Happy Labor Day

Labor_Day.jpg

Labor Day in the United States is a public holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September. It honors the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, laws and well-being of the country. It is the Monday of the long weekend known as Labor Day Weekend and it is considered the unofficial end of summer in the United States. The holiday is also a federal holiday.

Beginning in the late 19th century, as the trade union and labor movements grew, trade unionists proposed that a day be set aside to celebrate labor. "Labor Day" was promoted by the Central Labor Union and the Knights of Labor, which organized the first parade in New York City. In 1887, Oregon was the first state of the United States to make it an official public holiday. By the time it became an official federal holiday in 1894, thirty U.S. states officially celebrated Labor Day.[1]

Psalm 23 The Lord Is My Shepherd

Psalm 23: 1-6 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

You said the Lord is your Shepherd, so why aren't you following Him?

God wants to know why you are not following Him, yet you claim to be His sheep.

God bless.

John 15:13-A DAY OF REMEMBERANCE

John 15:13-Greater love has no man than this: that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Today is a day of remembrance as we reflect back on the day that Jesus died and shed His blood for the remission of our sins.

Let us be reminded that it was His shed blood that Redeemed us from God's eternal wrath.

As we reflect on our Savior and what He did for us, let us not forget to also reflect back on those of our military who also died for our safety and security in this country and around the world.

Blood was shed in both instance, but only One can "Redeem" life through the shedding of His blood.

Our earthly soldiers have fought a good fight and their hard work and services will never be forgotten by the Lord, our God sees and knows everything they have done in their service to Him and unto us. He knows all the sacrifices they made in giving their lives to serve their country.

On this day of remembrance, let us first remember our Savior, Jesus Christ who died for our eternal redemption and also let us not forget our "fallen soldiers" who laid down their lives for our earthly protection and freedom.

Indeed, today and everyday is a day of remembrance.

God bless.

Ephesians 6:10-18 Daily Suit Up In The Full Armor Of God

Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

11 Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your waist girded with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 having your feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace, 16 and above all, taking the shield of faith, with which you will be able to extinguish all the fiery arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 Pray in the Spirit always with all kinds of prayer and supplication. To that end be alert with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

Do you have your war clothes on? Spiritual warfare is real!

The Word of God and prayer are  indispensable weapon that we MUST use daily in order to survive in this evil world.

God knew before creation what His people would have to endure in this world, therefore, He has already given us the tools necessary to live this Christian life He has called us to.

Not prepared for spiritual warfare? Expect defeat!

Prepared for spiritual warfare? Expect victory with Christ Jesus!

PUT ON THE WHOLE CHRISTIAN ARMOR FOR THE DAY IS COMING WHEN YOU WILL NEED IT!

God bless.

Ephesians 5:15-17 Live Your Life As Wise And Not As A Fool

Ephesians 5:15-17-MEV- See then that you walk carefully, not as fools, but as wise men, 16 making the most of the time because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

The writer of this text send forth a strong warning to the people of God. "Be very careful how you live your life, but most of all, know the will of God for your life and live it out."

Living a life of wisdom starts with a personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ by faith.

What really mattes in life is what God sees. It is God who searches the heart, it is God who judges man according to the issues of his or her heart for scripture declares these words in Luke 6:45-A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

To walk wisely means to walk by faith according to the leading of God's Holy Spirit who leads and guides us on God's path of truth and righteousness for His name sake.

We will never walk the path of "wisdom" or even know how to get where God wants us to be without God's Word.

Proverbs 2:6-8 All wisdom comes from the Lord, and so do common sense and understanding. 7 God gives helpful advice[a] to everyone who obeys him and protects all of those who live as they should. 8 God sees that justice is done,  and he watches over everyone who is faithful to him.

Psalm 14:1-A fool says in his heart that there is no God. A "fool", one who does not fear God or man lives according to what is right in his or her own eyes and ends up in a ditch.

Our enemy, satan is a  liar, a deceiver, crafty and he is very dangerous. He seeks to destroy our soul. 1 Peter 5:8-Be sober and watchful, because your adversary the devil walks around as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Be ye "Wise" through the lense of scripture and not your own eyes.

Living a life of a "fool" is not an option for the believer. Our only choice is "wise" in the eyes of God by making godly choices and using the time that God has allot us here in our short stay here on earth to bring glory and honor to God alone.

With the help of God's Holy Spirit we can be lead on a straight course and live a life that honors God and gives light to this dark and evil world in which we live.

People of God, the world is watching us who confess Christ, therefore "wise" must be our walk so that we can reflect Christ and be effective witnesses in the earth of God's saving  "Grace."

Everyone of us is either living our lives as "wise" or as a "fool."

Where do you draw the line? Does a life of a "fool" stops with you?

God bless.

John 12:48 Accepted Or Rejected Christ And His Word

John 12:48 - He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him. The word I have spoken will judge him on the last day.

When Jesus walked the earth many did not receive Him as the Messiah, including his own people. Instead of receiving Him, they sought to kill Him.

May today are still rejecting Christ and seeking to kill him through denial and rejection of Him and His Gospel. They have placed a "no vacancy" sign in the window of their heart.

Accepted or rejected Christ and His Word? Where do you stand on today concerning Jesus?

This "judge", the Word of God that is written in God's bible will be man's final judge in the end.

The "Bible" is man's standard for life and living. It is the only standard of authority that is and forever given and acceptable to God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

I urge everyone of us on today to carefully consider these spoken words by Christ. I pray that we all will act upon them immediately.

