Psalm 94:19 When there is a multitude of worries within me, Your comforts delight my soul.
The Psalmist declares that worries multitudes itself, but the Lord God is his comfort in the midst of them.
Scripture declares that the Lord our God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He changes not, therefore, this is a reminder to the people of God on today also that the same God who offered Himself as hope to the psalmist is willing and able to offer offers us Himself as relief from our worries and fears to us also.
Yes, life throws at us all types of unexpected situations and circumstances on a daily basis that sometimes causes us to go from joy to worry.
When the enemy called “worry and fear” shows up we have to make a conscience decision, purpose in our heart and mind that we WILL stand on the word of God by faith in our determination to not allow worry and or fear to attach itself to us by immediately going into prayer and study of God’s Word right then against it.
Yes, all types of negatives presents themselves to us throughout the day because it is a part of life and of course, what satan does on a daily basis but we have a choice in the matter to either accept or reject the negatives of life for the Lord our God did not leave us to ourselves but instead He gave us a helper called the “Holy Spirit” who willingly, upon our obedience, leads, guides and direct us into all truth and righteousness.
Jesus reminds us on His sermon on the mount to worry not because worry adds nothing to our life, but instead, seek ye first the Lord our God who is our help and our hope.
The Lord our God declares to us on today that HE IS our consolation! He is our joy and our hope.
People of God as you consider or ponder on the many things you have been worrying about today, last night, last week or even this moment, have you thought about releasing them over to the Lord who is not only able to carry and remove them from you but also able and willing to comfort you in the midst of them.
The call today is to no longer hold onto nor pamper our worries but to give them to the Lord our God. 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
People of God when the cares of this worlds seems to be more than you can bare, go into your secret closet and talk to the Lord your God.
We begin to overcome worry when we begin to put our trust and hope in God. It is the Lord our God who alone can free us from the spirit of worry and that is why we MUST daily put forth the effort to surrender our will to His will as we daily seek Him to help us do just that and then we will find ourselves worrying less and trusting Him more.
Matthew 6:25-27 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
Are you worried and fearful on today about something? God offers us hope in Him on today. He wants us to trust Him in spite of what fearful or worrisome situations that may be facing us even right now.
Jesus is our consolation and we MUST take refuge in knowing that by faith and trust in Jesus and God’s Holy Spirit that is within us leading and guiding us we can overcome fear!
It is important to cling to faith instead of fear because when we chose fear over courage we become weak, stagnant and ineffective in our faith because we allow worry and fear to paralyze us which in turns causes us to become in effective int he kingdom of God. Believe it or not but this is the enemy’s goal and we CAN NOT surrender to fear, but to the will of God people of God.
We are reminded of this in 2 Timothy 1:7 - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Which have you chosen on today? I pray is not worry because God has promised us on today that He is our consolation.
God comforts us in our fears in hope of drawing us to him into a deeper relationship with Him by faith through Christ Jesus.
As the Psalmist declares in this text, I to declared that when I am filled with cares of this world I WILL run to the Lord my God for He not only comforts me but He also gives me joy which in turn causes me to be cheerful and not fearful.
In the midst of suffering and pain the Lord God is our consolation. Yes, He is our comforter and He promise to never leave us nor forsake us but to be with us always, even unto the end.
People of God when worry shows up, remember you have a choice and you have a Comforter.
Thank You Lord for being lifter of the heads, hearts and minds of your people.
JESUS IS OUR CONSOLATION! His comfort causes joy bell to ring in our soul.
Indeed, hope has a name and His name is JESUS!
