Matthew 2:13-15 Divine Protection

leaving-for-egypt.jpg

Matthew 2:13-15 Now when they departed, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and escape to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word. For Herod will seek the young Child to kill Him.”

14 When he rose, he took the young Child and His mother by night, and departed into Egypt, 15 and remained there until the death of Herod, to fulfill what the Lord had spoken through the prophet, “Out of Egypt I have called My Son.

This text is a picture of the Power and Wisdom of the "Sovereign" God of the universe. Here we see God's "Divine Providence" and God's "Divine Protection" of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

God divinely protects His own, even through the test and trials that He may allow to come in our lives. Even in those difficult situations, painful circumstances and hard places in life, God is still in control and directing our paths.

God is forever with us through His Holy Spirit. He is constantly giving us the much needed strength and endurance to continue on in faith with the knowledge and assurance of His everlasting presence with us.

People of God, "STAY IN THE WILL OF GOD" for your life and He will divinely direct and protect you too.

Protection from Heaven! This is what God not only offers, but He PROVIDES for those who belongs to Him.

God bless.

Psalm 119:169-David's Prayer For Help To His God

god breathe.jpg

Psalm 119:169 - Let my cry come near before You, O Lord; give me understanding according to Your word.

As one who seems to be in desperation of God's undivided attention on his behalf, we find David in this text crying out  to the Lord His God in fervent prayer.

David's prayer of mercy to God is a personal cry (petition) for God to not only hear his prayer, but that God would give him understanding through discernment  of His Word.

God's Word is the standard of our faith as Christians. We need His Word every minute and every hour of everyday because the days in which we now live are perilous and evil.

Give me You Lord for everything else can wait! Is this your cry unto the Lord your God on today?

The plea to God in this verse is, “SAVE ME (deliver me) ACCORDING to YOUR WORD.” Apart from your WORD, I am lost.

What is you plea to God on today? I can only hope and pray it is the same as David's prayer: "Save me according to Your Word"!

God bless.

1 John 2:15-17 Love Not The World, But Love The Lord Thy God And Live

John 2:15-17- Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father[a] is not in them. 16-For everything in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-comes not from the Father but from the world. 17-The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

"THE GREAT WAR" IS THE SPIRIT VERSES THE FLESH"

Do you love the world and all it's pleasures? The command today is to love not the world for the world and all it's desires and pleasures are temporary.

The world here does not reference the physical world but the world of sin and evil. That part of the world which is influenced by satan and is therefore not pleasing in the eyes of God.

The 3 things that makes us the world in which we are commanded not to love is (1) the lust of the flesh (2) the lust of the eyes and (3) the pride of life which does not come from God the Father, but from the world which satan dominates.

When we love the world, it is impossible to love God. Scripture declares in Matthew 6:24-No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Jesus Himself declares the greatest command is to love God first. Let's listen to Matthew 22:36-37-Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.

Love not the world, but love the Lord thy God! Why? He loved us, even yet while we were sinners. That's love!

The choice is yours to make on today. Which have you chosen?

Let us all heed the warning from John on today and choose not the love of the world, but choose to love God in word and deeds.

Love not the world, but love the Lord thy God and live!

God bless.

Matthew 16:26 What Is Your Soul Worth?

Matthew 16:26 -For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

What is your soul worth? This is the question that Jesus has put before every man, woman, boy and girl on today that must be answered.

The Soul! It is the most valuable possession you will ever have in life. What value have you placed on yours?

Why is the soul so valuable? The soul in the part of us that will forever live throughout all of eternity. Before God created man He said “let us make man in our own image. “God took dust from the earth, created a man and blew breath into his nostrils and he became a living soul” (Gen. 2:7)  The Hebrew word for soul is nephesh. It is the soul of humanity that will live forever

If we view the worth of our soul from God's view and not our own, we will better understand the true value of our soul and why it is important that we do not exchange it for the world and all it’s pleasures.

What have you given in exchange for your soul? What is your soul worth? Humm! Marinate on this today.

God bless and I love you all.

John 4:28-30 There is Hope

John 4:28-30 The woman then left her water pot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, 29 “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” 30 They went out of the city and came to Him.

HOPE=elpis in the greek and is defined as hope, expectation, trust, confidence.

It was in Samaria where a hopeless woman needed hope and Jesus knew that, therefore, he went there that day and ended up staying 2 days to not only give her hope, but to offer hope to all that thirst in her town also.

Perhaps you have spent years of your life in pursuit of hope through all that the world has to offer and even yet today you still find yourself coming up empty and hopeless every time because the world's fix for hope only last a little while and then you find yourself in need of it again with the same results afterwards of hopelessness.

What desperate measures have you taken in pursuit of your fulfillment of your thirst for hope? How far have you gone in your pursuit? Is it to a place where you cried out for Christ?

She had pursued one bad choice and one sinful relationship after another which caused her to be separated from God and the people in her community because they did not want to have anything to do with her. In their eyes she wore the title of one with a bad reputation. Thank God Jesus does not see as man sees.

Jesus did not tell her about her past as a means of belittling her, but to make her aware that the hope that she had been in pursuit of is right there before her. There is no need to look any further for He is the only One who can turn a life around from being hopeless to giving one hope.

Do you feel that all hope is gone? Does the struggles of life seems to be not worth it anymore to you? Are you in search of hope on today? Perhaps you are!

What well are you dipping from to find hope? Drawing from any well other than the well of Christ will forever leave you thirsty and hopeless.

Today, people are still going to wells seeking something that will satisfy their inner thirst, hope, discouragement, uncertainty and despair.

No other well can fill the thirst of hopelessness. Jesus is the answer!

Still thirsting for a well of hope? Try Jesus!

God bless.