Write these Words on our heart and do not depart from them. Jesus said "There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not receive My words: The word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day."

Hebrews 4:12-For the word of God is alive, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intents of the heart.

When all else fails, the "Word Of God" will remain standing. Every dot of God's Word will be fulfilled. Matthew 24:35- Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Jesus was not a plan b, He has always been the original plan from God for the atonement of man's sins.

Jesus came to save us and not judge us. John 12:47-If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world..

The only way to escape the wrath of God is by the grace of God. The heart of God is to call us into that grace by repentance and faith, for without faith it is impossible to please God.

Have you accepted or rejected Christ and His Word?

Argue the Word of God if you must, reject it if you will, however, God will have the last word.

God bless.

Matthew 10:30 How Well Does God Know You and I?

Matthew 10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Have you ever doubted that God knows who you are, knows where you are, knows what you are thinking and is concerned about you in whatever state you may find yourselves on today?

If the enemy has been telling you lies about God's concern for you, listen to his lies no more for God's Word declares and proves to you on today that He not only cares about you and I, but He knows us.

Let’s listen to what David says concerning God’s knowledge and love for His creation.

David describes God's knowledge, love and concern for us in this way in Psalm 139:1-18-O Lord, You have searched me  and known me. 2 You know when I sit down and when I get up;You understand my thought from far off.

3 You search my path and my lying down and are aware of all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O Lord, You know it fully. 5 You put Yourself behind and before me, and keep Your hand on me.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;  it is lofty, and I cannot fathom it. 7 Where shall I go from Your spirit, or where shall I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend to heaven, You are there;  if I make my bed in Sheol, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning and dwell at the end of the sea, 10 even there Your hand shall guide me, and Your right hand shall take hold of me.

11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light shall be as night about me,”
12 even the darkness is not dark to You, but the night shines as the day,  for the darkness is like light to You. 13 You brought my inner parts into being; You wove me in my mother’s womb.

14 I will praise you, for You made me with fear and wonder; marvelous are Your works, and You know me completely. 15 My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, and intricately put together in the lowest parts of the earth.

16 Your eyes saw me unformed, yet in Your book all my days were written, before any of them came into being. 17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!  How great is the sum of them! 18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You.

People of God, our Heavenly Father knows us and He knows where we are.

Believe it or not, but every strand of hair that either grows of fall out of our head is known by God.

Regardless of your situation, know that God knows all about it and He is working all things together for your good.

People of God, remember that God is in control of all the affairs of life, even when we fail to believe and even when the circumstances of life appears to make it look like He is not.

Trust God and take Him at His Word.

Know for a surety that God loves us and He is indeed concerned about us. The “Just” shall live by faith.

God bless you all on today and keep hope alive by keeping the faith.

GOD IS WITH YOU!

May God richly bless you all and may His love and peace shine upon you this day and everyday of your life.

Habakkuk 3:17-18 Choose To Praise & Sing Unto The Lord In Spite Of Your Circumstances

Habakkuk 3:17-18 Though the fig tree does not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the yield of the olive fails, and the fields produce no food; though the flocks are cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls— 18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the God of my salvation.

Trusting God no matter what? Is this where you find yourself on today?

Have you chosen to bless the name of the Lord our God in your uncomfortable situations by singing and giving Him praise?

This is where we find the Prophet Habakkuk in this text in the midst of judgment and hardship, declaring to sing and praise God in the midst of it.

Well, we know the story, they were worshiping the gods of their surrounding nation and had moved away from the true and living God, therefore God spoke judgment against them through His Prophet, Habakkuk.

The prophecy of Habakkuk is different from those of other prophets who normally speak to the people on behalf of God, but in this text, Habakkuk is speaking to God about the people.

Habakkuk questions God's timing of His judgment upon His people and He questions God as to how He, being a holy God would use their enemies, the Chaldeans, who were more wicked than them to bring judgment on the children of Judah.

Having accepted God’s response and having placed his faith and hope in the Lord His God, Habakkuk chooses to rejoice and sing a hymn of faith even when everything around him had signs of the pending judgment that was to come.

How are you standing in the midst of trouble? Singing hymns of praise? I knew you would be.

God bless you all.

Psalm 139:1-18 You And I Are Always On The Mind Of God

Psalm 139:18 O Lord, You have searched me and known me.

9 If I take the wings of the morning and dwell at the end of the sea, 10 even there Your hand shall guide me, and Your right hand shall take hold of me.11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,and the light shall be as night about me,”12 even the darkness is not dark to You, but the night shines as the day, for the darkness is like light to You.

13 You brought my inner parts into being; You wove me in my mother’s womb.14 I will praise you, for You made me with fear and wonder; marvelous are Your works, and You know me completely. 15 My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, and intricately put together in the lowest parts of the earth.16  Your eyes saw me unformed, yet in Your book all my days were written, before any of them came into being.

17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!

18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You.

The Psalmist begins and ends this text by acknowledging the truth about God and His knowledge of man.

Today, scripture provides us with proof of God's Omniscience power. The God of infinite knowledge.

Nothing about us is hidden from God for He knows all about us. He knows our going out, our lying down, our getting up, our coming in and He is familiar with all our ways. Nothing is hidden form Him concerning you and I.

Because God is all knowing, it would only make sense to seek Him for whatever our needs are. He is our Creator and He knows what we stand in need of before we even ask Him.

God bless and do tell the Lord thank you that regardless of what our life may look like right now, God knows all about it and indeed has a great plan  in store for us in eternity with Him.

God bless.
