ISAIAH 55:6-7 SEEK NOW THE LORD WITH URGENCY

Isaiah 55:6-7 Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. 7-Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and return to the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him , and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon Him.

In a world full of confusion and chaos, now is the time to seek God like never before.

IN HIM!! Yes, In God alone is where everything that you stand in need of is available.

Do not look to the north, south, east or west, but look unto God who is the author and finisher of your faith. Draw nigh unto God and He will draw night unto you.

God alone is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think according to our faith.

To draw nigh unto God starts with an attitude of gratitude first. The time to seek God with URGENCY is now!!!

Time out for seeking other people, things, titles, material possession, conformity to the world, self help groups, etc. IT IS TIME TO SEEK THE LORD!!!! “Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save” (Ps. 146:3, NIV).

God is sending forth a clarion call to the world to the world, and He promises that if we seek Him, “we will find me when you seek me with all your heart” (Jer. 29:13NIV).

When you have spent your entire life seeking temporary things and never seeking God, where will you spend eternity?

Tomorrow is not promised and it may be too late for you. “How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog--it's here a little while, then it's gone” (Jas 4:14, NIV).

Seek the Lord while He may be found!

God bless.

Psalm 28:7 STRENGTH

Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.

Oh what a declaration!

The Psalmist, David declares on today that God is his inward strength when he is weak, his outward shield against fiery dots of the enemy and his provider of help when he is in need.

Because of who God is and what He is doing in his life, David declares that nothing but joy and songs of praise comes from the fruit of his lips to the Father.

People of God, today is a day of rejoicing! The Lord our God covers us from the snares of the enemy. As my Pastor, Rev. Isaac J. Holt, Jr. would say "the enemy trap broke!” GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY!!

Knowing who our God is, we can find rest on today in a weary world. David rested in his God in the midst of trouble, for He had found God to be his strength, a shield and help in his time of need and trouble.

WHO IS LIKE OUR GOD? There is NONE like Him!

Open up your heart and let the King of glory come in. Psalm 24:10-Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty—  He is the King of glory.

People of God, open your mouth and sing a new song unto the Lord for He HAS BEEN and STILL IS  good to ALL of us.

In need of strength, a shield and help in your time of trouble? TRY JESUS FOR THERE IS NONE LIKE HIM!

God bless.

Psalm 100 Everyday Is A Day Of Thanksgiving

Psalm 100 - Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth! 2     Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves,  we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,  and into His courts with praise; be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy endures forever,  and His faithfulness to all generations.

God bless.

Luke 1:57-80 The Birth Of John The "Forerunner"

Luke 1:57-66 When Elizabeth’s son was born, 58 her neighbors and relatives heard how kind the Lord had been to her, and they too were glad.

59 Eight days later they did for the child what the Law of Moses commands.[f] They were going to name him Zechariah, after his father. 60 But Elizabeth said, “No! His name is John.”

61 The people argued, “No one in your family has ever been named John.” 62 So they motioned to Zechariah to find out what he wanted to name his son.

63 Zechariah asked for a writing tablet. Then he wrote, “His name is John.” Everyone was amazed. 64 Right away, Zechariah started speaking and praising God.

65 All the neighbors were frightened because of what had happened, and everywhere in the hill country people kept talking about these things.

66 Everyone who heard about this wondered what this child would grow up to be. They knew that the Lord was with him.

67 The Holy Spirit came upon Zechariah, and he began to speak:

68 Praise the Lord, the God of Israel! He has come to save his people.

69 Our God has given us a mighty Savior[g from the family of David his servant.. 70 Long ago the Lord promised by the words of his holy prophets.

71 to save us from our enemies and from everyone who hates us.

72 God said he would be kind to our people and keep his sacred promise.

73 He told our ancestor Abraham 74 that he would rescue us from our enemies. then we could serve Him without fear.
75 by being holy and good as long as we live.

76 You, my son, will be called a prophet of God in heaven above. You will go ahead of the Lord to get everything ready for him.

77 You will tell his people that they can be saved when their sins are forgiven.

78 God’s love and kindness will shine upon us like the sun that rises in the sky. 79 On us who live in the dark shadow of death this light will shine to guide us into a life of peace.

