Isaiah 55:6 Seek the Lord while He may be found, call you upon Him while He is near.
The prophet Isaiah sends forth a message of urgency that says “seek God now for this is the time God can be found”.
This right now invitation tells me that there may be a time when we will look for God and may not find Him for the scripture says “while He may be found”.
God Himself declares these words in Jeremiah 29:13 If you seek me wholeheartedly, you will find me. The truth of the matter is we can only find God when our hearts are inclined to seek Him.
When we choose not to seek the Lord while He is near, we miss the opportunities of being blessed with the promises and blessings of God that are available to us at that moment.
Today, all of humanity is being invited to seek the Lord while He may be found and to cry out to Him in prayer for the Lord promises to hear and answer our prayers of faith and repentance.
Perhaps, you are visiting here on today and you do not have a personal relationship with God through Christ Jesus and you desire to do so; my prayer for you is that you would cry out to God for salvation with a pure heart of confession and repentance and God will deliver you.
The Lord God must become primary in our lives and we must pursue Him with passion and urgency NOW!
Believe it or not, but life is short and short lived. Any number of years that is less than eternity is short.
The brevity of life is described this way in James 4:14 What do you know about tomorrow? How can you be so sure about your life? It is nothing more than mist that appears for only a little while before it disappears.
Today is the day of salvation! Yes, this is the day to seek a personal relationship with God through Christ Jesus for tomorrow may be too late for we know not what tomorrow holds nor if we will be alive to see it. I plea with you on today to miss not the opportunity to respond to God’s call to seek Him while He may be found.
Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
We are reminded of this in Hebrews 5:9 Suffering made Jesus perfect, and now he can save forever all who obey Him.
The time to pursue God like never before is now. The time to rid ourselves of ALL distractions that are hindering our walk with God and are keeping us out of the will of God for our lives is now!
Hebrew 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.
The time of reflection on how short life is and our need for God’ saving grace is greater now than ever before. The older we get, the closer we get to our death date.
Today is the day to run in pursuit of God with the mindset of living the rest of our days here on earth in continual and faithfully pursuit of God.
In your pursuit of of forgiveness from God on today, you must know without a doubt that you have absolute assurance of forgiveness from God. 1 Peter 3:18 For indeed Christ died for sins once for all.
John 3:16 or God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
When we continue in our pursuit of God through prayer and His Word we will find Him .
To run in pursuit of God means that we have to forget those thing that are behind us and reach towards those things that are before in Christ Jesus.
To really “seek” God means more than just going to church once in a while, flipping through the pages of our bibles once in a while and seeking God only when the devil is on our track. No! Seeking God means being consistent in our daily pursuit of knowing Him and building a personal relationship with Him through Christ Jesus.
Pursuing God requires lots of time with Him away from all the noise of the world and all the voices that are screaming out for your attention.
When we seek to pursue God with our whole heart we will find amazing love beyond anything we could have ever imagined for ourselves.
Love, mercy, grace, faith, hope and everlasting life awaits you at the end of your pursuit for God when you seek Him with your whole heart and find Him.
