John 8:32-True Freedom Is Found In God Alone

John 8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Looking for true joy, peace, deliverance, freedom  from sin, the cares, tears and worries of life?

Well, let me make you aware of this one thing first and that is "you will NEVER find it in man!"

True deliverance, healing, wholeness, rest, freedom and peace is only obtained through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by faith alone.

As the song writer says "searched all over, I looked high and low, still could not find nobody, nobody greater, nobody greater than You, Lord.

The captives are all of us who was ever born. We were born in sin that was passed down to us by our first parents, Adam and Eve. 

It is the God's Word that makes us free from our sinful condition.

When satan and the world make every attempt to lie and persuade you into believing that their truth is the real truth and God's Word is a lie,  here is what we are commanded to do in scripture according to The Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 10:5-casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

God does not lie! Numbers 23:19-God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

What is truth? John 17:17-Sanctify them in the truth; your "Word" is truth. In other words, God's Word is the ticket to mankind's freedom from the bondage of sin.

God's Word is infallible, which means Tekmérion in the Greek. In english it means that it provides indisputable information and is unmistakable. In other words, without trustworthy and without "ERROR"!

SET YOURSELF FREE ON TODAY BY LETTING GO AND LETTING GOD!

You have tried over and over again based on your truth to fix yourself and it has not worked for you. You are still tired and stressed out about trying to make life work in your way and in your time. 

God's Word declares that He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Have you tried Him? Will you trust Him to deliver you on today?

Genesis 3:12-13 The Blame Game

Genesis 3:12-13 The man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.”

13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What have you done?” And the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

We all know the story of our first parents, Adam and Eve and how sin entered into the world. Yes, they started what is known today as the "blame game" because they did not want to take responsibility for their disobedience to God.

Who are you blaming for your sin problems? Who in your family or your relationship is suffering the consequences of your sinful choices? Is it your spouse, your children, your marriage, your parents, etc.?

Believe it or not, but God can heal us from the blame game.

To be healed, we must admit that we are sinners in need of a "Savior." We must acknowledge and accept responsibility for our sins. We must admit that we can not fix ourselves and that we need God's help.

If we are willing to admit, confess and take responsibility for our sins, God's grace is sufficient for us and is able to cleanse us from all of our unrighteousness and we can begin a new life in Him through Christ Jesus.

Over 2k years ago, God made "GRACE" available to all of us at the Cross. Yes, it is at the cross where Jesus shed His blood to take away the sins of the world. It is at the cross where God's amazing "GRACE" awaits all of us.

If you want to blame someone, blame Jesus for taking on ALL of our sins and remembering them no more, once we by faith accept God's atoning work that was done on our behalf at the cross.

Are you in need of God's "GRACE" and mercy on today? We all are!

Remember when there appears to be no hope from the blame game, there is "GRACE"!

Job 1:8-SUFFERING

Job 1:8- And the Lord said to the Adversary, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and an upright man, who fears God, and avoids evil?”

Suffering!  Who likes it? If we could be honest for a moment and tell the truth, none of us like to suffer. Indeed, suffering is one thing we all HATE to go through, but it is a part of the process and one of the many vehicles that God uses to conform us into the likeness of His Son, Jesus Christ. 

Scripture declares that it was God who gave satan permission to attack Job. Did you hear that? God gave him permission. The enemy can not do nothing to us that God does not allow to happen. 

Guess what? Satan is under God's control. He had to seek permission from God to attack Job and he has to seek permission from God to attack you and I.

God allowed Job's suffering and He too will allow us to suffer. Like Job, our faith too will be tested. Like Job, we too CAN NOT allow the pain and suffering to cause us to waiver in our faith in God.

Job had lost 10 children, all of his live stocks, his servants, his health and even his relationship with his wife who told him to "curse God and die." 

In the midst of pain, suffering, loss, all at the permission of God by satan, Job chose to remain faithful instead of bitter.

Can God brag on us? Can we brag on God in the midst of our sufferings?

Without the test, trials, struggles and sufferings of life, we will never grow spiritually. We will never know what God is able to do on our behalf if we never go through anything. We will never be able to say, "let me tell you what the Lord has done for me" if we never suffered through anything. No test, no testimony!

Yes you may be suffering right now and satan may be trying to convince you that you will never get out of it, but God will see you through.

As the old adage goes "no pain, no gain"! Our "spirit man" needs exercise too and sometimes exercising can be very pain the day after or even several days afterwards.

Our assurance on today is that God will do just what He said concerning His people.

HOLD ON people of God! Help is on the way. God gave Job double after he had suffered a little while.

Philippians 4:12- CONTENTMENT

Philippians 4:12-I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

Contentment= Autarkeia in the Greek. "to suffice, be sufficient" – properly, self-sufficient; used of the Spirit-filled Christian – having  all they need within through the indwelling Christ. 

The Apostle Paul wrote this letter to the church at Philippi while he was a prisoner. Yes, Paul was in prison at the time of this writing and here he  is writing to encourage the Christians.

Even in prison? YES! Even in prison, Paul was content!

Contentment is a behavior that is learned. But, in order to learn from them, we must practice self control with the right attitude while in them.

How can we know how to be content in all circumstances if we never go through situations that forces us to be either content or discontent

In looking at your current situation, have you been lead to believe that you can't be content? Paul says we can if Christ is in us and we are in Him. Stay connected to God through prayer and the Word of God.

If we follow Paul's examples in how Christ helped him to be content, we too like Paul, will be able to boldly confess that we too have learned to be content in plenty or in lack."

Contentment is to know that God is in control of all things. He is bigger than any problems we can and will ever have and that He is going to work them ALL out for our good if we belong to Him.

Contentment! Can we find it? Can we learn it? Yes, through Christ we are able to do all things.

