Genesis 18:14a Is anything too hard for the Lord?
Sometimes life deals us hands that attempts to makes some situations in our lives look impossible, even though we know that with God all things are possible.
Is anything too hard for the Lord? This question was posed to Moses by God.
One day as Moses sat near the tree of mamre at the entrance of his tent in the heat of the day, he looked up and saw three men standing nearby. Moses hurried to where they were and bowed down to the ground before them in respect.
Now the bible does not specifically tell us how Moses somehow knew one of these persons to be God.
In which way Moses knew, I do not know, but one thing of a surety is that in the text Moses addressed one of the men as “LORD”. and said in vs#3-“If I have found favor in your eyes, my Lord, do not pass your servant by.
In response to Moses request, the Lord asked Moses a question and then made him a promise. vs#9-10 - “Where is your wife Sarah?” they asked him. “There, in the tent,” he said. 10 Then one of them said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son.
Abraham who was old and Sarah who was also old and beyond child bearing age is given a promise of what is impossible with man but possible with God, even in old age.
What impossibility are you dealing with today? What is your red sea that seems impassable?
What are you gonna do about what looks impossible to you today? Doubt or believe God for the impossible?
Hebrews 11:6 For without faith it is impossible to please God for whoever comes to God must first believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek after Him.
Are you willing to believe God to perform the miracle that you not only think is impossible, but the one that you stand in desperate need of on today?
Sarah did laugh when she heard that she would have a baby a year later. God made the promise to Abraham who believed God! WHERE IS YOUR FAITH ON TODAY?
When the enemy attempts to get my focus off of God and on him, I remind myself of who my God is and that with Him who is the God of the impossible, all things are possible.
I often remind myself that the Lord God is always passing by for He lives in me and He is never away or apart from me.
In the time of or in the opportunity to be tempted to believe the lies of satan I remind myself of who God is and I tell myself, Debra "THIS IS YOUR DAY OF VISITATION" for the Lord your God is in you and with you.
As with Moses that day who had an unexpected visit by the Lord His God, I remind myself too of God's unfailing presence and His love for me in the past, therefore, I believe that He is the same God then and now and that He is able to do it again for scripture describes Him as God who is the same yesterday, today and forever.
