Proverbs 12:25- A Good Word

Proverbs 12:25-Heaviness in the heart of man makes it droop, but a good word makes it glad.

A good Word! Is there one on your lips today? There is one in the Word of God that is able to cheer up and make glad the heavy hearts of mankind.

Words are important for they can either produce good or evil. They can either hurt or heal, comfort, uplift, tear down, mislead or redirect.

Everyone of us is responsible for the words that comes out of out mouth, be it good or evil over ourselves or others.

The call today is to "encourage one another" for we all could use some encouragement at times. 1 Thessalonians 5:11-Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Words can either build up or tear down. What we say can either lift up or tear down.

As Christians, we are being called to speak "good words" that build up our sisters and brothers and not those that tears them down.

The best words of all are what we call the "GOOD NEWS", the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the Word of God that causes us to encourage, exhort and edify each other. It is the word of God that sustains us.

A kind word of hope spoken to a hurting heart cost us nothing, therefore when the opportunity presents itself, we MUST do it!

We are reminded in this text that our words can have positive or negative affect in the lives of those we encounter on a daily basis.

Proverbs 18:21-Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

A good word! Do you have one to share on today? I have no doubt for the pages of the Bible is full of them.

A Good Word! Share it today for the lost, wounded in heart and contrite in spirit need to hear what God is saying to them in this hour in which we live.

Proverbs 2:13-To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

Remember, a "GOOD WORD" makes the heart happy and not heavy.

God bless.

Psalm 106:1 THANKSGIVING AND PRAISE

Psalm 106:1-Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good,  for His mercy endures forever.

The Psalmist call us to a triumphant cry of " THANKSGIVING AND PRAISE" unto the Lord our God.

As Israel was called to give thanks unto the Lord back then for all He had done for them in delivering them from Egypt, parting the red sea, etc, we too as God's people are being called to give thanks unto our God on today also for indeed He has been good and merciful to us too.

The Lord our God deserves our praise for He has done marvelous things for all of us. He has delivered us from the snares of the enemy over and over again and He is still keeping us today.

It is the Lord God who has made us and not we ourselves. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Therefore, we MUST enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks unto Him for the Lord our God is good and His love, mercy and faithfulness towards us endures forever.

Praise the Lord our God people of God.  Great, Mighty and Excellent is His name in all the earth!

God's love and everlasting mercy is available to all who would receive it by faith.

Render unto the Lord our God what is not only due to Him, but, also what He deserves.

People of God, open wide your mouth and lift up the name of the Lord our God! Share your testimony of His goodness with someone on today.

Hallelujah!!!! Glory to Your name Lord!

Romans 8:18- THERE WILL BE "JOY" AFTER THIS

Romans 8:18- For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us.

Apostle Paul addresses this letter to Jewish and Gentile Christians at the churches in Rome. These Christians were not only discouraged but many of them who had been scattered abroad from their home town of Jerusalem were still being persecuted because of their faith in Christ.

Suffering? Every human being will drink from the cup of suffering, saved or unsaved.

Yes, there WILL be "GLORY AFTER THIS"

Are you suffering and sad on this morning? Has the test and trials of life caused you to want to quit on God? Don't do it! Press your way through for great is your reward in heaven my brothers and sisters.

God bless you all as you glory in the promise from your God to you on today that there will be "JOY" after this.

Matthew 5:9 PEACEMAKERS

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

This text is a part of Jesus "Sermon on the Mount." Also known as the "Beatitudes" which is a declaration of "blessedness" spoken by Jesus.

Jesus says "blessed are the "peacemakers."

Peace-Shalom in Hebrew. Harmony, wholeness, completeness, prosperity, welfare and tranquility and can be used idiomatically to mean both hello and goodbye.

Peace is more than just the absence of conflict. It has a lot to do with our day to day relationship with one another also, be it people or nations.

Peace just does not happen on it's own. It has to be desired and then acted upon.

What the world needs now is "peace" with God and the peace of God.

As Christians, we are called to be "peacemakers " and not confusion or trouble makers.

Peacemakers are not only "blessed", but they are also called the "children of God." Oh, what a breath of fresh air and a sigh of relief these words bring to those of us who were once alienated from God with a spirit of unrest and no peace, but are now reconciled back to Him through Christ Jesus.

Because of what Christ did for us in reconciling us back to God, we should put forth every effort at every opportunity to make peace with one another.

Are you at odds or war with someone? Do you want peace between you and them? It has to start with you!

