Proverbs 4:1-27 Wisdom Is A Pearl We Must Desire

Proverbs 4:1-27 Hear, O children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. 2 For I give you good precepts; do not forsake my teaching.
3 For I was my father’s son, tender and the only beloved in the sight of my mother.4 He also taught me and said to me, “Let your heart retain my words; keep my commandments, and live. 5 Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget it, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. 6 Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you;  love her, and she will keep you.

7 Wisdom is principal; therefore get wisdom. And with all your getting, get understanding. 8 Exalt her, and she will promote you; she will bring you honor, when you embrace her. 9 She will place on your head an ornament of grace;
a crown of glory she will deliver to you.”

10 Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, and the years of your life will be many.
11 I have taught you in the way of wisdom;I have led you in right paths. 12 When you walk, your steps will not be hindered, and when you run, you will not stumble.

13 Take firm hold of instruction, do not let her go; keep her, for she is your life.
14 Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not go in the way of evil men.
15 Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and pass on. 16 For they do not sleep unless they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away unless they cause some to fall. 17 For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. 18 But the path of the just is as the shining light,that shines more and more unto the perfect day. 19 The way of the wicked is as darkness; they do not know at what they stumble.

20 My son, attend to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; 22 for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their body. 23 Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.

24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth, and put perverse lips far from you.
25 Let your eyes look right on, and let your eyelids look straight before you. 26 Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established.
27 Do not turn to the right or to the left; remove your foot from evil.

Wisdom is a pearl we MUST desire!

NOVEMBER 11TH IS DEBRA'S 60TH BIRTHDAY

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; and before you were born I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

Psalm 139:13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

The Word of God declares that Lord my God knew be even before I was born. I was a thought in His mind before i was conceived in my mother’s womb.

It is the Lord my God that has formed and shaped me. No, I am not a mistake, I was preordained by the Lord for such a time as this even before the foundation of the world.

The Lord God declares that He foreknew me. Even before mama and daddy met, God knew He would create me and claim me as His own and I do TELL HIM THANK YOU!

I thank the Lord for all that I have gone through in my 60 years because at this age it has has drawn me closer into a personal relationship with Him.

In my season of pain and suffering, I won some battles and I lost some but I never lost my hope , I never lost my faith and I never lost my praise.

I GIVE THANKS, PRAISE, GLORY AND HONOR TO THE LORD MY GOD FOR ALLOWING ME TO SEE YET ANOTHER DAY.

I THANK HIM THAT HE HAS KEPT ME FROM MY MOTHER’S WOMB AND BEYOND TO THIS VERY PRESENT DAY WHERE MY EYES HAVE NOW SEEN 60 YEARS OF LIFE.

LORD, I THANK YOU!

I LOVE YOU LORD AND I WILL FOREVER PRAISE YOUR HOLY NAME!

Psalm 120:1 Have You Called On The Lord Your God In Prayer Today

Psalm 120:1 I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me.

I know you have been concerned, thinking, worried and complaining about your life’s situations and circumstances but have you called upon the Lord in the midst of them?

Today is the day to purpose in your hearts that you will no longer live your life daily fussing, blaming and complaining about all the things that are not right in your life but instead you WILL fall on your knees and thank God for what you already have and watch things turn around for you.

In the midst of going through whatever it is that you are complaining about, have you considered calling on the Lord?

Everything you say to God is confidential and you can be assured on today that if you belong to Him He already knows all about what you are going through and He will work ALL things together in your favor.

Trust God, and put your faith in Him alone! Get on your knees and call upon the name of the Lord, for He promises to hear and answer you, even now!

Have you gotten on your knees in prayer to the Lord your God yet today?

Never, doubt the power of prayer! God promise to hear and answer us!

Proverbs 13:12 Keep Hope Alive

Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.

HOPE=elpis in the greek and is defined as hope, expectation, trust, confidence.

DEFERRED=anaballó in the greek and is defined as I postpone, defer, delay, postpone, hold back or put off.

 This text deals with the fact that waiting is not an option. Therefore, in the midst of your wait, you MUST keep hope alive.

Many hearts are sicken because of impatience or hope in earthly things. They don't want to wait! Hot tempers and attitudes who want it now and when they don't get it now, the heart becomes more sicken and angered all the while blaming God!

