John 14:27-PEACE

John 14:27-7 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Jesus declares in this text that "His peace He has given unto us."

The peace of God given unto us is an inheritance from God to the people of God. Yes, Jesus has left us here on earth with a GREAT inheritance called "PEACE".

The "PEACE" that Jesus gives transcends all understanding. It gives us peace in the midst of trouble, chaos, adversity, distress, worry, fear, etc.

God's peace, not the world peace which is temporary. God's peace is continually working in our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

What Jesus is saying to us is that there is no need to sit up day and night worrying, stressing and being anxious or weary about the cares of this world for He has already overcome the world for us.

The world in which we live in will continue to have unrest and not peace, but as people of God, we can find "peace" through Christ in the midst of it all because His peace rules and reigns in the hearts and minds of His people.

Jesus is the One who gives peace. Jesus said, "My peace I give to you." Notice He says "My peace." These words spoken by Jesus to us is personal.

Lord, I thank you for peace in a world that is full of chaos and unrest. My peace I find in you and I thank you Lord.

Hebrews 11:6 One Way To Please God

Hebrews 11:6- And without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Trying to figure out how to please God? Figure no more for scripture declares that a life of faith ALONE  pleases God. Without faith, we can not please God. Bottom line!

Sometimes God's timing can tempt us to want to doubt, but faith is not doubt, but believing that the end results of God's promises have already been accomplished based on the Word of God, even though we have yet to see it.

The reality of God in heaven and our eternity with Him is of a surety. It is by faith that we believe this, regardless of what we see, hear or believe that is contrary to God's Word.

Don't let times of doubt discourage you. Keep trusting and obeying the Lord Jesus and His Word. As we do, our confidence in Him and His Word will grow.

The call to everyone on today is to trust God by "FAITH." Take Him at His Word for He is faithful and just. He will do just what He says He will do.

Where is your faith on today? In whom or what have you placed your trust? In whom do you believe?

Faith starts with Christ and God's atoning work at Calvary on the cross is where it all begins for a believer.

Remember, there is only one way to please God and that is by faith in Christ alone. It is in and through Him that we are saved and have eternal life with God the Father.

No faith? No hope! No faith? No salvation!

WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD!

God bless.

Psalm 46:1-11 Our God Is A Very Present Help In Trouble

Psalm 46:1-11 God is our refuge and strength, a well-proven help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 though its waters roar and foam,  though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy dwelling place of the Most High. 5 God is in the midst of her; she will not be moved; God will help her in the early dawn.
6 The nations roared; the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice; the earth melted.

7 The Lord of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

8 Come, see the works of the Lord, who makes desolations in the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts off the spear; He burns the chariot in the fire.

10 Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

11 The Lord of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

In trouble and need help? Seek the Lord for His Word declares that He is a very present help in the time of trouble.

Why suffer and allow the enemy to torment you in your mind when God promises to be your help.

In the Word of God is the power to rebuke every lie and every negative thought that the enemy may attempt to bring to our minds concerning the things we suffer in life.

People of God, you have the power! It is found in the Word of God. Use it! Speak it out of your mouth!!!

The weapon of warfare for the believer is prayer and the Word of God. STOP COMPLAIN AND USE YOUR WEAPON!  USE IT!!!

God bless.

Proverbs 3:5-6 TRUST GOD

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,  and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways acknowledge Him,  and He will direct your paths.

If your trust is anywhere else and not in God, you are guaranteed disappointment and let down.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding, but in ALL your ways acknowledge God and He will direct your path.

Man's mood and attitude changes like the wind. Scripture declares that the Lord our God is faithful and He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Put not your trust in man for man will deceive you.

As the saints of old use to say "my hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweet frame. but wholly lean on Jesus name.

On Christ the Solid Rock I stand. ALL other grounds is sinking sand.

Where is your hope? I can only hope and pray that is in the Lord God for only what you do for Him will last.

God bless.

Proverbs 24:3-4 How To Build A House Of Wisdom

Proverbs 24:3-4 Through wisdom is a house built, and by understanding it is established; 4 and by knowledge the rooms will be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

I am sure we all can use wisdom for the bible declares "get wisdom and in all your getting, get understanding." Wisdom is indeed the principal thing!

I believe we have come to the place and time in life where we must realize that if the families, marriages, parent/children relationships, etc will succeed in the way in which God would have our relationships to be is that we MUST operate in the wisdom of God.

We can no longer depend on human wisdom. Human wisdom has too many flaws. We have to go to the only source of pure wisdom and that is God.

Godly wisdom is possible and is given to all who ask God for it.

James 1:5- If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

The key to divine wisdom is "asking by faith and not doubting" that God can and will do just what He says.

Faith is believing without seeing. Hebrews 11:1-Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we cannot see.

Godly wisdom or worldly wisdom? Which do you prefer?

Raising our children in the wisdom of the world or the wisdom of God? Scripture says "through wisdom" is a house built and by understanding it is establish.

As you go about daily building your family relationship, remember this: Through wisdom is a house built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms will be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

God bless.

James 1:23-24 Hearing And Doing Goes Hand In Hand

James 1:23-24  For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man viewing his natural face in a mirror. 24 He views himself, and goes his way, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

The Apostle James says if you just hear and not obey, you are liken unto a person who views him or herself in a mirror and walks away forgetting what kind of person you are.

What's the purpose of a mirror? The purpose of a mirror is used  to examine ourselves.

