Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: 2 a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot what is planted; 3 a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh;a time to mourn, and a time to dance.

5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 a time to gain, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7 a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Memorial Day, an American holiday observed on the last Monday of May, honors men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades.

Today, we honor and remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom in giving their lives and we also recognize and honor those who are still protecting us today also.

Happy Memorial Day!

God bless you all.

Luke 11:14-26 & Matthew 12:31-42 A House Divided

Jesus and Beelzebub

14 He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. When the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke, and the crowd marveled. 15 But some of them said, “He casts out demons through Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.” 16 Others, testing Him, asked Him for a sign from heaven.

17 But He, knowing their thoughts, said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is made desolate. And a house divided against itself falls.18 If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons through Beelzebub. 19 Now if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. 20 But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, no doubt the kingdom of God has come upon you.

21 “When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are peacefully kept. 22 But when a stronger man than he attacks and overpowers him, he seizes all the armor in which the man trusted and divides his spoils.

23 “He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.

The Return of the Unclean Spirit

24 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, it goes through dry places seeking rest. Finding none, it says, ‘I will return to my house, from which I came.’ 25 When it comes, it finds it swept and furnished. 26 Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they enter and dwell there. And the last state of that man is worse than the first.”

31 Therefore I say to you, all kinds of sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven men.32 Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven. But whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, neither in this world, nor in the world to come.

A Tree and Its Fruit

33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt. For the tree is known by its fruit. 34 O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things. And an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. 36 But I say to you that for every idle word that men speak, they will give an account on the Day of Judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

The Demand for a Sign

38 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, “Teacher, we wish to see a sign from You.”

39 But He answered them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish,[a] so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and will condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah.[b] And now One greater than Jonah is here. 42 The Queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with this generation and will condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon. And now One greater than Solomon is here.

God bless.

Psalm 50:15 Are You In Trouble? Whisper A Prayer

Psalm 50:15-Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me."

Not sure who this is for on tonight, but  the Holy Spirit lead me to give this scripture to someone right now who just found themself in unexpected trouble.

Did unexpected trouble just showed up in your life? Are you in trouble? Does trouble seem to be on every hand in your life?

If you answered yes to these questions, I promise you that if you "Whisper" a prayer to the Father, He will hear and answer you.

If you whisper a prayer in your times of trouble you will feel God's presence right there where you are, even right now.

Call upon the Lord your God and He will rescue you from your troubles.

Psalm 116:2-Because He inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.

May the God of peace give you rest in Him in whatever it is that you may be going through right now.

God is listening for your whispered prayer. Call on Him!

Bless you.

Mark 8:22-26 Our God Is Indeed The "God Of The Impossible"

The Healing of a Blind Man at Bethsaida

Mark 8:22-26 - He came to Bethsaida. And they brought a blind man to Him and entreated Him to touch him. 23 He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. When He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him, “Do you see anything?” 24 He looked up and said, “I see men as trees, walking.”

25 Then again He put His hands on his eyes and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly. 26 He sent him home away to his house, saying, “Neither go into the town, nor tell it to anyone in the town.”

Standing in the need of a miracle on today? Our God is able to do the impossible for there is no impossibles with Him.

We see in one in this text and in another text that took place with 2 blind men in Matthew 9:28-When He (Jesus) entered the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” 29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith, let it be done for you.”

The same question is being put forth to all of on today who stand in need of a miracle from God. The question is "Do you have the faith to believe that God is able to perform the miracle that you desperately stand in need of on today?"

Where are you in your faith on today? is it in at a place of believing Jesus for the impossible for you on today?

Need a miracle on today? Trust God by faith to do just that for you, for He alone is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think according to our faith.

Our God is indeed the God of the impossible.

Seek Him on today for your miracle. He is waiting to perform it in your life right now.

God bless.

James 1:22 Are You A Hearer Only Or A Hearer And Doer Of God's Word

James 1:22-Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

The Apostle James is not writing to unbelievers, but He is writing to Christians.

He exhorts them to not only be a hearer of God's Word but to apply it to their lives for hearing the Word of God and not applying it to our lives is self deception and makes the Word of no effect in our life.

In other words, information is of no use if there is no application of it. The two goes hand in hand.

Are you a hearer only or a hearer and doer of God's Word?

James describes a man or woman that hears the word only in this manner. Let's listen to vs#23-24 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man viewing his natural face in a mirror. 24 He views himself, and goes his way, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was

There is a difference between being a hearer only and being a hearer and a doer. James says the man or woman who is a hearer and a doer of God's Word is blessed in whatever he or she does.

Partial obedience is no obedience.

Here is an example that is found in Genesis 2:16-17 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat, 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.”

Adam heard what God said about not eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but he did not apply obedience to what he heard. He forgot what he heard and did what he wanted.

