1 Timothy 4:8 For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable in all things, holding promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
In this text, physical exercise is in no way being condemned because we are reminded in scripture that it is the Lords will that we prosper with good health also as our soul prospers.
Taking care of our bodies is a necessity for good health. Eating the right foods and exercise does help maintain good health.
The call in this text is “PRIORITY”!
Labor not for that which is temporary. In other words do not put all our energy and effort in getting physically fit and neglect the importance and necessity of exercise for our soul through prayer, bible study, worship, evangelism, praise and honor to God the Father.
Both physical and spiritual exercise are important to maintaining good health for the body and soul, but we can not put more effort in our physical health and wellness and lack the greatest necessity of exercise of the soul for spiritual health and wellness.
The difference in the body and soul is the fact that the body is short lived and the soul lives forever.
We are reminded in this text that bodily exercise does benefit us to some degree, but it does not stop death of the body, regardless of how many years we live.
We labor not all of our time and effort in physical exercise and neglect spiritual exercise which is more beneficial in the end.
Godliness is profitable in all things where bodily exercise profits little.
The physical body goes back to the dust of the earth from whence it came but the spiritual man lives on forever.
What are you daily laboring for? Is it the here and now or is it for the crown of everlasting life with the Father?
1 John 2:17-The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
Our “SOUL” is our GREATEST POSSESSION! The only price that can be placed on it is the “BLOOD OF JESUS”!
What will you give in exchange for your soul?
What temporary thing have you placed above the prospering of your soul?
What profits a man to gain the whole world and loose his or her soul?
In all your getting get understanding.

Romans 12:2Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
These are words to those who want to be wise in the eyes of God. Those who are tired of the same cycle rolling over and over again in their mind and their lives.
Transform - metamorphoó in the greek, which means to be changed into another form. An example would be a caterpillar changing into a butterfly. Change that takes place from the inside out.
Which are you seeking from God in 2019? Change or comfort? God commands that you seek change which is a transformed mind through the Word of God.
Unfortunately, in our world today many are not seeking to be changed from the inside out, but instead, they are seeking temporary comfort from life’s hurtful and painful circumstances inwardly. They are tired of suffering and want temporary relief until the next trouble arises and then the cycle begins again.
Believe it or not, but, true transformation and healing is found alone in the Word of God as we allow it to change our mind from the way we think to the way God thinks, which in turns transforms the way we behave and live out our lives.
We are reminded in this text to think not as the world thinks but as God thinks. God’s thoughts and standards for life and living for the believer is found in His Holy Bible.
The good news about a changed or transformed mind is that even though you may still suffer, when you view your life’s situations through the lense of God’s Word, the pain is comforted and the mind is being renewed through the process.
When we are changed from the inside out, like the butterfly, our mind is transformed from that of a lowly self dependent one to one of high thoughts and expectations with impossible limitations with God through His Word and a personal relationship with Christ Jesus.
Apart from God you will remain crawling around on the ground seeking comfort, but with God you can, like the butterfly, fly to heights unimaginable spiritually and in all other areas of your life with the help of the Holy Spirit!
Be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind because with God all things are possible!
Seeking change or comfort? Which describes you? I can only hope and pray that it is a “transformed mind”.

Matthew 5:16-Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Divine intervention! Orchestrated by God alone!
I believe that NOTHING just happens. It may appear that way to us in our finite minds, but God being the Sovereign God of the universe sees and knows ALL things.
People of God, I want to share with you as a way of encouragement, another one of my Christmas experiences that I had during the weeks coming up to Christmas which is the time of year we celebrate the birth of Christ.
We are reminded in scripture to let our light so shine before men that they may see our good works and that God may receive the glory out of our lives.
I believe that God orchestrates all the affairs of life. He allows some and He makes some happen.
I believe this encounter was something that God divinely orchestrated.
As I was out and about during the holidays I met a woman whom I did not know and she did not know me but we both ended up at the same place at the same time. We began by introducing ourselves as we waited and asked one another how we were doing.
Out of all the other people this woman could have shared with, somehow she chose to share her story and testimony with me.
It was not five minutes after talking with her that she said to me “I want to share something with you” and I said ok and she said “this is my first Christmas as a Christian and I am so happy to be spending it with Jesus.” My heart rejoiced when I heard this and the tears began to roll from both of our eyes.
Of course, you know me, we hugged, she and I cried too as we both gave thanks to God for what had taken place in her life and for Him allowing 2 strangers from 2 different walks of life to cross paths and share His goodness and His glory.
What was amazing about this encounter was the fact that I never mentioned to her that I was a christian, I did not say anything to her about Jesus, I was just myself and she felt comfortable enough to share with me who was a stranger to her.
People of God are you available for God to use you? God is able and willing if you are available.
People of God, let your light so shine that men may see your good work so that the Lord our God would receive the glory out of our lives.
Lord, I am available to you! I will do what you say, use me Lord to show someone the way and enable me to say, “i am available to you”.
Thank You Lord for indeed this was not only divine intervention but also, a divine appointment sent from heaven to earth.
Thank You Lord for living in me through your Holy Spirit.
Divine Intervention! Nobody but God!
Thank You Lord!
