Matthew 11:28 The Great Exchange From Burdens To Rest

Matthew 11:28 - "Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

Are you weary and tired from carrying the cares of this world on your shoulder? If you answered “YES” to this question, I can assure that you are not alone.

In this life, we all carry heavy, invisible weights. We carry the quiet burden of making ends meet, the lingering guilt of past mistakes, and the bone-deep exhaustion of trying to look like we have it all together. If you are tired of carrying the cares of the world on your shoulders, you are not alone.

Jesus makes a compassionate appeal to all who are weary, inviting us to approach Him exactly as we are. No, we do not have to clean ourselves up first.

The call is for us to come and receive the much-needed rest that is only found in His presence. Jesus alone can provide the true rest and peace that our weary souls stand in desperate need of.

People of God, let us stop trying to carry what we were never meant to bear.

Today, we have the opportunity to trade our heavy burdens for God's perfect peace. Guess what? Our striving ends where our trust in God begins.

"You, Lord, give true peace. You give peace to those who depend on you. You give peace to those who trust you." (Isaiah 26:3, ICB).

Help us to put our trust in you alone, Lord! Give us sight beyond what we see.

Amen.

2 Timothy 1:5 A Godly Impact Of A Mother and Grandmother

2 Timothy 1:5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.

Mothers and grandmothers, you have an incredible opportunity to impact your children’s lives in amazing ways. Often, the world defines success by what a mother does for her children, like sports, the packing of lunches, the driving, the sacrifices etc. But throughout Scripture, we see that the profound influence of a mother lies not in her activity, but in her spirituality.

Proof of this truth is found in the story of Timothy, his grandmother Lois, and his mother Eunice. This text, Apostle Paul highlights these two women, not for their social status, but for their faithfulness. The influence of godly mothers is desperately needed in our world today. A godly mother’s influence is a treasure, and the children in our world need to see and know this.
Paul says Timothy’s faith "dwelt" first in his mother and grandmother. This means that before Timothy believed, he saw faith living in them.

A godly mother’s daily walk leaves no room for confusion or misunderstanding of who Jesus is.

This text reminds us that a mother’s greatest gift is not what she does for her children, but who she is before God in front of them.

Are we making a lasting impact in the lives of those children whom we have access to? Is it a godly impact that will last them throughout life?

Ponder this question: Whose life are we impacting with the Gospel through our example?

God bless!

Romans 12:2 Do Not Be Conformed To This World

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

This text serves as both a command and a warning. As Christians, we are not to be molded by the behavior and customs of this world, but renewed by the word and spirit of God.

True transformation is an internal process that starts in the mind, not just through outward behavioral changes. This transformation of the mind replaces our old way of thinking and habits with a divine perspective, and in return, we are being transformed from the inside out to look more like Jesus.

Living godly means aligning our lives with God's will and principles, according to Scripture.

"Renewing our minds empowers us to walk in God’s perfect will, proving that His way brings peace and purpose rather than frustration. Choosing this path daily means guiding our lives by God’s wisdom in His word, and not of ourselves.

"True peace and purpose come when we renew our minds and follow God’s good, pleasing, and perfect plan. By choosing His guidance daily over our own, we prove to the world that God’s way is best.

People of God, its time to come out from among them!

The Apostle Paul reminds us of this truth:  a little leaven leavens the whole lump. In other words, small influence can spread and corrupt anything in its path, including us.

Prayer: Lord, help me not to conform to the pattern of this world. Transform our hearts and mind daily Lord. Help us Lord to change the way we think, talk and live our life. Show us what is your good, acceptable, and perfect will, In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

God Bless!

Luke 10:38-42 Are You Mary Or Martha

Luke 10:38-42 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”

41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one.[a] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.

There was a time when your relationship with the Lord was a source of daily delight rather than a chore. You daily set aside time to be with the Lord, you tuned out distractions and you surrendered your cares to Him, but lately your intimate time with the Lord has faded.

Like Mary and Martha, we are often faced with the choice between busy service and restful devotion. While duties will always exist, Mary chose the "better part" by sitting at the feet of Jesus.

Today is the day to reclaim your strength by choosing to prioritize time with Jesus, who is the sustainer of all things, including peace, joy and rest.

Today is the day of decision making for all of humanity. We can daily spend time at the feet of Jesus and find peace and rest or we can daily attune our ears to the cares of this world and miss the peace and rest that Jesus so desires for us to have.

Mary or Martha! Which are you?

Jesus said Mary chose the “better part” by sitting at His feet and learning of Him.

God bless!

John 10:10 There Is A Thief On The Loose

John 10:10 The thief does not come, except to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

There is a thief on the loose and guess what? None of us are exempt from his attacks. The goals is to prepare. Jesus warns that "the thief (satan, evil and sin) comes only to steal and kill and destroy.

In order to fight these unseen forces of evil from the adversary, no physical weapons will work against him and his workers. Therefore, we must use spiritual weapons in spiritual warfare.