Being a peacemaker is much more than the absence of war, or being “against war.” It is the presence of God's love in the midst of hate and evil.

Peace isn’t just tolerating each other. Peace is about recognizing ourselves in others. Peace is about realizing that we are ll in the battle of life together.  Peace is about recognizing the need for each other.

If you daily make the choice as a child of God to be a "peacemaker" Jesus says you are not only blessed, but you shall be called a "child of God" who seeks the good for all through loving people as Christ has loved you.

Is Jesus describing you when He says "blessed are the peacemakers?

Where do you stand concerning peace in your relationship with others?

God bless.

Psalm 27:13-14 Through It All

Psalm 27:13-14 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. 14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

David had a choice to either believe the giants in his life that he was facing or to trust God and take Him at His Word. David chose to trust God for he said in vs#13- I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

David had history with God. He spent time with God starting from a young boy, therefore, by faith David was able to see the hands of God working on his behalf and in the midst of danger.

David's life was not trouble free and neither will yours or mine be. The key is  "faith" in God.

Through it all, David learned to trust in God and to take Him at His Word. We must do to the same!

Everyone of us can look back over our lives and see the things that we have gone through and how God not only strengthen us in them, but he brought us through them all.

People of God, my words to you on today is this "THROUGH IT ALL" put your faith and trust in God for He alone is the one who can shelter you in your time of trouble in His secret place.

Are the storms of your life raging? What are you gonna do about it?

1 Peter 1:7-These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold--though your faith is far more precious than mere gold.

I spent years allowing the enemy to torment my mind, but once I realized that God was for me and not against me, I purposed in my heart that "THROUGH IT ALL" I WILL trust God and take Him at His Word."

THROUGH IT ALL! I have learned to trust in God and to depend upon His Word.

Is this your testimony on today also?

God bless.

1 Thessalonians 5:17- PRAY

1 Thessalonians 5:17- Pray without ceasing.

People of God, the Lord our God is speaking to us on today with a clarion call to pray, pray, pray!

The call from heaven to earth is resounding! Do you hear it? Get in the spirit and you will hear God calling you to prayer of intercession.

"Pray without ceasing!" these 3 words carry a life changing message.

God honors prayer, for He says when we pray to Him,  He will answer us.

The Apostle Paul's call to every believers around the world is to "pray" continually with fervency to God our Father.

People of God, pray and make intercessions for all people. 1 Timothy 2:1-3 Therefore I exhort first of all that you make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for everyone, 2 for kings and for all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty, 3 for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.

People of God, 'PRAYER" must become our attitude in all circumstances. We must learn to continually pray at all times and at every opportunity in every situation. This does not mean that you have to open your mouth and pray out loud, no you can pray soft and quiet from your inside voice. The key is to "PRAY"!

People of God, Pray without ceasing and in everything give thank for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us.

God listens to His people all the time and He hears their cry for help.

Psalm 91:15-He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, and I will deliver him and honor him.

People of God, continue praying. Don't quit!

God bless.

John 13:18-35 Jesus Foretells His Betrayal

John 13:18-35- “I am not referring to all of you; I know those I have chosen. But this is to fulfill this passage of Scripture: ‘He who shared my bread has turned[a] against me.’[b] 19 “I am telling you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe that I am who I am. 20 Very truly I tell you, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me.”

21 After he had said this, Jesus was troubled in spirit and testified, “Very truly I tell you, one of you is going to betray me.” 22 His disciples stared at one another, at a loss to know which of them he meant. 23 One of them, the disciple whom Jesus loved, was reclining next to him. 24 Simon Peter motioned to this disciple and said, “Ask him which one he means.”

25 Leaning back against Jesus, he asked him, “Lord, who is it?” 26 Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish.” Then, dipping the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. 27 As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. So Jesus told him, “What you are about to do, do quickly.”

28 But no one at the meal understood why Jesus said this to him. 29 Since Judas had charge of the money, some thought Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the festival, or to give something to the poor. 30 As soon as Judas had taken the bread, he went out. And it was night.

31 When he had gone out, Jesus then said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and in Him God is glorified. 32 If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself and will immediately glorify Him.

33 “Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You will seek Me. And as I said to the Jews, so now I tell you, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’

34 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Jesus not only chose these disciples, but He loved them also. He spent days and nights with them on land and sea, teaching them the things of God and the ways of God.

