Luke 1:31 The Name of "JESUS" Is A "BEAUTIFUL" Name

Luke 1:31-Listen, you will conceive in your womb and bear a Son and shall call His name JESUS.

When Mary was visited by the Angel Gabriel He spoke these powerful, divine words to her and she responded with these words in vs#-38 “I am the servant of the Lord. May it be unto me according to your word.”

In a dream, an Angel of the Lord spoke to Joseph who was Mary's betrothed husband in Matthew 1:21- She will give  birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name "JESUS" because He will save His people from their sins."

Jesus! What a beautiful name it is!

Jesus=Iēsoús in the greek – Jesus, the transliteration of the Hebrew term,("Yehoshua"/Jehoshua, contracted to "Joshua") which means "Yahweh saves" (or "Yahweh is salvation")

Jesus! Immanuel, which means God is with us, therefore, nothing can separate us from His love for us. NOTHING! I do not care what it is that we may have to suffer or go thru, GOD IS WITH US!

JESUS! Continue to call out His name people of God and I guarantee something will happen in your spirit.

JESUS! There is miracle working power in that name. There is healing in the name of "JESUS".

Do you need healing and or deliverance on today? Be it spiritual, physical, mental, emotional or financial? CALL ON THE NAME OF "JESUS".

At the name of "JESUS" Power is released in your life and you are set free when you call His name.

JESUS! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL NAME!

God bless.

Psalm 86:7 -Trouble

Psalm 86:7- In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

This text is a part of David's prayer to the Lord his God.

David declares with conviction in prayer that when he is in trouble, he calls upon the Lord his God and He answers Him.

Are you in trouble? What should you do? As with David, we too must call upon the Lord when the issues of our lives are contrary to the Word of God and what it says concerning us.

In this troubled world in which we live in, our great need for our Great God and His direction in our life should drive us to pray to our Great God, who is Mighty in power, love, grace, and mercy. Yes, He alone can deliver us from any situation that we may find ourselves in today if we call on Him.

The point that I want to make today is that in our times of trouble or distress, NEVER stop calling upon the name of the Lord, keep praying, keep trusting and keep believing, regardless of how long it may take to get your breakthrough for our God is indeed FAITHFUL and He will hear and answer our prayers.

ARE YOU IN TROUBLE? Call upon the Lord our Great God and He will hear and answer our prayer.

God bless.

James 1:19-20 Responding To The Issue Of Life

James 1:19-20 Therefore, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, 20 for the anger of man does not work the righteousness of God.

Responding to the issues of life! How do we do that? Do we say the first thing that comes to mind?

What can we do when God does not take away our problems in our timing? What can we do when someone else problems affects us?

The writer of this text, James who is the half brother of Jesus helps us by giving us some wise advise on how to respond to the issue of life.

James tell us to be (1) swift to hear, (2) slow to speak (3) slow to anger.

We ALL must learn how to "talk less" and "listen more. We all are guilty of speaking words at times that hurt and not build up.

Proverbs 29:20 Do you see someone who speaks in haste? There is more hope for a fool than for them.

Today we are called to be wise in our thinking and in our reactions to the issues of life. To do this we must operate in the wisdom of God which is found in the Word of God.

Believe it or not, but we can not fight fire with fire.

How are we responding to the issue of life? Do we need to change the way we are currently responding to the issues of life? If we could be honest for a moment, we all should answer with a resounding "YES" to this question.

Change is possible for all of us. Stay connected to God and we will see positive results of change in our lives.

Responding to the issues of life! How are we responding?

God bless.

Psalm 122:1-9 Glad To Be In His Service One More Time

Psalm 122:1- 0 - I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord.” 2 Our feet shall stand within your gates, O Jerusalem.

3 Jerusalem is built as a city that is designed for a multitude, 4 where the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, as a decree of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.

5 There are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:“May they prosper who love you!7 Peace be within your walls and security within your towers!”

8 For my brothers and companions’ sake, I will now say, “Peace be within you.”9 Because of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your good.

Glad to be in His Service one more time!

Thank You Lord!

God bless.

Psalm 86:11 We Need You Lord

Psalm 86:11 Teach me Your way, O Lord,  that I will walk in Your truth; bind my heart to fear Your name.

This text is a part of David's prayer to the Lord for comfort and mercy in his time of distress.

Are you in need of God's help? Scripture declares that the Lord loves and gives grace to the humble. As my mother, Mella Mae and my grandmother Cora would say "the humble child taste the grace."

When we are humbly being taught by God, the things of God and honoring His name will become an automatic for us.

Teach me thy way, O Lord. When we are truly taught by God, we will do our best to pursue and "walk in His way." The way in which He has shown us through His Word and not our own way.

I will walk in thy truth! In other words, Lord, I will live and act in accordance with what You have declared to be true in your Word and in doing so, I am pursuing your will and not mine.

Teach me your way O Lord for I am in need of your help! A divided heart starts with us but a unified heart starts and ends with you O Lord.

SHOW ME YOUR WAY O LORD! O Lord, give us an undivided heart.

Thank you Lord for hearing and answering our prayers.

Psalm 118:8- DISAPPOINTMENT

Psalm 118:8-It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

DISAPPOINTMENT-"kataischuno" in the greek. In english it means to put to shame, disgrace, put to utter confusion or to dishonor.

Every one of us trusts in something or someone. Either things or another human being.