The Word of God was not properly applied. He heard it, but he also did the opposite of what it said.

Hearer of God's Word or hearer and doer of God's Word? Which have you applied to your life? Hearings only bring about curses and hearing and doing brings about blessings.

Proverbs 3:1-2 My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; 2 for length of days and long life and peace will they add to you.

Hearer only of God's Word or hearer and doer of God's Word? Obedience or disobedience? Which have you chosen?

Are you a hearer only or a hearer and doer of God's Word?

God bless you all.

Romans 12:2-Be Ye Transformed And Not Conformed

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Conform- to fashion or shape one thing to be like another. ·

Transform- to change into another form; to be transformed into something different.

God commanded Israel to practice NOT, nor imitate the practices of their surrounding nations. They were God's people, therefore, their character and behavior MUST exemplify who they belonged to and not who they are surrounded by.

There are all kinds of pressure in the world today that is trying to make all of us a product of it. The danger of conformity is it leads one to do what they know is wrong and it never tells you how far it will take you nor of the painful consequences that comes along with it.

The good news on today is that we have "choice." We are conformed to the likeness of Christ by spirit lead thinking. Romans 10:17-Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Scripture puts it like this in Colossians 3:1-2- “Seek those things which are above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

The world’s ways and the world’s values, are not God’s ways and values. Stand firm on what you know to be true in God's Word.

When our minds have truly been transformed into the likeness of Christ, there is evidence that the perfect will of God for our lives is not only lived out before the world to see, but pleasing in the eyes of God also.

It is time for Christians to dare to be different. To stand firm and hold true to the Gospel we confess and the God we claim to love.

To whom do you follow? The Word or the world?

God bless!

Jeremiah 33:3 God Invites Us To Call On Him Today In Prayer

Jeremiah 33:3 Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.

A God given invitation for Jeremiah to call upon the Lord in his time of trouble is where we find Jeremiah who had been in prison for preaching the Word of God.

Are you in trouble? Are you in despair? Are you confused, worried and stressed about life and all that is going on in our nation and in the world? Call upon the Lord!

God gave Jeremiah a personal invitation to "call upon Him" and He is sending forth this same invite to all of us around the world on today. CALL UPON ME!!!

If we could be honest for a moment, we all stand in need of God and a need to call upon Him. God promises if we do, He will show us great and mighty things which we do not know.

GET PRAYING AND STOP TRYING TO FIGURE THINGS OUT! CALL UPON THE LORD!!!

America, God is calling us to a daily, national prayer meeting with Him from our hearts. It does not matter where you are geographically, the time to pray and seek the Lord is now!

Psalm 55:22 Take Your Burdens To The Lord And Leave Them There

Psalm 55:22-Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you;
He will never allow the righteous to be moved.

The call today is to stop the blame game and cast you cares, your worries, your burdens, your anxieties, your fears upon the Lord for in doing so He will sustain you.

God does not want us to worry for worry adds nothing to our life. If anything, it takes away our peace and joy.

Does the burden of sin have you weigh down? Call upon the Lord for He promises to hear your cry.

Cast your cares on God and rest in His promises on today for the songster says "There’s not a Friend like the lowly Jesus: No, not one! no, not one!

None else could heal all our souls’ diseases.  No, not one! no, not one! Jesus knows all about our struggles; He will guide ’til the day is done:

There’s not a Friend like the lowly Jesus: No, not one! no, not one! No friend like Him is so high and holy, No, not one! no, not one! And yet no friend is so meek and lowly,No, not one! no, not one.

There’s not an hour that He is not near us, No, not one! no, not one!

No night so dark, but His love can cheer us, No, not one! no, not one! Did ever saint find this Friend forsake him? No, not one! no, not one!

Jesus has come to us that we might come to Him. Matthew 11:28-Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

God bless.

Hebrews 11:6 FAITH

Hebrews 11:6 -  And without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Faith according to Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” “Trusting and believing in or for something to be real and true without tangible evidence of it at the time.”

According to this text, faith believes that God exist and He is who He says He is. Faith believes He is the God of the Universe, God of creation, the Sovereign God.

Faith believes that God rewards those who diligently seek Him.

Faith believes God is real and He rewards those who seek him with their whole heart.

The more we allow the Word of God to take root in our hearts, the more we get to know who God is by faith.

The more we walk by faith and not by sight, the more our faith and trust in God becomes.

The more we take possession of the Word of God and promises of God as our own, the more we become assured of things hoped for and the more we are convinced of those things that are not yet manifested in our lives, We then can rest assured by faith that they will happen because God said it.

It is by faith alone that we please God.  It is by faith alone that the evidence of God's existence is displayed in our lives.

Faith is not something we possess ourselves. It is a gift from God. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boas

Where is your faith on today? Is it in God? I can only hope and pray that it is for your reward is great in heaven if it is.

God bless.
