Mark 6:1-6 He went away from there and came into His own country. And His disciples followed Him. 2 When the Sabbath came, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, “Where did this Man get this? What is this wisdom that is given Him, that even miracles are done by His hands? 3 Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary and the brother of James and Joseph and Judas and Simon? Are not His sisters here with us?” And they took offense at Him.
4 Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house.” 5 He could not do any miracles there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. 6 And He was amazed because of their unbelief.
Unbelief concerning Jesus is where you find yourself on today? Questioning and doubting after seeing evidence after evidence that has proven itself in your life over and over again that Jesus is the Son of God?
This text that is before us is a prime example of having the evidence put before us and yet choosing to reject the messenger, Jesus, who is the One who came to save us.
"As Jesus passed by with healing in His hands that day, many people that were sick, bound, broken, wounded and mentally ill remained captive by their affliction all because of "unbelief." Jesus Himself said “I could not work much work among them because of their unbelief”! WOW!
Believe it or not, but the "rejection" signs hangs long and wide in America and around the world today. People every wear are screaming to Jesus, “leave me alone”!
Where has unbelief lead you? One thing of a surety about rejection of Christ and His Gospel is found in John 12:48 But all who reject me and my message will be judged on the day of judgment by the truth I have spoken.
There is a cure for "unbelief and rejection" it’s called "JESUS CHRIST"!
Will you receive Him on today?
God bless.
