The theme for this page is "Quotes" of Divine Wisdom as seen through the eyes of the Saints of Old.
The theme text is: Job 12:12 - Is not "Wisdom" found among the aged? Does not long life bring understanding?
Debra's Corner will consist of "Quotes" or "sayings" that I heard throughout my life from those "Saints of Old" who have impacted my life from a child to now. Many of them have gone on to be with the Lord and some are still yet here, still imparting divine wisdom into those who are willing to receive it.
What I realized about those "quotes" that I heard from them while I was growing up was the fact that many of them were biblical. I am not sure if they realized it or if I am just realizing it now that I am the age that they were when they began to impart their divine wisdom into my life. Whichever way it may go, their words are still ringing out loud in my head and are still making an impact in my life today.
In looking back now over my life and reflecting on the time that I spent in their presence, truly I can say that they had a personal relationship with God that was rooted deep down in their souls by faith. They were not able to quote scriptures or speak proper language like many today, neither did they have the education that we have access to today, but they knew the Word of God and was able to speak it in their own words and their own way with a greater impact and results than many bible scholars do today.
I believe in my heart that the "quotes" they often spoke in the way they knew how to were scripturally based upon their knowledge of Romans 10:17-Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
