOM OF GOD IS CALLING YOU! Have you answered?
