1 Peter 5:7 GIVE IT TO GOD

1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your care upon Him, because He cares for you.

Cast your cares upon me! This is the Word of the Lord to all those who are trying to carry life's burdens, cares and worries on their should.

God is saying to you, "GIVE IT TO ME" for I am willing to carry it for you.

Cast= to throw off, toss

We can only find relief and peace in God when we let go and give life's issues to God.

When we learn to hand our cares over to God we realize that we don’t have to carry the heavy load anymore ourselves.

If you find yourself worried and burdened down, pour out your fear and anxiety to God in prayer and when you do, you will not only feel the burden lifting, but you will also feel the presence of His peace that surpass all understanding.

With our faith in God we CAN find peace and remain calm even when the storms of life is raging all around us.

“Cast all your cares on God,” WHY? Because He cares for you.

God already knows everything that we go through or will ever go through, therefore, He is letting us know that there is no need for us to attempt to carry life's burdens anymore.

God is calling us to a place of trust in Him alone and no longer dependent on ourselves or anyone else to figure out our issues of life. He is calling us to come to Him and He will direct our path.

God' word of instruction and encouragement to all of us on today is "LET IT GO" and GIVE IT TO ME!"

How can we let go of worry and stress? We can do it with  absolute confidence in the Word of God that declares to you and I on today that "God cares for us."

When we cast our cares on the Lord our God, we can stand strong in hope, faith and conviction as to who our God is and what He is able to do concerning His people.

The call to all of us on today is to 'TRUST GOD."  We do not have to face the trials, test and struggles of life alone for God is calling us to give them to Him and He will carry them for us so that we may be able to focus on the work that He has assigned to our hands in the earth.

Stress and anxiety leads to so many other problems like health issues, ulcers, physical pain and discomfort. People get headaches, backaches, depression, strokes, high blood pressure, problems sleeping and on and on from worry.

Does the cares of this world have you burdened down? Are you tired of carrying around unnecessary stress everyday?

If you answered yes to these questions, there is a way of escape for you on today and His name is "JESUS."  Will you give it to Him on today?

God has given us a wonderful promise on today that says "CAST OFF" worry, fear, anxiety, stress, etc because "HE CARES" for us. Who can care for us better than the Lord God, our Creator? NONE!

God's love and provision for His people is perfect.  God's Word will do what He commands it to do and He can command His Word to "carry our burdens" if we would just give them to Him.

Imagine life today without the mental worries and burdens of life. It can be yours if you would only trust God on today to carry them for you.

Oh, how different our lives would be if we would take God at His Word today and cast our cares on Him. When we do, we can live with the confidence and assurance that He cares for us.

Ready to take the release leap on today? Cast off life's burdens by faith and watch God catch them and throw them upon His own shoulders and carry them for you.

GIVE IT TO GOD! Take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there.

God bless.

Proverbs 14:12 What's In Your Minds View

Proverbs 14:12-There is a way that seems right to a man,but its end is the way of death.

Are we there yet? Do we see the manifestation of this scripture in our world, our own lives, our homes, families, communities, churches, workplaces, etc on today?

Life is a cycle that repeats itself over and over again. Throughout the entire Bible we see man's rebellion in living how he or she wanted to verses what God commands of us.

God described this time and behavior as a time when "every man" lived according to what was right in his or her own eyes. Are we there yet? NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!

As hard as it may be to digest or obey, we were created for God's purpose and not our own. It is not what seems right to us but what is right in the eyes of God.

There is indeed a way that seems right to man, but the end of that way leads to destruction.

Jesus Himself declares where the road ends for those whose mind's view sees only self.

Let listen to Jesus response to that mindset in Matthew 7:13 - For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who are going through it.

What's in your mind view? Self or God?

Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

God is calling us away from self living standards. Away from a twisted mind that has lead many to see "right living" from their own eyes view instead of seeing "right living" from the Word of God which is man's guide book for life and living.

There are some evil actions or courses which men may think to be lawful and good but the Word of God sends forth a warning to you on today that this path will eventually lead you to a place of eternal separation from God.

I heard someone once said " I would rather live my life as if there is a God than to live it believing there is not and when I die, find out that there is a God, He is real and alive and well."

Imagine the horror when you realize in eternity that God is real, hell is real and in your continual pursuit of "self"you rejected God while you had a chance to accept Him and now it's too late.

Hebrews 9:27-As it is appointed for men to die once, but after this comes the judgment.

