Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things because of Christ who strengthens me.
This text is encouraging, uplifting and a reminder to all people of God who knows that without God you can do nothing, but with Him all things are possible.
Yes, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! Yes, with the help of God's Holy Spirit that lives on the inside of us, "we can do it" for it is He who leads, guides and direct us into all truth. It is He who give us our daily supply of strengthen to endure the test, it is He inside of us who reminds us that yes, all things are possible with Him.
To fully understand What the Apostle Paul is saying in this text let's look at what he said above in vs#12-I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
Paul's point is that whether in lack or fullness of all things we must learn to be content with what God has allowed knowing that He is in full control, He is all knowing of all things and that He has all sufficiency and is able to supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
People of God the truth is that life is not always going to turn out exactly like we think it should nor the way we plan it all the time because sometimes in life things happens that go contrary to what we want, think we need and what we desire or chase after.
People of God, we must learn that rest for our spirit is not in the abundance of things or what we feel we need or want. We need to learn to be content in and through all things.
When we do not get the desired outcome of that which we seek after we can not allow the disappointments of life to cause to quit on God or give up in faith. That is when a true test of your faith is revealed if we could be honest for a moment.
Believe it or not, but this text is a powerful message. It reminds us that in all circumstances, conditions of life, situations either good, bad, plenty or lack, we must LEARN to be content. We must learn to trust God in spite of having much or having little. God is still in control!
The driving home point in this text is that the Apostle Paul declares that "CONTENTMENT" can be activated in all situations after we have learned to let it have it's way when things don't always go our way.
Whatever life throws at us, whatever our lot, learning to be content in ALL things is the medicine that helps us to not only go through the process but to know while we are going through that in Christ we can do all things because it is He who strengthens us as we travel along this Christian journey doing what He has commanded of us regardless of our circumstance.
I can only hope and pray that as the Apostle Paul learned to be content in ALL things and learned that He can do all things through Christ who strengthens him, we too can adopt this same motto in our daily lives, put it into practice by faith and we too will find success in all that we do for Christ regardless of what we have or how much we have.
In the time of lack or plenty, defeat or victory, let us do as we are commanded in Hebrews 12:2-Look unto Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith.
People of God wherever you may be at in your walk with the Lord on today I pray that this text is an encouragement to you and that you know without a doubt that in what even looks like defeat, you are already victorious through Christ Jesus.
People of God you need to know this one thing and that is you can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you.
