Habakkuk 2:3 Twenty Year Anniversary

Habakkuk 2:3 -For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Twenty years ago today, on Sunday, February 16, 2003 @ 6:30pm, I received my call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

God gave me this text that is written here, along with 3 words, which were “vision, labor pains and birth.” Guess what? I experienced all 3 of these words before I was licensed on December 30, 2007.

The picture attached here is me at my initial sermon, titled “The “vision” at the appointed time.”

Matthew 11:28-29 Has Anybody Talked To Jesus Lately

JESUS IS HERE.jpg

Matthew 11:28-29 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me. For I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Jesus is looking for you! Have you talked to Him lately?

There is a song that is sung by Amy Lambert that has so much words of comfort and encouragement.

LYRICS: I went down to the church house, they said I would find him there. So patiently I waited and he never showed up anywhere. Just before the final prayer, people were anxious to go home, I said said “I have one question, there is something I must know. Has anybody talked to Jesus lately? I was told that I would find him here. I heard He heals the brokenhearted and He dries all tears away and I even heard He could dry my tears. I am looking for Jesus, I hope I could find Him here.

I opened up the Bible that was there nearby and what I read there answered all the questions in my mind. Jesus standing at the door longing to go in. Although He knocked and waited, no one opened up to Him. Has anybody talked to Jesus lately?

Jesus has an open invitation to salvation. Is anyone listening, is anyone responding, has anyone talked to Jesus lately?

“As it is said: "Today if you should hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion” (Heb. 3:15).

Have you talked to Jesus lately?

Looking for Jesus? You can find Him in the pages of scripture with arms open wide. He is willing to answer all the questions in your mind. Jesus is waiting for you to invite Him into your heart on today.

Jesus wants to heal you everywhere you hurt. He wants to give you peace and rest for your weary soul on today.

HAS ANYBODY TALKED TO JESUS LATELY? HE CAN HEAL YOUR BROKEN HEART AND WIPE AWAY YOUR TEARS!

Looking for Jesus! Does this describes you? “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” (Jer. 29:13).

God bless.

Habakkuk 2:3 THE VISION WAS GIVEN 18 YEARS AGO TODAY

DEBRA SERMON.jpg

Habakkuk 2:3-For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

18 years ago, today, which was on Sunday, February 16, 2003 @ 6:30pm, I received my call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That day, I lie down after Church around 4:00pm because I was tired and the weather had made it a good day to lay down and rest after a powerful Sunday School Class and Church Service that day.

The temperature that day was in the mid 40 and it was a cold, wet, rainy Sunday evening. At 6:30 pm, I was awaken out of my sleep by the sound of my name being called. Having laid back down twice and hearing my name being called a third time, fear gripped me in a way that I am unable to explain.

I heard the Spirit of God spoke to me saying “write these words down, (vision, labor pain and birth).” I was fearful, crying, shaking, and hesitant, but wrote them down, then I again heard, “write down this scripture and these words, (Habakkuk 2:3 and “the vision at the appointed time”). I was fearful, scared and confused as to what all this was about at that time, and I kept that day a secret for almost a week without telling anyone.

Believe it or not, but for 4 years and 10 months prior to my initial sermon on 12/30/2007, I spiritually experienced everyone of those three painful words that was given to me when I received my call to the Gospel that Sunday afternoon on 02/16/2003.

During the waiting period between the call and the manifestation of the vision, I went through spiritual warfare like never before. It was an experience I would not wish on anyone, because of the painful severity of those spiritual attacks. My choice was to give birth to what God has placed in me, or to abort it. I was determined to give birth to the “VISION” God placed inside of me. Trust me, it did not come without a cost! Pain, opposition, hurt and rejection, like nothing I had ever experienced before!

God was beginning His spiritual work inside of me by transforming me from who I was that day into who He had called me to be. I felt spiritual growth pains, hard labor from the suffering I experienced those years, and eventually the birth of the vision God had spoken and manifested in my life. In hindsight, 18 years later, I know it was all a part of Gods plan for me, and the preparation process for the work ahead. The process has not stopped and continues even today, but I am strong and wiser, as I continue to strive to do the work that God assigned to my hands to do. Truly, I can say that I have and still am daily, growing spiritually, with the help of God Holy Spirit who indwells me.