When we all stand before God, it will be done individually and not as a group or a family. We all will personally have a chance to speak with God. What will you say? What will be your excuse for rejecting Him by the rejection of His Word that He gave us to live by in His Bible?

From which view is your life being guided on today? Self or God?

What's in your minds view? What do you see when you look at God through the lense of His Word, when you look at your life, when you ponder on our promised death, when you see the works of satan in the earth and  when the thought of eternity comes to mind? What's in your view on these issues?

If you have been living your life according to "SELF" my advise to you is that you seek "SHELTER" in God on today for when the storm of life that is guaranteed to comes, catches you off guard, you will have no time to prepare for the dangerous ride ahead you will have on that stormy and raging sea apart from God.

When that great day of separation comes and you are caught living from "self" view, you will be overtaken by the fierce and raging stormy sea into the enemy territory to never be found or heard of anymore among God and His people.

Where do you stand on today? This is the question that can no longer be ignored nor put off anymore.

Where do you stand in your relationship with the Lord? Or, have you become your own God on the throne of your heart?

What's in your minds view? Remember, there is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end thereof leads to destruction and eternal separation from God.

What's in your minds view? HUMMMMMMM!

I urge, beg and plea with you on today to ponder this question for your future life depends on your answer to it.

God bless.

Psalm 32:8 Direction

Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye on you.

Need direction in life? Not sure of the way of Salvation? God is willing to teach, instruct and guide you.

The promise in this text is God's provision for those who are willing to receive Him by faith and follow His leading.

Let's listen to what God says He will do if we are willing to be taught by Him and follow Him. (1) I will instruct you, (2) I will teach you in the way you should go, (3) I will counsel you with my eyes on you.

It is the Lord's desire to teach His children in the way in which He would have them to go according to His way of submission and obedience to His Word and His authority.

As a believer we MUST seek and obey with humility, live in holiness, daily walk in integrity, be honest in our dealings with one another, and be faithful to God and the task that He has assigned to our hands.

No, God did not saved us to live life as we please. There is a standard of living for the Christian in which God has established for us to live by in His Word.

Direction is important for without it we get lost. Many are lost today because they refuse to be taught by God, but instead by self. They refuse to go the way in which God has already mapped out for us in His Word and they refuse to be counsel by God and be guided by God's eyes. Instead, many chose to be instructed and guided by what their eyes see in the world and follow after that counsel.

Man can instruct, but it is only God through His Holy Spirit who can make us understand truth when God says "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (Jn. 8:31-32, NIV).

As God continues to teach and instruct us in the way of salvation, He promises to keep a watchful eye on us. He will not leave us to ourselves for He knows without His direction and His watchful eyes upon us, like sheep, we will stray away from the path of righteousness.

Looking for direction in life? Not sure about how to travel down the road of Salvation once you have accepted Christ? Get in the Word of God, pray and seek the Lord's face for He promises to teach, instruct and keep a watchful eye over you.

God bless.

John 17:17 - Final Authority

John 17:17-Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Sanctify=hagiazó in the greek. To set apart for God' service.

The Word of the Lord is the final authority where "truth" is concerned.

God has set a standard in His Word in which He commands us to not go beyond, but heed and daily apply to our lives.

We are reminded of 2 truths in this text. (1) The Word of God is the truth that we ALL must be sanctified by for there is no other way to be set apart for God's service apart from His Word which is truth.

(2) The Word of God is truth. Believing or attempting to believe that sanctification is done any other way than through the Word of God is a lie. God's word is final authority, even if man chooses to willfully disobey it.

God and His Word is One. We cannot love God and not love His Word. The two go hand in hand.

"Sanctify" them with your truth is the powerful statement that is made by Jesus in this text.

Sanctification is not something we do ourselves, it is a work and a process that is done in us by means of God's Holy Spirit that dwells in us after our confession of faith in Christ Jesus. In other words, after salvation.

The "Word of God" is what sanctifies, washes, regenerate and transforms the mind. It is with the mind that we are taught and learned truth through God's Word.

With our hearts, we learn to love God's truth. With our will, we yield and submit to God's will and authority by yielding to the spirit of truth which is God's Word by daily application of it in every area of our lives.

The Word of God is meant to change our minds and our hearts from sinful to holy and from carnal to spiritual. The renewing of our mind through the washing of it with the Word of God, and the application of  the Word of God in every area of our lives is how the sanctification process works.

When all is said and done and when life on this side is over, all that will matter is the "Authority of God's Word." NOTHING ELSE WILL MATTER!