Proverbs 15:1-14 Words Of Wisdom

Proverbs 15:1-14-A soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger.

2 The tongue of the wise uses knowledge aright, but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness.

3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.

4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it crushes the spirit.

5 A fool despises his father’s instruction, but he who regards reproof is prudent.

6 In the house of the righteous is much treasure, but in the revenue of the wicked is trouble.

7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, but the heart of the foolish does not do so.

8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.

9 The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the Lord, but He loves him who follows after righteousness.

10 Correction is grievous to him who forsakes the way, and he who hates reproof will die.

11 Death and destruction are before the Lord; so how much more the hearts of the children of men.

12 A scorner does not love one who reproves him, nor will he go to the wise.

13 A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

14 The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.

A wise man or woman receives and applies Godly wisdom.

Luke 1:31 The Name of "JESUS" Is A "BEAUTIFUL" Name

Luke 1:31-Listen, you will conceive in your womb and bear a Son and shall call His name JESUS.

When Mary was visited by the Angel Gabriel He spoke these powerful, divine words to her and she responded with these words in vs#-38 “I am the servant of the Lord. May it be unto me according to your word.” 

In a dream, an Angel of the Lord spoke to Joseph who was Mary's betrothed husband in Matthew 1:21- She will give  birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name "JESUS" because He will save His people from their sins."

Jesus! What a beautiful name it is!

Jesus=Iēsoús in the greek – Jesus, the transliteration of the Hebrew term,("Yehoshua"/Jehoshua, contracted to "Joshua") which means "Yahweh saves" (or "Yahweh is salvation")

Jesus! Immanuel, which means God is with us, therefore, nothing can separate us from His love for us. NOTHING! I do not care what it is that we may have to suffer or go thru, GOD IS WITH US!

JESUS! Continue to call out His name people of God and I guarantee something will happen in your spirit.

JESUS! There is miracle working power in that name. There is healing in the name of "JESUS".

Do you need healing and or deliverance on today? Be it spiritual, physical, mental, emotional or financial? CALL ON THE NAME OF "JESUS".

At the name of "JESUS" Power is released in your life and you are set free when you call His name.

JESUS! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL NAME!

Psalm 86:7 -Trouble

Psalm 86:7- In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

This text is a part of David's prayer to the Lord his God. 

David declares with conviction in prayer that when he is in trouble, he calls upon the Lord his God and He answers Him.

Are you in trouble? What should you do? As with David, we too must call upon the Lord when the issues of our lives are contrary to the Word of God and what it says concerning us.

In this troubled world in which we live in, our great need for our Great God and His direction in our life should drive us to pray to our Great God, who is Mighty in power, love, grace, and mercy. Yes, He alone can deliver us from any situation that we may find ourselves in today if we call on Him.

The point that I want to make today is that in our times of trouble or distress, NEVER stop calling upon the name of the Lord, keep praying, keep trusting and keep believing, regardless of how long it may take to get your breakthrough for our God is indeed FAITHFUL and He will hear and answer our prayers.

ARE YOU IN TROUBLE? Call upon the Lord our Great God and He will hear and answer our prayer.

James 1:19-20 Responding To The Issue Of Life

James 1:19-20 Therefore, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, 20 for the anger of man does not work the righteousness of God.

Responding to the issues of life! How do we do that? Do we say the first thing that comes to mind? 

What can we do when God does not take away our problems in our timing? What can we do when someone else problems affects us?

The writer of this text, James who is the half brother of Jesus helps us by giving us some wise advise on how to respond to the issue of life.

James tell us to be (1) swift to hear, (2) slow to speak (3) slow to anger.

We ALL must learn how to "talk less" and "listen more. We all are guilty of speaking words at times that hurt and not build up.

Proverbs 29:20 Do you see someone who speaks in haste? There is more hope for a fool than for them.

Today we are called to be wise in our thinking and in our reactions to the issues of life. To do this we must operate in the wisdom of God which is found in the Word of God.

Believe it or not, but we can not fight fire with fire.

How are we responding to the issue of life? Do we need to change the way we are currently responding to the issues of life? If we could be honest for a moment, we all should answer with a resounding "YES" to this question.

Change is possible for all of us. Stay connected to God and we will see positive results of change in our lives.

Psalm 122:1-9 Glad To Be In His Service One More Time

Psalm 122:1- 0 - I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord.” 2 Our feet shall stand within your gates, O Jerusalem.

3 Jerusalem is built as a city that is designed for a multitude, 4 where the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, as a decree of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.


5 There are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:“May they prosper who love you!7 Peace be within your walls and security within your towers!”

8 For my brothers and companions’ sake, I will now say, “Peace be within you.”9 Because of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your good.

Glad to be in His Service one more time!

Psalm 86:11 We Need You Lord

Psalm 86:11 Teach me Your way, O Lord,  that I will walk in Your truth; bind my heart to fear Your name.

This text is a part of David's prayer to the Lord for comfort and mercy in his time of distress.

 Are you in need of God's help? Scripture declares that the Lord loves and gives grace to the humble. As my mother, Mella Mae and my grandmother Cora would say "the humble child taste the grace."

When we are humbly being taught by God, the things of God and honoring His name will become an automatic for us.

Teach me thy way, O Lord. When we are truly taught by God, we will do our best to pursue and "walk in His way." The way in which He has shown us through His Word and not our own way.

I will walk in thy truth! In other words, Lord, I will live and act in accordance with what You have declared to be true in your Word and in doing so, I am pursuing your will and not mine.

Teach me your way O Lord for I am in need of your help! A divided heart starts with us but a unified heart starts and ends with you O Lord.

SHOW ME YOUR WAY O LORD! O Lord, give us an undivided heart.

Thank you Lord for hearing and answering our prayers.