Point: In my years of living, I have learned that suffering is a part of life. As we mature spiritually, we handle it in a different way than we would have if we hade not been in relations with God through Christ Jesus. “Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory He will reveal to us later” (Rom. 8:18). There is a reward that awaits those believers in the glory of heaven.

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns” (Phil. 1:6).

Attached to this post is the picture of me at my initial sermon on 12/30/07 and the cakes with God spoken words to me on 02/16/2003.

God spoken words on 02/16/2003 @ 6:30pm manifested itself in my life, and came to full fruition on that cold, wet and pouring down rainy day, 14 and a half years ago on 12/30/2007 @ 5pm. That day on 12/30/2007, a spiritual marriage of commitment to Christ, and the call to service took place that day. A day of being determined to follow Christ Leading without turning back, in spite of the persecution that was guaranteed to come.

What was unique and still amazing to me is the fact that I am not able to comprehend the connection between my call and my initial sermon, with both happening on a day when the weather was down pouring with heavy rain, very cold, cloudy, and a dark day.

The supporters to my initial sermon that Sunday was close to a thousand people from the surrounding area churches and communities where I grew up. Coworkers, neighbors, friends, family member, church sisters and brothers, friends of friends, community leaders, local Pastors, Preachers, etc.

Lord, I am forever grateful and thankful to you for ALL you have done and continue to do in my life.

“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations” (Jer. 1:5). I have since learned that God had preordained me to be who I am today, even before my mother and father winked at each other. He had already determined before the foundation of the world that I would be His servant.

Matthew 5:16-Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

If God made you a promise, it WILL come to pass! Believe and trust Him for it!

This testimony I now share with you was preordained by God for me before I entered my mother womb and God brought it fruition at His appointed time in my life.

NOBODY BUT GOD DID THIS!

NO ONE CAN MAKE ME DOUBT GOD!! KNOW TOO MUCH ABOUT HIM!

LORD, I THANK YOU!

Matthew 11:28-29 You Do Not Have To Bear Your Burdens Alone

cast.jpg

Matthew 11:28-29 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me. For I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

The cares of the world seems to be more overwhelming than they have ever been before. The good news on today is we do not have to bear our burdens alone, nor is there a need for us to feel burdensome anymore. We have help through Christ Jesus.

Cast all your cares upon the Lord; for he careth for you (1 Pet. 5:7, NIV). Yes, you have a way of escape from the cares and burdens of this world. Your help is through faith In Jesus, prayer and the word of God.

Go into your secret closet and call upon the Lord, for His Word declares that the righteous cries out to the Lord and He hears them (Ps. 34:17, NIV).

There is no need for you nor I to continue to carry our heaven burdens, nor cares anymore because again today, the Lord God is reminding us that the troubles of life will come, but He changes not. He is the same God, yesterday, today and forever.

I leave you with this reminder on today, “you do not have to bear your burdens alone” because help is available to you and I. God is our refuge and strength; a very present help in time of trouble (Ps. 46:1, NIV).

Those of you who do not know God for the pardon of your sins, today is the day to come to Jesus so that you too can declare that the Lord God is “riding out your storms of life with you.” All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away (Jn. 6:37, NIV).

BE STILL AND KNOW, THAT THE LORD, HE IS GOD!

God bless you all.

Psalm 125:1-5 The Lord God Is Our Sure Foundation

mounysin.jpg

Psalm 125: Those who trust in the Lord shall be as Mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abides forever. 2 As the mountains are around Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people, from now and forever.

3 For the scepter of the wicked shall not rest upon the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous put forth their hands to do iniquity. 4 Do good, O Lord, for those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts. 5 As for those who turn aside to their twisted ways, the Lord shall lead them away with the other workers of iniquity.

Peace be upon Israel!

Those who hope is the Lord, will NEVER be ashamed!