What we do with God's Word or how we apply it to our lives us up to us, but God has given us His mandate in how we should live as people of God so there is no one to blame but self.

Today, will you become a student of the Word of God? I encourage you to read the Bible daily and apply it to your life daily.  Don’t put it off another day. Ask the Lord to change your life from the inside out today.

Remember, God's Word is final authority!

God bless.

PSALM 56:3 FEAR

Psalm 56:3 - In the day when I am afraid, I will trust in You.

David, the author of this Psalm, knew about fear. He wrote this Psalm when he had been taken captive by the Philistines who were enemies of him and his people.

In the midst of uncertainty, David declares "I will trust the Lord my God, and will not be afraid,  even though fear has come upon me."

David reminds us that sometimes in life, there will be circumstances and situations that will come upon us to cause us to fear, but God commands us in His word to "be not afraid" but to put our faith and trust in Him for He alone is the one who can rescue us from the hands of the enemy.

David gives us an example on how to deal with fear instead of trying to avoid fear. We deal with it by putting our trust in God, and by believing the promises of protection He has given us in His Word.

1 John 4:18- "Perfect love casts out fear".We deal with fear by choosing to trust in God, pray and hide His Word in our heart.

In vs#1 -2 of this text, we see David's prayer to the Lord His God. Let's listen: “Be gracious to me, O God for man has trampled upon me; Fighting all day long he oppresses me. My foes have trampled upon me all day, long, for they are many who fight proudly against me.”

In vs#3-5 we see that after David has prayed to His God he now has confidence for He says "when I am afraid I will put my trust in you O God, whose word I praise. In God i have put my trust i shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me?

One thing we can learn from David’s life is that whenever he finds himself in situations that are beyond his control, the first thing he would do was run to God in prayer.

Like David, we too may have enemies. They may not necessarily be from outside they could be close friends, family members, business partners, neighbors, haters, coworkers, or even church brothers and sisters.

What I have learned over the years and still practice today is that when the difficulties and many challenges of life from without or within comes my way, I find them driving me directly into the presence of God in prayer and His Word.

God want us to come to Him. As a matter fact, He bids us to come to Him with confidence in knowing that He is not only knows we need help, but that He is also able and willing to help us even in the midst of the opportunity to fear.

Hebrews 4:16-Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Trouble on every side? Being chased by the enemy? Circumstances of life are chaotic? Pray!

Fearful? Turn your fear into faith and confidence through prayer and the study of God's Word. God promises to hear and answer you.

Trust God on today to deliver you and He will do just that.

God bless.

Luke 22:19- Remember Me

Luke 22:19- Then He took the bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.”

It's time to head out to the Lord's house!

This is the day of remembrance of what Jesus did for us over 2k years in giving His life as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. A day of fellowship in "Communion" with God and the people of God.

Today is also a day of remembrance and thanksgiving to Christ for saving us from the wrath of sin by way of salvation through faith in God's atoning work at Calvary for the remission of our sins.

Remember me!

Remember how I fed the hungry, healed the sick, blind and lame. Remember the words of God that I taught you and the example I set before you,  remember how I was rejected, falsely accused, mocked, whipped and bean just for you, but most of all, remember the sacrifice I made in leaving my home in glory, putting on flesh and coming to earth just to die so that you might live.

Remember me!

Remember how I suffered, bled and died for your sins.

This is how we remember what Jesus did for us. As we eat the bread, we should remember how Jesus was broken, pierced, and beaten with stripes for our redemption. As we drink the cup, we should remember that His blood, His life was poured out on Calvary for us.

I pray that today is the day of all days that you would find the desire and strength to make it out to the Lord's house  and share in remembrance of what He has done for each of us individually in offering His life as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins.

Remember me! I was the one who died so that you could go free. How could you not remember me?

REMEMBER ME! This is the shout from heaven to earth on today.

Jesus is looking forward to fellowship with you on today among the people of God.

Remember Jesus on today by your presence at His table of sacrifice.

God bless.

TODAY, NOVEMBER 11TH IS DEBRA AIKEN 59th BIRTHDAY

debra.jpg

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; and before you were born I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

Today is my birthday and I thank God for allowing me to see 59 years of age.

I have had ups and downs, good times and bad times, sad times and happy times.  I have suffered pains and sorrows, disappointments, rejection and persecution.

Yes, I have been in the storm, through the fire and flood, tossed at sea, rejected, persecuted, talked about, lied on, etc., but through it all God kept me and I still have a praise inside of me that is down in my soul.