If we look throughout scriptures we see where we are often told to "WAIT" and be of good courage. Yes, waiting is hard, I will admit that. I hate waiting, but I do not have a choice so I have decided that I will wait on the Lord and be of good courage while I wait because scripture declares that those who wait on the Lord will  not only be not ashamed but their strength will be renewed also.

We all have dreams, aspirations and expectations for life but when they don't happen in our timing, we seem to loose hope of them ever coming to pass. If our promise is from God, we can hope with expectation and faith in knowing that if God promised it, without a doubt it will happen in our lives at His appointed time.

It is in the wait where our faith in God is growing and being matured. We can't plant a seed tonight and have a harvest tomorrow, NO, time has to have it's place in the process.

The choice we all face today is hope or hopelessness. We decide! Which will it be for you? I have purposed in my heart that in spite of the situation or circumstances i go through in life, I will hope in the Lord my God in whom my hope is built.

My advise to you is to put your hope in things eternal. Jesus is from everlasting to everlasting!

Regardless of what comes our way, our lives are in the hands of the Sovereign God of the universe.

People of God, I want to leave you with this word of truth and hope. 

Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of ALL of our desires and longings. Everything we ever desired or need is found in Him alone, that is why we are exhorted in Matthew 6:33 to seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteous and when we do, all that we need will be supplied by God.

God loved us and sent us Jesus to give us a hope and a future. Jesus came to save those that are lost, the hopeless, wounded and the brokenhearted. He is the Savior. He is the Messiah. He is the answer to our questions. He is the one you have been looking for all your life.

On Christ the "SOLID ROCK" I stand, all other grounds is sinking sand!

Perhaps you visiting this blog site today and you do not know Jesus as Lord and Savior or maybe you are saved but are weakened in your faith because you find yourself in what appears to be a hopeless situation on today, I leave you with these words form on high.

If you put your hope in Jesus on today, I promise you that you will never have to be concerned about "HOPE" every being deferred again.

Psalm 23:1-6 The Lord Is My Shepherd

Psalm 23:1-6  The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2  He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.

THE LORD IS YOUR SHEPHERD!

John 2:5 Do What He Tells You

John 2:5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

 Jewish celebrations and festivities sometimes go on for weeks, months or even a year.  Friends and family comes from far and near and wine is a vital part of their daily life and is a necessity for weddings and celebrations of any kind.

After the wine ran out at this wedding, Mary spoke to her Son Jesus and said "they have no more wine" and Jesus replied back with these words "Dear woman, why do you involve me?" "My time has not yet come."

When Jesus said "His time has not yet come" He was saying that the time for the public manifestation of Him as the Messiah is not yet.

Jesus knew the importance of obedience for He obeyed His earthly mother Mary's indirect command to provide wine for the wedding feast.

Young people, obey your parents for this is right in the Lord. Mary was Jesus earthly mother, but He obeyed what she said. He is God and He gave the example of what children must do when our parents request and expect obedience from us.  

Obedience is better than sacrifice!

Jesus is still speaking to ALL of us on today as He did over 2k years ago at that wedding at Caanan.  He speaks to us through His written Word in the Bible, His Holy Spirit, dreams, other people, songs and so many other ways.

It is time to cast off the mindset of darkness and depression and get moving in doing what God has commanded you to do that you have been putting off for months or years in doing.

Obey! Do what Jesus tells you to do.

Psalm 134:1-3 You Deserve The Glory Lord

Psalm 134:1-3 Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord.

2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

3 The Lord that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.

O give thanks unto the Lord for He is good! 

God's mercy and His grace has kept us thus far, therefore, we owe Him our praise. We owe it to Him to open up our mouth and bless HIs Holy name. 

People of God, the Lord your God commands you on today to lift up your hand in the sanctuary and bless Him.

The command to lift up your hands and blessed the Lord in His sanctuary tells me that He expects  and is looking forward to your praise and worship to Him on today in His sanctuary.

Remember people of God to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together .

People of God, make the sacrifice on today and get out to the Lord's house and celebrate Him with your brothers and sisters in Christ.

It is the Lord our God who is the creator of the universe. It is He that has made us and not we ourselves.

Bless the Lord o my soul and ALL that is within me. Bless His Holy Name.

I praise you O Lord, I lift your name on high for you are worthy of My praise. I honor You, I glorify your name and I magnify you for you are worthy Lord.

Thank You Lord for your love, your grace, your mercy and your saving power.

You are GREAT Lord! There is no one else like you. NOBODY!

Lord, you alone are God and besides you there is NO other!

