Psalm 103:8 The Lord is merciful and gracious; slow to anger, and abounding in mercy .
We all were guilty and condemn before God, but, yet He was and still continues to be gracious and merciful to us.
God could have gotten angry and wipe us all off of the face of the earth, but instead, He graciously offered us mercy when He could have granted us the wrath we deserved.
Out of love for His creation, God in his infinite and abundant mercy showed us grace that is beyond human comprehension.
This text is a constant reminder of what God not only did in delivering Israel form Egyptian bondage, but also what He did for us too in sending His Son, Jesus to die on the cross as the ultimate sacrifice and full payment for our sins.
Think about our God or a moment! A God who is abounding in love, mercy, goodness and kindness that He has made available to the world by faith. Oh, if you could only believe that with God all things are possible in Him through Christ Jesus.
Because the Lord is merciful and His wrath is not easily provoked, His grace is sufficient for us.
The Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness is constant and our being alive today is proof of that.
We are reminded of this in Lamentations 3:22-23 The Lord’s kindness never fails! If he had not been merciful, we would have been destroyed. The Lord can always be trusted to show mercy every morning.
There is not a benefit package greater than the one God has offered and continues to offer today to all who would come and receive through Christ Jesus by faith. NO, No one is like our God!
Lord we thank you for your mercy and your unconditional love and kindness that you pour out upon us each and every day.
Lord, you alone are merciful, gracious, faithful, loving and compassionate.
Thank you Lord for your unending and gracious mercy towards me.
Your Servant Debra