Thank You Lord for yet another year to be alive and among the living.

Thank You Lord for carrying me through.

Isaiah 55:6-7 Now Is The Time To Seek A Personal Relationship With God

seek god.jpg

Isaiah 55:6-7 Seek the Lord while He may be found, call you upon Him while He is near.

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

Today is the day of salvation and NOW is the acceptable time!

If there ever was a time to seek a personal relationship with God the Father through Christ Jesus, the time is NOW.

The time in which we live is perilous and the days are evil. We need the Lord!

Put not off for tomorrow what you can do today for tomorrow is promised to no man. We do not know what tomorrow holds, but while it is yet TODAY, I beg and plea with you to enter into a personal relationship with God.

The command today is to 'SEEK THE LORD" while He MAY be found. Let the wicked forsake His ways and evil thoughts and turn to God for it is God alone who is able to show you mercy and forgiveness.

Seek the Lord while He may be found! This tells me that a time is coming when you will seek Him and not find Him. Remember Noah and the ark?

Many perish because of rejection of God's truth He spoke through His servant Noah. Do not let this happen to you!

Matthew 6:33-But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you.

Believe it or not, but the words of this text is the best news you will ever hear in your lifetime.

Yes, the world has a lot of sooth sayings, but trust me, there is no greater news than the GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST! It is the Gospel that has the power unto salvation. It is the Gospel that sustains, guides, lead and directs our path through the Holy Spirit. It is the Gospel that will last from everlasting to everlasting when everything has failed or perish.

Seek the Lord means seeking His "presence" on today. Seeking to know Him as your Lord and Savior through Christ for there is no other name given in heaven or earth by which man can be saved than that of the name of Jesus.

The world in which we lives says  "seek things", but God says "SEEK ME"!

Is God calling you to seek Him on today? What are you gonna do about it?

Are you in need of mercy and forgiveness on today? Jesus is it! SEEK HIM!

God bless.

Mark 14:36 My Soul Says Yes

SOUL SAYS YES.jpg

Mark 14:36 He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.”

These profound words were quoted by Jesus in the garden of gethsemane prior to going to the cross to die for the sins of humanity.

Jesus was and still is our example of surrender to the will of God the Father for our lives. He surrendered fully to the plans of His Father for His life.

When Jesus said "not my will, but thy will be done", He was saying "my soul says "YES."

Jesus was in the garden and headed to the "CROSS" and you are headed to the Sanctuary this morning.

What is your response when you get there? Will it be "my soul says yes to Your will"? What will be your answer to Jesus on today as you fellowship and worship in His house on today?

Debra's soul says "YES" to the will of God for her life.

"MY SOUL SAYS YES" means trusting God in spite of what I see or may be fearful of, following Him as His sheep as He leads us, obeying what He says in His Word, even if it makes you look like a fool to those around you.

Psalm 86:11-Teach me Your way, O Lord, that I will walk in Your truth; bind my heart to fear Your name.

Does your soul says "YES" on today?

MY SOULS SAYS "YES"! This is what the Lord is listening to hear from us on today when we enter to praise and worship Him on today.

Thank you Lord for You alone know the plans you have for me. Your words declares that If I abide in you, then you will abide with me.

Father, use your people on today for your will and your glory!

Thank You Lord for my soul says 'YES"!

Hebrew 12:2 Who Or What Have You Fixed Your Eyes On

author.jpg

When the Holy Spirit awaken me this morning, I rise with a burden on my heart for God's People. I heard the Spirit of the Lord said to me these words "encourage my people" because they are loosing sight of Me based on what they see happening in the world and in their lives," so here is what the Spirit gave me for you on today.

Hebrews 12:2 Let us look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

We are living in a time where people are distracted by so many things. As the saints of old would say "if it ain't one thing, it's another"!

The call today is to "FIX" our thoughts on Jesus, God's Son who knows all about us and everything we deal with on a daily basis and will deal with in the future. He sees and knows all things! Nothing passes Him for it is with His permission that all things concerning us pass through His hands and comes our way.

Who or what are you looking at? Ask yourself this question. Are you looking at the circumstances of your life that are contrary to the Word of God? Is your focus on when, why, how, where, what if's? is this where you have decided to fix your mind's thoughts?

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all our ways, acknowledge Him and He will direct our paths.

Let your spirit guide us as your Word abide in our hearts and mind Lord so that we may be able to finish our course.

Speak to our  hearts Holy Spirit!

Thank You Lord!