PRAISE THE LORD! LET ALL THE EARTH PRAISE THE LORD OUR GOD!

Matthew 5:9 Peace Maker Or Trouble Maker

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.

BLESSED=makarios in the greek and is defined as happy, blessed, to be envied.

PEACE MAKER=eirénopoios in the greek and is defined as peacemaking, a peacemaker. One who makes peace by reconciling parties that are at variance.

TROUBLE MAKER= tarachopoiós in the greek and is described as one who makes trouble, especially between people. One who cause unpleasantness, quarrels, or fights, especially by encouraging people to oppose authority.

This text is a part of Jesus Sermon on the Mount called the "BEATITUDE".

The "Beatitudes" describes what should be the characteristics of God's people in the earth. Those who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus by faith in God's atoning work at the cross on their behalf as full payment for our sins.

People everywhere are searching for "peace". True and everlasting "peace" can only be found in a personal relationship with Christ Jesus. Everything else is temporary.

As people of God, we are daily becoming "sons and daughters" of God through the work of the Holy Spirit of God that indwells us. Yes, it is through our obedience to the leading of God's Spirit that we are daily being transformed into the likeness of Christ. No, it is not of our own efforts or works, IT'S ALL GOD'S WORK in and through us!

Romans 5:1-Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Peacemaker or troublemaker? Which best describes your daily routine? One of making peace or one who is a troublemaker who causes problems everywhere you go?

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.

My prayer for you all on today is that "peacemaker" describe who you are this day and everyday.

Faith is taking the first step when you don't see the whole staircase.

I have decided to stick with "LOVE" for hate is too great a burden to bear.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only :LIGHT" can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only "LOVE" can do that.

If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk them crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.

Free at last, Free at last, Thank God almighty we are free at last.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 Tell The Lord Thank You

This message is a part of my 5 minutes devotional message God gave me to speak this morning on Royal Missionary Baptist Church Prayer line. 

1 Thessalonians 5:18- In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Tell the Lord thank you!

We all have reasons to be thankful. But the question to be answered is are we?

The Word of God is clear in it’s command for us to Tell the Lord thank you!

We are  exhorted throughout  scripture to make a joyful noise unto the lord,  to enter His gates with thanksgiving, to serve Him with gladness and come before his presence with singing .

As God’s people it is our duty and obligation to acknowledge  and honor God with  gratitude  in all things for this is His will concerning us in Christ Jesus.

Gratitude towards God reminds us that we owe God EVERYTHING! 

This text that is before us contains two words that may be hard to swallow, especially if the circumstnaces of our lives are not as we planned them.  These words are always and everything.

Notice that the Scripture doesn’t say to be thankful for all things but to be thankful IN  all things, always.

Eventhough we are in the season of thanksgiving, we must understand that thanking God cannot be confined to one day a year.  For the believer, everyday is a day of  thanksgiving to the Lord our God! 

Telling God thank you shifts our view from self to God!  When we fix our eyes on the  difficulties of life, the pain becomes unbearable and the situation seems hopeless with no end in sight.

When we thank God in what seems to be unbearable situations or circumstances, not only does "Thank You" shifts our focus to the Lord our God, but it reminds us of what we know to be true and that is:we are never alone, regardless of what we may have to go thru  in this life for God’s word declares that he will never leave us nor forsake us.

On tomorrow  we will gather around the dinner table with family and friend in celebration of thanksgiving day.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we tend to focus on our blessings and giving thanks for God’s goodness and what He has done for us through the years, which is good, but let this thanksgiving be different.

Let’s start this Thanksgiving off by turning it into a day of not only thanking God for what He has done but also a day in which we will dedicate our lives to  thankful living for God every day.

James 1:22- But don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.

The Bible gives us a long list of things we should be thankful for that will never change. We are to be thankful that God is good, His grace, mercy and His love for us is everlasting, His "LOVE" towards us can not described and it is truly amazing and beyond measure.

If you are a visitor or a frequent viewer of this blog site and you have been given you a reasonable portion of health and strength you have a reason to tell God thank you.

If you have a job, food on your table, clothes on your Back &  a roof over your head, then you have riches that some people in the world only dream of having.

People of God, learn to daily count your blessings  and in return you won’t have time to complain about your misfortunes.

People of God, Have you been daily thanking God?

Thanksgiving is indeed the will of God through Christ Jesus concerning His people.