God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, peace and a sound mind!

God bless!

Habakkuk 2:3 The Vision At The Appointed Time

DEBRA SERMON.jpg

Seventeen years ago, Sunday, February 16, 2003 @ 6:30 pm I received my call to peach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I was awaken from a deep sleeep after hearing my name called three times on that cold, dark, storrmy and rainy Sunday evening. I was instructed by the Holy Spirit to write these words down once I was awaken. (1) Vision, (2) Labor pain, (3) Birth. I was then instructed to continue writing and these were the next words given:Habakkuk 2:3 and "The Vision at the Appointed Time".

Attached here is a picture of me at my Trial Sermon on Sunday, December 30, 2007.

Lord, you are faithful!

Thank You Lord for trusting me with Your “Gospel".

GOD KNOWS MY NAME!!!

Psalm 145:18-19 Are You In Need Of The Lord Help

call.jpg

Psalm 145:18-19 The Lord is near to all those who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. 19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and will save them.

Did you arose this morning in need of God’s help? Well, if you are visiting here on today, God has given you the route to take in hearing from Him and seeing the manifestation of what you prayed to Him for.

We must always be mindful that the promises of God is not always immediate, but if you wait in faith, you will surely see them come to pass.

This text reminds us that God is near to all those who call upon Him in truth. Have you called on the Lord since your eyes were opened this morning? I believe if you call on Him He will do what He says in this scripture concerning you.

The promise to those who call upon the Lord in spirit and in truth is that He will not only give them their desires, but He also promises to fulfill their desires, hear their cry and save them.

We are reminded in scripture that the christian race is not given to the swift nor the strong but to those who endure to the end. You will reap a harvest if you do not faint!

Are you in need of the Lord’s help? To be honest, we ALL are! Pray and wait on the Lord!

Now is the time to call upon the Lord in spirit and in truth like never before. If we ever needed God’s intervention in our lives, homes, families, marriages, churches, nations, etc., the time is now!

Stick with God and you can’t and won’t go wrong! He will lead, guide and direct us into all truth and righteousness.

Call upon the Lord for He promises to hear and answer our prayer!

God bless.

Debra

PSALM 34:15-22 The Eyes Of The Lord Is Upon You

rescue.jpg

Psalm 34:15-22The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. 16 The face of the Lord is against the ones doing evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.

17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. 18 The Lord is near to the broken-hearted, and saves the contrite of spirit.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. 20 A righteous one keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.

21 Evil will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. 22 The Lord redeems the life of His servants, and all who take refuge in Him will not be punished.

If there ever was a time to believe what God says concerning us, putting our hope, faith and trust in Him, the time is now. It is the Lord God who watches over us 24/7. It is He who promises to never leave nor forsake us. The Lord He is God and there is no other god.

When the Word of God says that “the eyes of the Lord is upon His people” we MUST believe that without a shadow of a doubt! God’s Word is true, He can not lie and He NEVER fails.

Yes, life sometimes have a way of making us believe that God is no where to be found when we find ourselves in trouble or when we suffer or even feel lonely or abandoned by those we thought loved and cared about us, but the truth of the matter is the fact God is right there with us! He declares it to us on today in His word! TAKE HIM AT HIS WORD!

Regardless of what my eyes may see, I WILL believe the report of the Lord which declares to me today that His eyes are upon me and He is with me wherever I go.

Lord we thank you that we are NEVER beyond your reach.

Thank You Lord for being a ever presence help among your people this and everyday.

Psalm 40: 1-5 God Rewards Those Who Wait On H

mercy.jpg

Psalm 40:1-5 I waited patiently for the Lord, and He turned to me, and heard my cry. 2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet on a rock and established my steps. 3 He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God;
many will see it, and fear, and will trust in the Lord.

4 Blessed is the man who places trust in the Lord but does not turn toward the proud, nor those falling away to falsehood. 5 O Lord my God, You have done many wonderful works, and Your thoughts toward us cannot be compared; if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

God rewards those who wait on Him.

Wait on the Lord and be of good courage.

God bless.
