Galatians 6:7 - Be not deceived. God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that will he also reap.
The Apostle Paul wrote this letter to the christians at the church in Galatia. He reminded them of the principle and benefit of sowing and reaping.
The principles of sowing and reaping is a moral rule or belief that not only influences our actions but one that helps us understand what is right, what is wrong and why things happens the way they do.
The Apostle starts this letter off with a warning that states “do not be deceived”. In other words do not be lead astray either by your own human reasoning or someone else in believing a lie is the truth and the truth is a lie. We cannot fool God, so don’t make a fool of yourself because you will harvest what you plant.
None of us are exempt from the principle of sowing and reaping. What we put in is what we get out, what we plant is what we harvest. You cannot plant corn and expect to get apples.
“GOD IS NOT MOCKED!” To mock God is to disrespect, dishonor, ignore and reject His authority as God. When we choose to reject God’s authority and willfully chose a life of sin, you are mocking God.
Those who mock God will mock the people of God as well. Throughout the bible we can see where God’s people were also mocked. Jeremiah, Nehemiah, Elisha and even Jesus was mocked by the thief on the cross and the roman soldiers at His crucifixion.
The Gospel is “Truth” and yet still today, many rejects it for the trap of belief in satan lies.
Man can deceive himself into thinking what we want to think, he can be as wicked and evil as he or she wants to be but none of that changes God’s rule nor his authority over the entire universe, including humanity because the Word of God changes not and scripture declares on today that “what you PLANT, you WILL reap at HARVEST”.
The rule of God operates 24/7. His Word has been written and it will NOT be rewritten nor will it ever change. The Word of God changes not, it is the same yesterday, today and forever.
If you have a garden at home and you plant white potatoes, you will never have a return of russets, red potatoes or even Idaho's potatoes. Never!
Be very careful of the seeds you sow because the day of harvest WILL come and you will get the type of harvest from the same type of seed you planted.
We are warned and reminded on today to never think that we can sow to the FLESH and somehow escape corruption. It cannot be done. Corruption, misery, ruin, death and, ultimately, hell, will come to the one who sows to the flesh, but he that soweth to the SPIRIT shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."
In ALL we do and say, we are sowing and we WILL reap the harvest we planted from our actions and our words, be it good or evil.
What are you sowing? What are you expecting from it at harvest time?
Are you sowing the fruit of the Spirit which is is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness and temperance? Or, are you sowing discord, division, deception, hate, envy, deceit, lies and confusion?
We ALL need to carefully examine ourselves so at harvest time we will not receive in regret, an unexpected harvest of separation from God in eternity.
People of God, if you are sowing to the spirit and not the flesh, goodness and mercy shall follow you ALL the days of your life. You are not alone for the Lord your God is with you!