After 3 years of intense training and now at the end of His earthly ministry, Jesus now informs His disciples that He will be betrayed by one of them who sits at meat with Him at this last supper.

With foreknowledge of all that was going to happen to Him, Jesus chose not to alter God's plan. But instead, He said "Father, not my will, thy will be done".

Immediately following the last supper, Judas, His betrayer, gets up and leave the table that night and set out on his mission to betray Jesus.

God bless.

Matthew 26:47-56 A "KISS" Of "BETRAYAL"

Matthew 26:47-56- While He was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, came. And with him was a great crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and elders of the people. 48 Now he who betrayed Him had given them a sign, saying, “Whomever I shall kiss is the Man. Seize Him.” 49 He immediately came to Jesus and said, “Hail, Rabbi!” and kissed Him.

50 And Jesus said to him, “Friend, why have you come?”

Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and took Him. 51 Immediately, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

52 Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back in its place. For all those who take up the sword will perish by the sword. 53 Do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will at once give Me more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must be so?”

55 At that same moment Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out as against a thief to take Me with swords and clubs? Daily I sat with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize Me. 56 But all this was done that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.

Judas, one of the 12 Disciples chosen by Jesus now betrays Him.

Judas' betrayal of Jesus was no surprise to Jesus. Jesus knew who Judas was before He choose Him to be one of His disciples.

Let's listen to how Jesus called "Judas" out as His betrayer without mentioning his name as He chose His disciples. In John 6:70-Jesus said, "I chose the twelve of you, but one is a devil."

Jesus' betrayal! It was all a part of God's plan that would eventually lead to His death by the shedding of His blood on a cross at "Calvary's Hill"for the sins of everyone of us that is born.

Out of love, Jesus chose to voluntarily suffer and die at the hands of His enemies just for you and I.

A "KISS" of "BETRAYAL!"  WOW!

God bless.

Matthew 27:3-10 Self Destruction Of A Betrayer

Matthew 27:3-10  When Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that He was condemned, he repented and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4 saying, “I have sinned in that I have betrayed innocent blood.”

They said, “What is that to us? You must see to that.”

5 So he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed. And he went and hanged himself.

6 The chief priests took the silver pieces and said, “It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, because this is the price of blood.” 7 So they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field to bury strangers in. 8 Therefore that field has been called the Field of Blood to this day. 9 Then what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: “They took the thirty pieces of silver, the value of that the sons of Israel set on Him, 10 and gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord appointed me.”

Judas Iscariot, the betrayer of Jesus and one of the twelve Apostles, took his own life after realizing that he had been bewitched by satan to betray the Lord Jesus Christ.

The enemy of our heart and soul is not only real, but he is a vicious and evil enemy. He will put forth every weapon in his arsenal to convince us that we can do evil and get away with it.

Judas, in part of God's eternal plan, set up Jesus to be crucified, but on the other hand, Judas died by hanging with his own blood stained hands.

"The "KISS" of "BETRAYAL"!

Be very careful of the seeds you sow! Galatians 6:7- Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Who have you betrayed? Is it or was it worth it? Is "betrayal" the value that you have placed on your soul? Do you believe that is all you are worth?

What price have you paid this far in your betrayal of others?

Make the turn today away from "betrayal" and turn to "JESUS" for He alone is the one who can save you in the end.

Jesus offers you forgiveness on today and I can only hope and pray that you freely accept His offer for as He said over 2k years ago, He says it again today concerning you and I "FATHER FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW WHAT THEY DO."

Betrayal or forgiveness? Which have you chosen?

God bless.

Luke 24:1-12 JESUS IS ALIVE

Luke 24:1-12 Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices they had prepared. 2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb. 3 But when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were greatly perplexed concerning this, suddenly two men stood by them in shining garments. 5 As they were afraid and bowed their faces to the ground, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but has risen! Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, 7 saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.’ ” 8 Then they remembered His words.

9 And they returned from the tomb and reported all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. 10 It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and other women with them, who told these things to the apostles. 11 But their words seemed like fables to them, and they did not believe them. 12 But Peter rose and ran to the tomb. Stooping down, he saw the linen clothes lying by themselves. He departed, wondering in himself what had happened.

OVER 2K YEARS AGO, MY JESUS DIED AND 3 DAYS LATER HE RESURRECTED FROM THE DEAD.

HE IS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!

He is now seated in heaven at the right hand of God the Father. Mark 16:19 After the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat at the right hand of God.

Life is worth the living because He lives.

HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY!

God bless you all.
