Psalm 100:1-5 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations.
This text is an invitation to the universe to give praise and thanksgiving to the Lord our God with a sound that the psalmist described as a”joyful noise” of cheering in worship and praise unto our Lord.
Why should we do praise and worship God? He is the Lord God and it is He who has made us and not we ourselves. We were created to worship and give God praise.
We owe it to God to praise and worship Him for who He is and for all He has done for us.
When answer the invitation of praise and thanksgiving to the Lord our God the cares of the world are removed our focus on God we are in turn comforted through our worship to Him.
People of God as you enter the Lord’s house on today do it with thanksgiving, praise and gratitude because if you are still yet alive, God has been and is still good to you. Yes, His mercy towards you endures forever.
An invitation to joyful praise and worship to the Lord our God!
People of God are you will to offer up to the Lord today your sacrifice of praise and worship? The invitation has been give and now the choice is yours!
When the rubber meets the road at the end of life all that will matter is if we accepted God’s invitation to salvation. No, nothing else will matter in eternity.
I will bless the Lord at all times and His praises shall continually be in my mouth!
