Philippians 3:16 But we must keep going in the direction that we are now headed.
Mistakes! They are unavoidable and is a part of ALL of our lives, but, that does not mean we have to remain in the place where we made them, nor should we be held captive there.
We all have areas in which we need to grow and is proven by the mistakes we make in those areas.
What are we learning from our mistakes? To do better the next time or choose to mentally remain at the place of our mistakes by justifying them in saying “oh well, we all make mistakes”?
What I do when I make a mistake and sin against God is I do not blame others, but take responsibility for it myself, I confess it before God, repent and pray for the Holy Spirit’s help to do better the next time and I keep it moving with God.
We must learn from our mistakes by admitting our wrong by confessing them to God, hold on the progress we have made and keep moving forward in life with the Holy Spirit leading the way.
I believe that a lot of people remain at the place of their spiritual fall is because of one word called “condemnation.” This is why we must study and know what the Word of God says concerning us.
If we are saved by grace through faith, we are no longer condemn. Romans 8:1- Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
Forgiveness does not mean we won’t have to deal with the consequences of our sins. We will have to face those, but, it does not mean that God does not love us for scripture declares in Hebrews 12:6 For the LORD disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.”
We all need the rod of correction and God knows which one fits each of us, based on what He wants to do through and in us based on where He wants to take us in life. Now, it is up to us to cooperate with His Spirit in conforming us to the likeness of His son.
God allows us to see our mistakes so we can learn from them, not repeat them and keep heading in the direction of life where He is taking us with eternity in view.
When we have fallen to sins that are against God’s will for us, get up, look up, confess and repent of them, shake off the dust and keep it moving with God.
The problem why so many people remain at the place of their fall, I believe, is because of one word called “CONDEMNATION.”.
What we must do when we fall is immediately repent, go the word of God and find out what God says about it, pray and keep it moving.
When Jesus died on the cross and paid the penalty for our sins, He did so once and for all of our past, present, and future transgressions in declaring “It is finished.” The price has already been paid and all we need to do is accept by faith, His ransom of “shed blood” on our behalf.
Perhaps you have said or done some wrong, painful and hurtful things, but even with that God, through His holy spirit is willing to forgive you and help you move on and turn things around in the direction that are pleasing in His sight. Are you convinced that God is able to help you? Take ownership of your sin against God, confess, repent, accept your forgiveness by faith through Christ Jesus and keep moving forward with God.
OUR PAST IS OUR PAST AND WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE THERE! Yes, we learn from past sins, but we NEVER find a need or reason to remain captive by them.
Can yo move beyond past mistakes? Yes you can! The spirit of God lives within you and with God ALL things are possible to them that believe!
Let today be the day that you tell yourself “I WILL NO LONGER” be a prisoner to my past for I have been forgiven through Christ Jesus!
FORGETTING THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE BEHIND ME AND NOW REACHING TO THOSE THINGS THAT ARE BEFORE ME IS THE ROAD IN WHICH I AM DETERMINED TO CONTINUE TRAVELING ON IN LIFE BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN!
HOLD ON TO THE HOPE THAT IS WITH YOU!