When we look at ourselves in the mirror of God's Word we not only see who we are with all our spots and flaws, but we also we see our desperate need for Christ and His transforming power in our lives.

What benefit do we receive in hearing the Word of God and never putting it into practice by obeying it?

God, through the leading of His Holy Spirit, wants to lead, guide and direct us into all truth and righteousness

There is no salvation apart form the Word of God. Faith apart from God is not faith in God.

Jesus said in John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

Once we have received the knowledge of truth from God's Word, we are without excuse. Jesus Himself declares these words in John 15:22-If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin.

God speaks and we MUST obey if our goal is to spend eternity with Him.

Where do you stand today concerning hearing and obeying the Word of God? Remember, hearing and doing goes hand in hand. God and His Word is one. We can not have one without the other.

Hearing and doing is the command today.

God bless.

2 Kings 5:1 Not My Choice

2 Kings 5:1 - Now Naaman, captain of the army of the king of Aram, was a great man before his master and held favor because by him the Lord had given deliverance to Aram. He was also a mighty warrior, but he had leprosy.

Naaman, a man who is described in this text as the captain in the army of the King of Arma. This means he was second in command to the king. A man of great authority and position.  A man who was great in battles, highly respected and of great courage.

Leprosy, a condition in which Naaman found himself with. He was able to give orders to do this or that or not this or not that, but he was unable to heal himself of this horrible disease.

One day while the Syrian troops were raiding Israel, they captured a girl, and she became a servant of Naaman’s wife. As time passed, the girl said to Naaman wife, “If your husband Naaman would go to the prophet in Samaria, he would be cured of his leprosy.”

When Naaman finally decided to go to see the prophet in Samaria he got an unexpected surprise. Instead of the Prophet personally coming to meet him and heal him, he sent this message to Naaman with these profound words “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh will be restored to you and you will be clean.”

Naaman being who he was did not expect this type of response from the Prophet nor this way of being cured of his condition.

The blessing in receiving what is desperately needed from God is to obey. Not my choice, but by God's command is the way to what is needed by us from the Lord.

Naaman had the choice to obey what he was told by God's Prophet and live or remain in his diseased condition and die from it.

The choice that is before all of us on today is to live or to die. God's way or our way.

Not my choice! Is this your response to Jesus?

God bless.

Hebrews 10:25 It Is Time For The People Of God To Come Together Again

Hebrews 10:25 Let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but let us exhort one another, especially as you see the Day approaching.

Hebrews 10:25 CEV-Some people have gotten out of the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other, especially since you know that the day of the Lord’s coming is getting closer.

It's time to come together again people of God.

It is the Lords' day in which we gather together to worship, praise and serve our God.

Getting out to the Lord house is not an option for believers, it is a command. We must come together for iron sharpens iron.

The other believers and your Pastor is looking to see you all on today. But, most of all, the Lord is looking to see you in His house on today.

Have a wonderful Sunday and enjoy the ride with Jesus and the people of God on today.

As the scripture commands, "do not forsake the assembling of ourselves together on today."

Come let us worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness on today. Give Him the honor, give Him the praise.

God bless.

Psalm 27:14- Is God Taking Too Long To Answer You

Psalm 27:14-Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Waiting on God?

Is this where you find yourself on today? Have you been praying and desiring of God to work out something on your behalf and it seems like you have been praying and waiting and still waiting on God?

Well, I guess to some degree we all can say that we have been there before or are either there right now in one way or another.

As much as we hate to "wait" on God, He commands in His Word that we do just that, "WAIT."

Waiting is indeed hard, but it is also necessary. Not for God to get ready what He is going to do on our behalf, but waiting helps us prepare for what God has for us.

WAIT, WAIT WAIT! It's the uncomfortable part of life that we all hate, but is of necessity in life.

Throughout scripture we see how God's people had to wait. Sarah and Abraham waited for Isaac, Hannah waited for Samuel, Jonah waited 3 days in the belly of a fish, Daniel waited in the lion's den, 3 Hebrew boys waited in a fiery furnace, David waited 17 years to become King over God's people, Jesus waited 42 generations before coming in the flesh to die for the sins of humanity to reconcile us back to God.

Are you waiting on God? Are you tired of waiting and want Him to answer now? If we could be truthful, I believe the answer would be "YES" for all of us.

WAIT! it is God's requirement.

Faith in God is a lifetime process in which we begin to wear our "faith eyeglasses and hats" unto death, for without them, we will get lost, confused and loose our way, even in the wait.

Remember, "WAIT" is the road from the promise to the praise! GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY.

God bless.

1 Corinthians 11:23-24 Communion Sunday

1 Corinthians 11:23-24 I have received of the Lord that which I delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus, on the night in which He was betrayed, took bread. 24 When He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take and eat. This is My body which is broken for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.

Today is Communion Sunday!

This is the day that the people of God come together to break bread and drink of the cup in remembrance of what our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ did for us over 2k years ago in dying for our sins.

I pray you are up and getting ready to go to the Lord's house today to fellowship in communion with the saints and to offer up your sacrifice of praise and worship unto the Lord our God.

Have a fun filled Sunday at church today with the people of God.

Jesus Himself declares in Matthew 18:20-For where two or three are assembled in My name, there I am in their midst.”

Do not miss the opportunity to witness the Lord's visitation on today at His house.

Happy Sunday! It's the Lord's Day!

God bless.
