Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us"

Holy Friday, commonly known as Good Friday, is a solemn Christian holy day commemorating the crucifixion and death of Jesus at Calvary.

Good Friday was a day of deep sorrow and profound remembrance. It recalls for us today, the significance of Jesus' sacrifice, which bridged the gap between humanity and God.

The arrest in the garden of Gethsemane, the trials before Annas/Caiaphas, and the religious leaders' decision to kill Jesus all happened during the night.

The religious leaders brought Jesus before Pilate, the Roman governor, early in the morning.

The journey to the cross intensified during the night with Jesus’s arrest and religious trials, culminating in a tense confrontation in Pilate’s court early the next morning.

Accusations against Jesus from the religious leaders led Pilate to question Jesus with these words: "Are you the King of the Jews?

This act (crucifixion) is proof of God’s love for us even unto death.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Rom 5:8, NIV).
