Psalm 33:22 Let Your loving kindness, O Lord, be on us, just as we hope in You.
The Psalmist prayer is that the Lord allows His unfailing love, mercy and kindness to rest upon His people as they patiently wait on Him.
Waiting on the Lord requires faith because without faith it we easily give up and quit.
We are also reminded in scripture that without faith we can not please God.
Faith teaches us to endure and helps us to understand and know that even in our wait and not in our timing God is still working on our behalf in doing what He knows is best and good on behalf of His people.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto thy own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He SHALL direct your path.
God works in the spiritual realm. We can't see what He is doing there. This is where our faith HAVE to kick in like never before. We have to trust God even in the unseen spiritual realm. We have to put our faith, hope and trust in the promises of God's written Word in the process of our wait for Him.
We are reminded in 2 Corinthians 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
God works outside of our visible realm, preparing, arranging and orchestrating His every detailed plan for our lives. Just like a seed that is planted in the ground takes time to produce without us seeing what is happening in the dirt, that is how God works in us and our circumstances of life by faith.
After our wait the fruit of God's spirit is being revealed in us as God daily does His work in and through us while we wait on Him.
Eventually, as time has passed faith will produce the same kind of seed in the believer and we will see the buds of the fruit of the spirit sprouting out through the dirt of our hearts in our actions towards one another. We will know without a doubt that the seed God planted in our hearts has germinated through waiting.
Other evidence of the seed that is germinating in us through God's Holy Spirit is confidence and assurance and not as much fretting or worrying as much as we did prior to our waiting on God because our faith in Him have grown since the last testing period of waiting on God.
As hard as it may seem for us to wait on God we must patiently wait.
The Lord's eyes are on the righteous and He will hear and answer us. James 5:16b-The prayer of a righteous man has great power to prevail.
God knows our heart and He better than us knows what is best for us. All of our days are numbered and our times are in His hands. He formed us in our mother's womb therefore, all powers of the creature is in the powerful hands of our Creator God.
Let us pray that God gets us to a place where we ALL can and WILL trust and depend on Him more as each day goes by because it is He who has begun a good work in us and it is He who will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Lord we need your grace and mercy as we wait upon you. Our Hope is in you alone Lord.
Let your mercy, O Lord, be upon us and let us always have your hope, faith, assurance and peace not according to anything that we have done but according to your mercy and promises in your word that you gave to your people by faith in which you daily work in and through us by your Holy Spirit alone.
Lord, this is your servants prayer in Jesus name.
Thank You Lord for hearing and answering our prayers.
Your Servant Debra
