Psalm 27:8 - When You said, “Seek My face, “My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”

Tonight, our attention is drawn to God’s call to us into His presence.

To seek in the Hebrew language means baqash (bah-kahsh). This isn't a casual glance or a passive hoping; it means to search earnestly, to strive after, and to pursue with intensity until the object of the search is located.

The Lord our God is inviting us into His presence tonight. But our hearts must respond with a willing pursuit to enter into a personal relationship with Him above all else.

People of God, guess what? God initiates the invitation to a personal relationship with us. Before we ever thought about looking for Him, He said, “Seek My face.” This means that the Creator of the universe desires a deepl personal relationship with you and me.

God is not looking for a distant acquaintance; He wants a continual fellowship of love and unity from each of us. He doesn't just want you and I to seek His hands for what He can give us; He wants us to seek His face for who He is. When we make that shift from His hands to His face, our lives are transformed by His Holy presence.

Do not walk away tonight the same way you were before coming to this site. Go is calling us to make a fresh commitment right now to chase after His presence all the days of our life. Do you hear God calling you? Well, He is!

Let us pray

Eternal and All-Wise God, our Heavenly Father. We come tonight before You Lord with hearts full of gratitude. Thank You for inviting us into your presence. Forgive us Lord for the times we have sought Your hands for blessings instead of seeking Your face for intimacy.

Tonight Lord, we pray that You ignite an unquenchable fire in our spirits to pursue You earnestly, to know You deeply, and to dwell in Your love continually.

Father, we ask that you let Your sweet presence rest heavily upon each of us as we depart from this place, but never from presence. In Jesus' mighty name we pray, Amen.