80 As John grew up, God’s Spirit gave him great power. John lived in the desert until the time he was sent to the people of Israel.

God bless.

Matthew 1:18-25 JOY TO THE WORLD THE LORD HAS COME

Matthew 1:18-25-Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.

20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Matthew 2:16-18 King Herod Orders Killing of Infants

Matthew 2:16-18- Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, was utterly furious and sent forth and killed all the male children who were in Bethlehem and the surrounding region, from two years old and under, based on the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. 17 Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet:

18 “In Ramah a voice was heard, grieving and weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and she would not be comforted, because they are no more.”[c]

Herod, having realized that he had been tricked by the "wise men" who did not return to him to tell him where "Jesus" was, became furious, frustrated, enraged, fearful and angry. Evil at it’s worse!

In the midst of his fury of roller coaster emotions, Herod now set forth in motion his plot to kill "Jesus" by ordering every male child in Bethlehem and the surrounding region, from 2 years old or under be slaughtered.

Although Herod was the king and His commands would be put in action, He is not the ultimate authority, God is!!

Even though the ruthless command of Herod was carried out in the brutal killing of all infants 2 years old and younger, Jesus was spared for God directed Joseph to take Him to Egypt where He would be safe until the death of Herod.

Instead of singing, rejoicing and worshiping at the good news of the arrival of the long awaited "Messiah", there was jealousy, doubt, unbelief, hate, rage, anger, disbelief, rejection and on and on.

God has given His Son, Jesus as the ultimate sacrificial offering for the sins of humanity through the shedding of His blood at Calvary.

Jesus was born to die for you and I. The question to be answered on today by you is "how will you respond" to Jesus birth?"

God bless.

Luke 10:25-37 The Good Samaritan

Luke 10:25-37 Now, a lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you read?”

27 He answered, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind’[a] and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’[b]”

28 He said to him, “You have answered correctly. Do this, and you will live.”

29 But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

30 Jesus answered, “A man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing and wounded him and departed, leaving him half dead. 31 By chance a priest came down that way. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

32 So likewise a Levite, when he came to that place, looked at him and passed by on the other side.

33 But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion on him, 34 and went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine. Then he set him on his own donkey and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35 The next day when he departed, he took out two denarii[c] and gave them to the innkeeper and said to him, ‘Take care of him. I will repay you whatever else you spend when I return.’

36 “Now which of these three do you think was a neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?”

37 He said, “The one who showed mercy on him.”

God bless.

Psalm 119:67 Wandering Away From God's Word Brings Affliction

Psalm 119:67 Before I was afflicted I wandered, but now I keep Your word.

Afflicted-enuth in greek- Affected with continued or often repeated pain, either of body or mind; suffering grief or distress, of any kind;  Difficult or painful circumstances or situations.

Wandered- to stray, ramble here and there without any certain course or object in view; as, to wander over the fields; to wander about the town, or about the country. To deviate from duty.

The psalmist declares in this text that affliction was good for him because it forced him back to God. The Psalmist learned the price of going astray and the consequence of affliction that comes with straying away from God.

Where has straying away from God landed you at? What trap or pit have we fallen into? Has affliction lead us back to the Word of God? I can only hope and pray that it did.

It is the Word of God that brings our flesh under subjection and obedience to the authority of God's Word. God and His Word go hand in hand. You can not have one without the other.

Pain, suffering, and affliction is a resounding alarm clock for all of us!

Through the process of affliction we as believer learns to appreciate the goodness of God’s character and His actions. Therefore, being afflicted leads us to greater intimacy with God.

Afflictions of life has taught me to humble ourselves before God and under His Mighty Hands.

Affliction produces in us patience and submission to the divine will of God for our lives.

Affliction calls us from wandering to returning to the path of Holiness and duty in the Kingdom of God.

God knows the heart of every one of us and he knows the best way to reach our hearts.

Before I was afflicted I wandered, but now I keep Your Word.

Is this your testimony on today? It’s mine!

God bless.