Our weaponry for spiritual warfare is found in Ephesians 6:14-17, which says “Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

People of God, I leave you with this one reminder. The armor of God only works if it is actually worn.

My closing point is this: "You can possess every modern advantage, but remember: the battle is won on your knees. Faith and prayer are the bridge between human effort and the 'Commander-in-chief' who leads the faithful to triumph.

God bless.

Isaiah 55: 11 God Is A Promise Keeper

"So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it" (Is. 55:11, NKJV).

Indeed, our God is a promise keeper! If God reveals something to you in the spirit, there will be a natural manifestation of it, without a doubt.

The key is this: God's timing! When is His timing? We don't know, but one thing of a surety is the fact that we have proof in scripture that declares God's word will accomplish what He sent it to do.

Spiritual revelation involves the Holy Spirit making known the "deep things" and hidden mysteries of God that cannot be understood by human reason alone.

My Point: God spoke in the spirit to His people through the prophets and there was a natural manifestation of what He said. It took 70years, but it happened! They left Babylonian captivity!

God's Word is True! If God said it, you can rest assured that it will happen as He said!

Good night!

James 4:8 God Is Calling You Closer To Him

James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

This text is a command and a promise. The command is simple: Return to God in humility and sincere repentance. The promise is guaranteed: He will move toward you if you move towards Him.

Drawing near to God is about spiritual intimacy, not physical location. Does God seem distant to you? When God feels distant, we must remember: God does not move.

If a gap exists in our lives, it is because we have drifted, not God. He isn't hiding; He is only a prayer away. We bridge that distance by faith through repentance, prayer, a submissive heart, and study of His Word.

The Lord our God is ever-present. This means He is everywhere at once! Drawing near to God is about intimacy, not about geographical location.

When we draw nigh unto God, His response to us is one of love, hope, joy, peace, comfort, strength to resist temptation, peace for our weary minds, and comfort for our wounded souls.

Responding to the invitation to draw nigh unto God brings spiritual benefits, including hope, peace, joy unspeakable, comfort, strength to resist temptation, peace, and so many blessings that are too many to number.

For those who may be visiting here today or tonight that are feeling brokenhearted, abandoned, lonely or even weary, I want to remind you of this truth, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He saves those whose spirits are crushed” (Ps. 34:18, NIV).

The same promise that God gave to the Prophet Jeremiah is available to you and I. “Call to me and I will answer you.” (Jer. 33:3, NIV).

Remember, you are never alone! God is a whispered prayer away!

God bless you all and thank you for enjoying the ride with Jesus tonight.

Psalm 107:29 Anchored In The Unexpected Storm

Psalm 107:29-He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves.

Are you caught in an unexpected storm? Jesus is the anchor you desperately need to make it to safety.

Guess what? He is the "ANCHOR" that holds in spite of our stormy seas! Will you trust Him today?

Ponder this a little while, and then step out on faith in Jesus.

This is one of my favorite scriptures of hope, therefore, I shared it in hopes that you would find safety in it also.

Jesus alone has the power to bring "peace and hope" in life's stormy seas. He alone is the anchor that holds in spite of the storms in our lives!

God bless!

Philippians 4:19 Jesus Will Provide For You

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply your every need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Because Jesus lives, we can face tomorrow!

In a world full of chaos and confusion, the Lord our God changes not!

The word of God reminds us on today that there is no need to fret nor worry. Why? Our God will do just what He said, for nothing is too hard for Him!

God is in our midst, even now! Cry out to Him in prayer. He promise to hear and answer you. Yes, even now!

God’s promise to His people is this: seek ye first His Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all that we need of, be it a tangible need, physical healing, spiritual healing, and or mental healing, etc., God is able to supply according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Do you love Jesus? Do you trust Him! Wait on the Lord and be of good courage while you wait.

“This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him (1Jn. 5:14-15), NASB

When you’re going through adversity, God is your anchor. Trust Him today!

Because Jesus lives, we can face tomorrow with assurance of His ever presence with us, and His provision!!

Be encouraged people of God! The Lord your God is in your midst! Yes, He is just a prayer away!

God will do just what He said He will do! Trust Him people of God!

God bless.

Matthew 27:62-66 The Guards at the Tomb on Silent Saturday

On the day of Jesus’ crucifixion Joseph of Arimathea prepared His body and laid it in the tomb on Friday evening, just before the start of the sabbath at 6pm that day.

The next day, Saturday, which was the (Sabbath), the chief priests and Pharisees visited Pilate, the Roman governor with this fearful message: “That deceiver claimed he would rise in three days. Order the tomb secured so his disciples don’t steal the body and claim he rose.” Pilate replied, “Take a guard and make it secure. So, they sealed the stone and posted a guard” (Matt. 27:62-66, NIV).

Pilate tried to secure a body, but ended up arranging witnesses to a miracle. The grave was secured against human efforts, but not divine power. The story didn't end on Saturday."