As human, we have a proven record of our tendency to "disappoint" for it is in our nature to do so. We often fail to keep our promises whether intentional or unintentional. THINGS HAPPEN that causes us for one reason or another to "disappoint" others.

Where is your faith on today? In whose hands have you placed your hope, trust and your future?

Apart from God, "DISAPPOINTMENT" lingers and wears us out with frustration as trust,  hope and faith in God continue to scream out to you to take them in your heart and mind so that you may receives the promises of God that belongs to you personally.

If God is not your answer to this question, I urge you to seek Him on today for direction in your life for now is the acceptable time to seek the Lord while He may be found.

God bless.

Psalm 139:13-16 GOD KNOWS YOU

Psalm 139:13-16 You brought my inner parts into being; You wove me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise you, for You made me with fear and wonder; marvelous are Your works, and You know me completely. 15 My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, and intricately put together in the lowest parts of the earth.. 16 Your eyes saw me unformed, yet in Your book all my days were written, before any of them came into being.

Does God know us?

Have you been persuaded  into believing that God does not know who you are? Have you been told that you are a mistake that should not have happened?

We see proof in this text of God's fore knowledge of us when the Psalmist declared to God that it was God who knitted his inner parts together.

WOW!! Still doubting God' foreknowledge of you?

Does God know you? God knows the number of hair stands on our head. Luke 12:7A-  Indeed, even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

Does God know you? No doubt it!

God's foreknowledge of us in Romans 8:29-For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

I rebuke satan's lying spirit over your mind and any thoughts he may try to bring to you that is contrary to the Word of God concerning you and your life right now in the name of Jesus and I plead the blood of Jesus against his operation of deceit, craftiness and trickery against God's people in Jesus name for he has no power nor authority over us!

SPEAK WHAT GOD SAYS CONCERNING YOU! GOD SAYS HE KNOWS YOU AND HE LOVES YOU. TELL HIM THANK YOU!

Remember, before time began, God loved you and He knew you."

God bless.

1 Thessalonians 5:18- In All Things Tell God Thank You

1 Thessalonians 5:18 In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Life can change so quickly for all of us and when it does, that is an opportunity for us to tell God "thank You" IN the midst of them.

The Apostle Paul knew very well that life could be happy one moment and fearful the next, or up one moment and down the next. Therefore, because he has learned to be content in whatever state he finds himself, he exhorts us to do the same by thanking God "IN" all circumstances.

I can recall in 2012 when I was complaining to God about a problem I had been dealing with and instead of thanking Him that it was not as bad as it could have been, I continually complained to Him daily about it.

In my ranting about my problem to God, I heard this small still voice whisper to me, these words: "Debra, do not look at what it is that you are going through, but instead, look at what it could have been."

In hearing those words, my view of the circumstance at the time changed immediately and I went from complaining and blaming to telling God "Thank You" without hesitation.

Sometimes, life requires a true reality check! God has to give us a quick peek in the midst of our complaining, a view of what could have been.

Gratitude should be the attitude of the heart of the believer, regardless of what life throws at us.

Gratitude to God for all He has done for us will be evident in our prayer to Him in all circumstances.

As we daily learn how to be content in whatsoever state we may find ourselves, we will also find  that thanking God "IN" all things has become something common in our lives also.

"IN" all things, give God thanks for this is His will concerning us in Christ Jesus.

God bless.

Isaiah 41:13-The Lord Your God Will Help You

Isaiah 41:13-For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, “Do not fear; I will help you.”

As God said to His people Israel, He is saying to us on today.

God is declaring to us that He is our God who holds us with His right hand, therefore, we have no reason to fear or worry, regardless of the obstacle, test, trial, circumstances or issues of life.

People of God, speak these words loud and boldly out of your mouth. God is with me, God is my God, my God will strengthen me for the journey, my God will help me for He goes before me to clear my pathway, my God will uphold me with his right hand for all power is in His hands.

Kirk Franklin sings a song that is titled "my  life is in Your hands."

The lyrics goes like this:You don't have to worry and don't you be afraid. Joy comes in the morning. Troubles they don't last always. For there's a friend in Jesus who will wipe your tears away, and if your heart is broken just lift your hands and say "Oh I know that I can make it, I know that I can stand. No matter what may come my way my life is in your hands."

Feeling fearful on today? Fear not for God's Holy Spirit is our ever present help.

People of God, we can trust the Lord our God on today for He promises to keep us, strengthen us and uphold us with His right hand and for that, open wide your mouth and TELL THE LORD THANK YOU.

Because He (God) lives, I can face tomorrow. The Lord God is our God.

God bless

Romans 8:1 Your Past Is Not Who You Are

Romans 8:1-.There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Condemnation- katakrima in the greek. Penalty, punishment following condemnation

The past is the past, therefore, refuse to live there.

The slate has been wiped clean by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, therefore you have no need to worry about the past, no need to keep looking back at it or feel condemned by it. YOU ARE FORGIVEN OF IT!

Do not live looking back at your past. If you have been saved through Christ, you are no longer in bondage to your sin.

Don't judge me by my past because I do not live there anymore!

My past was my temporary residence that was used to build my character, strength and faith in God. I no longer live there, but have taken up residence in Christ Jesus where He declares that "I am no longer condemn" and because of Him, I now live in freedom with Him.

My past is not who I am!

NO LONGER CONDEMN! Our past is just that, "our past."

God bless.