Matthew 2:19-23 The Return Back Home To Israel

return from Egypt.jpg

Matthew 2:19-23  But when Herod was dead, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 20 saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go into the land of Israel, for those who sought the young Child’s life are dead.”

21 And he rose, took the young Child and His mother, and came into the land of Israel. 22 But when he heard that Archelaus reigned in Judea instead of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Nevertheless, being warned by God in a dream, he withdrew to the region of Galilee. 23 And he went and lived in a city called Nazareth, that what was spoken by the prophets might be fulfilled, “He shall be called a Nazarene.”

Joseph took the role as "head of the house" by the horn, and he and his family was divinely directed and protected by God every step of the way.

Where is God calling you to return back to on today? I believe He is calling you to return back to HIM through a personal relationship with Christ Jesus.

It is obedience to the will of God for our lives is where safety, security and provision is made.

It's time to return back Home to God for He is calling you to Him!

God bless.

Luke 2:10 Joy To The World

JOY.jpg

Luke 2-10 But the angel said to them, “Listen! Do not fear. For I bring you good news of great joy, which will be to all people.

JOY TO THE WORLD!

JOY=chara in the greek and is defined as joy, gladness, a source of joy.

Joy is one of the fruit of the Spirit that comes as a result of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within us.  You cannot fake joy for either we have it or we don't.  The source of joy is God.

The good news of "Jesus" arrival to earth from heaven over 2k years ago just to die to pay our sin debt in full is indeed "GOOD NEWS" to ALL people!

JOY TO THE WORLD SALVATION HAS COME!

1 John 1:9-If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Christmas is indeed about the "coming" of our Savior and the "calling" of mankind from around the world to come and experience the "JOY" of the goodness of God that is being offered to the world.

Good news of great "JOY" is being spread abroad in the hearts of men still yet today. Will you be one who will receive that "JOY" also?

The good news of the Gospel awaits you on today if you have ears to hear and a heart to receive what the Spirit is saying to you in this hour.

God bless.

Revelation 3:20 Jesus Is Knocking At The Door

door.jpg

Revelation 3:20 Behold! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with Me.

When God says "behold" in this text, He is saying "look, see," there is something I want you to pay attention to.

This text before is a part of the letter that John had written to the church of Laodicea that is described as a lukewarm church. They are neither hot or cold, just lukewarm. Because they chose not to either be hot or cold, God declares that He will "spew them out of His mouth."

Doors are everywhere and are opened either automatically or manually with our hands, body, etc., but they have to be open in order for us to enter therein.

There is also a door to our heart that must be opened also. For some of you, Jesus has been knocking at the door of your hearts for a long time and is still knocking.

The clock of all of our lives are ticking. Everyday we are a day older and a day closer to our death date. Jesus is knocking! Can you hear Jesus knocking and calling out your name?

Revelation 1:7 Look! He is coming with the clouds. Everyone will see Him, even the ones who stuck a sword through him. All people on earth will weep because of him. Yes, it will happen! Amen.

If you think the world in which we now live is chaotic, crazy and unstable, imagine living in a world where there are no Christians? Well, this is what the world would be like when Christ returns to take away His people. The world will be left in a state of chaos with only the unsaved.

Today is the day to answer the knock at the door of your heart for if you don't, you WILL be left behind when Christ returns.

NO MORE EXCUSES!

Which will it be for you on today? An open door for Christ to enter in and commune with you or a closed door that will keep Him shut out of your heart and keep you shut out of eternity forever?

I urge, beg and plea with you to open up the door of your heart to Christ on today.

Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart in hope that you will open up and let Him in.

God bless.

Hebrews 13:8 He Will Do It Again

Jesus-the-same_sample2.jpg

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever.

The proper name Jesus /ˈdʒiːzəs/ used in the English language originates from the Latin form of the Greek name Ἰησοῦς (Iēsous), a rendition of the Hebrew Yeshua (ישוע), also having the variants Joshua or Jeshua.

Jesus Christ=The son of God, a person who was both God and man, The Messiah sent by God to save the human race from the sin it inherited through the Fall of Man (Adam) in the garden of Eden.

People of God, one thing you MUST remember in the storms of life and that is the Lord our God is an unchanging God.

As I look back over my life and all the suffering, test, trials, brokenness, fiery furnaces, valley experiences, hard press areas in life that I have experienced and continue to experience, I have found God to be consistent and His Word to be true, regardless of what I may feel, think or fear at the time I went through them or at times continues to go through.

Pain and suffering has shown me that God changes not!  When I was going through, I could not see this in the midst of them because I allowed myself to see doubt and fear in them, but on the other side of suffering called "THROUGH" I now look back and see where I was strengthened in my faith in those test because their purpose was to prepare me for the next that is guaranteed to come with God.

It is in the troubles of our life is where God does His best work in and through us.

Our God is always there for us, He is always dependable and always concerned about us and what we go through. No, He will NEVER fail you nor leave or forsake you.

You may not know when or how, but God is gonna do it again if you could only believe and faint not.

Jesus is the anchor that holds over and over again even in life's fiercest battles and raging seas!

God bless.

Deuteronomy 7:9 Faithful Is Our God

faithful god.jpg

Deuteronomy 7:9  Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy with them who love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations.

FAITHFUL= "PISTOS" in the greek and is defined as believing, faithful, confiding, trusting, worthy of trust, reliable.

We are reminded in scripture that our God "FAITHFUL" and we can depend upon Him to do just what He says. None of His words will fall to the ground for they all will accomplish what

Hebrews 10:23 Let us firmly hold the profession of our faith without wavering, for He who promised is faithful..

People of God, "FAITHFUL" is our God! Put not your hope in horses and chariots, but in the in the Lord your God who is faithful to every promise.

Faithful is our God!

Bless you all on today.
